"Uncle Gwyn had the long hair and the hat... the dapper one. I don't know a ton about the tree, but he says it should have fruit in a couple months," Alaric answered and looked from the flowers to Lottie. Taking them from the garden was definitely a bad idea. He also couldn't just say no, absolutely not. There was always the other option. "I'm pretty sure he can just give you some himself if you wanna ask."

"We actually have a huge training room where I could show you what I can do, if you want too," there was so much of this manor that he could show, and it still wouldn't feel complete. That said, maybe at some point he'd invite her to his own home over break or something. "We uh.. we have food... if you're hungry."

"Oh that one is Gwyn! Well that will be easy to remember then. Well if your sure about it I will be sure to ask him when I next see him about the flowers. They are a part of his hoard after all." piped up Lottie, eager to take one of the flowers back with her. While they were pretty, part of her wanted to bring one for her friend Sage to analyze. Her eyes then linger on the tree, imaging what its flowering fruits will become in a few months time "And maybe ask him about trying of those fruits when they ready. You know, if they are safe for human consumption and all that."

"Training room? Oh yeah lets do that! A demonstration of all your abilities would be nice. Plus I could show off my powers too!" said Lottie with visible excitement, though the mention of food made her realize that she was indeed... a bit hunger. "But... now that you mention it I am feeling a little peckish. So lets eat something before we exert ourselves trying to be show offs."

Alaric shifted back into his more human form, and stretched a bit. "Yeah we can talk to him about the flowers and fruit and stuff. It shouldn't be a big deal," he said glancing back at the tree. His tail was still swaying rather excitedly. He was hungry, but he was also eager to show off his abilities.

Well, there was one thing he could kind of show off now as he looked back up at the deck. "Better to work on a full stomach for sure. Gives something to burn off."

Alaric extended his hand to Lottie to take. From there he'd lift her up and fly both of them back onto the deck.

"Alright, lets eat and fill up our bellies!" piped up Lottie, her stomach growling a bit at the idea of getting some food.

Lottie looks to the extended hand for the moment before taking the offered hand and holding onto it firmly. Then she was suddenly trusted into the air by Alaric's powerful wings. There was half second of terror followed up by pure bliss flying in the air. Lottie couldn't help but laugh trying keep her hat held on her head with one hand while her book firmly tucked under her armpit.

"Ha ha ha HAAA! That was fun. So that is what flying is like? That was like... amazing!" blurted out Lottie once her feet reached the deck, still a bit giddy from bring shot up into the air like some amusement part ride.

"That was really just a short hop, wasn't anything too crazy," Alaric replied, he was totally playing it cool. Of course, this was the first time he'd just scooped up a girl and flown off with her... even if it was only for a couple seconds. He'd have to actually take her flying at some point maybe. But for now, snacks.

Alaric led Lottie back into the mansion to the kitchen. It was large and well stocked with various foods, but mostly meats. Dragons being primarily carnivorous did tend to keep a good bit of meat in stock. That said there were still fairly ordinary snack foods such as chips, cookies and other things laid out neatly. After all, the mansion did get its fair share of teens coming through. "I guess we can just help ourselves. Did you want anything in particular?"

"Pfffttt... that was quite the bunny hop then." playfully snarked Lottie, rolling her eyes for added effected before following him kitchen.

Upon walking in Lottie was in awe of how much food was stockpiled, especially meats! But then, this was manor home to dragon clan so would she have expected anything less? Meat wasn't the only thing on the menu as Alaric took the time to show off a large number of snacks.

"Anything? Uhhh..." Lottie just looked at all of the food items vying for her attention. With so many options she was a bit spoiled for choice. "... how about these? And this too!"

By the time Lottie finished picking out things she holding: a bag Cool Ranch Doritos, a packaged rice crispy treat, some fig bars, and link of kielbasa sausage.

"How long will this have to cook this for?" inquired Lottie as she held up the sausage.

Alaric had grabbed a couple bags of chips himself, as well as some dried meat. Then he grabbed a metal skewer from a drawer, and took the sausage from Lottie. "Not too long with me around," he stepped back a bit, inhaling through his nose. Then he exhaled a steady stream of flames, turning the sausage as he did so. After a few moments he handed it back to her nice and well cooked.

"We actually use cooking to teach fine control of our flames," he grinned, at that. He was pretty good at controlling his flames. "Basically it's a lesser known stereotype that dragons with a good degree of control over their fire are also really good cooks."

Lottie observed Alaric cooked her kielbasa with his fiery breath. She was a little apprehensive as she knew how powerful dragon was but to her surprise it was cooked to perfection! Even before she opened her big mouth Alaric was quick to explain how dragons cooked with their flames as an exercise in controlling their fiery breath.

"Ohhh! Never would have thought of that... usually I imagine dragons eating their food raw but... it would make a lot of sense when you think about." remarked Lottie as she has the sausage placed onto a plate. It never crossed her mind that dragons would make great cooks but the way Alaric explained it to totally made a lot of sense. She will have to remember to make note of that little known stereotype in her grimoire when her hands were free.

"Gosh... being able between being able to breath fire, fly and cook your own meals, isn't there anything you can't do?" gushed Lottie, knowing full well that she was feeling his pride. When looked at her arms she realized she needed one more thing "Oh! Do you have forks and knives around? And maybe a glass of water before we feast?"

"Well, we do eat our meat raw sometimes, but yeah we'll also cook it too," Alaric answered as he grabbed some eating utensils and a glass of water for Lottie. He assumed it was for the sausage, but he wasn't going to question. All the food he'd grabbed was in fact finger food.

"What kind of magic do you have? Everyone says humans are a lot more adaptable with how they use magic compared to other races," Alaric asked before popping some food into his mouth. He then realized his question was kind of silly, Lottie could just show him when they went down to the training room. He'd chock it up to his curiosity getting the better of him.

"Mhmmffff? HRmphh!" was the noise Lottie made as was busy sampling the chips. She holds up her index finger to beckon him to wait for a moment as she swallowed. Lottie then inspected the cool ranch dust on her fingertips, then looked over to Alaric, then looked for her fingers with a more thoughtful expression. Her head swiveled around for a bit before finding some napkins for her to wipe her fingers on.

"Oh that is a weird spiciness to those chips! But you were asking about my magic? Well... I don't really have theme to magic that I use unlike some other. No elemental magics, no messing with the dead nor calling upon a divine. Just... raw arcane magic. I try to keep at range with bolts of magic with my wand but if someone I don't like gets too close have some spells that can help give me some room. Like... if I need to protect someone from a bad guy I can trap them in an unbreakable bubble for a couple of minutes. I can also swap the position of any two objects, including people, so long as I have good view of them. Its a pretty fun spell that I can demonstrate in the training room... maybe even on you." said Lottie in teasing manner before stuffing her mouth with chuck of sausage.
