"It won't be any trouble at all, dear. Although I know it'll be difficult to rest when you're in a new environment for the first time, I hope you will be comfortable." Picking up her cup and saucer, Sarah stood up. "As for me, I'll have to finish something. Belladonna, take care of our guest. Luna, if you need anything, don't hesitate to ask Belladonna. I'll be off now." With a parting nod, Sarah walked to the side door that Belladonna used before.

Belladonna looked back to Luna once Sarah was gone, smiling. "This is the first time I have had someone over for the night." She seemed happy and excited about it. "When you are done with your tea, I will show you your room."

She took her last sip of tea before putting the cup down on the table and responding.

"I know I'm probably overdoing it but uh, thank you for this. All I did was protect you and escort you home and you're treating me with tea and a night over because of your concern. I haven't met people as kind as you both in so long, I almost forgot that kindness was....a trait?"

She couldn't really find the right word there. To be honest, Luna has met plenty of people that were kind to her. The people that she knew and cared about from where she came from before she got to Manta Carlos for example. Besides the acquaintances that she knew of back then, those people, family even, were the most kind people she had ever met. Maybe the death of her loved ones has made it....hard to see the kindness she's been given.

"S-so uh...uhm..." She was having a hard time figuring out what to say.

"H-how did you decide to come here? To Manta Carlos?"

Luna reeeeally hoped that in her nervousness, she didn't just ask a question that was answered already in some way.

"Mama always said to be nice to people if they were nice to me. And you did more than that. You saved me from people who I didn't know were bad. They looked nice, but I may have misunderstood them." It was a learning experience for her. "I still have much to learn, and you felt like someone who could be a positive influence."

Her programmed 'instincts' could at least tell that much about a person through their actions. The problem before was that she had nothing to compare the four teens' actions, and so her curiosity pulled her towards them to see the outcomes. With Luna's well-meaning interference, and with the presence of the policeman who seemed to be on her side, Belladonna had ranked Luna as someone trustworthy.

"I woke up here. From the first day of my consciousness, mama had been there to teach me things. She and someone who isn't here right now. She has taken good care of me, but, until recently, didn't let me out by myself for my safety. I wasn't ready yet, but because mama was still recovering from a car accident, and needed to give something to someone urgently, she told me to go. But... I remember something from before I first awoke... but it was not my memory." Belladonna seemed to drift off a little. "What about you? Did you come to this island?"

Luna nodded in agreement with Bella's words, agreeing with what she said about the misunderstanding of those four thugs.

"I'm glad I got you out of that."

As Luna listened to Bella talk about her brief history, she began to understand. As Bella used words like 'consciousness', 'first awoke' and 'not my memory.' Come to think of it, Bella has been using different words than people normally would, and also being oblivious and off, so she had a suspicion that Bella was an android. But she didn't want to question her about it. Luna didn't give a single crap about who Bella was anyway. She was a friend, a person. Like a person's real self matters right?
Suddenly Bella changed the subject to asking Luna if she came to the island. She wanted to ask questions about the memory Bella mentioned or maybe about Sarah, but she didn't want to press it.

"Yeah I uh, 'came here'. It wasn't really my choice though. Someone-no, some people uh, 'insisted' that I come here. I can't go back..."

Luna looked down at her hands on her lap, remembering how her adopted 'parents' had basically 'kicked her out' because of their own cowardice. She wasn't really sad about it, but kind of angry. Angry that she was betrayed.
She decided to change the subject real quick.

"From what I hear of you, nothing much has happened from when you awoke to right now? Like, not much time has passed I mean? Correct me if I'm wrong."

It sounded almost as if Luna was forced here, if her shift of tone in certain parts of her speech was an indicator of anything. And why couldn't she go back? Exile? Banishment? Though she didn't get to ask her about it before the subject was changed back to Belladonna's court.

"A few months have passed. but until two weeks ago, I was immobile. I was lacking. Until I was made whole. However, there were long periods of sleep, and when I woke up, I always had something new."

Luna was actually really interested in Bella's history now. Sure the being immobile part didn't seem like was very pleasant. But seeing or having something new every time Bella woke seemed like it would be enjoyable.
Or maybe she was trying to hard to put herself in a possible android's (aka Bella's) shoes...

"A few months! Not too long before I came here. Was having something new something to look forward to every time you had to sleep..?"

Though Luna was trying to put herself in Bella's position, she was genuinely curious. She's never talked to someone like her before, and she wanted to know more about her so maybe she could relate to it in some way. Was the new thing that Bella got every time she woke something like a present?

Belladonna nodded. "It meant that I got closer and closer to become what my mother envisioned. Every time I felt more and more capable in handling simple tasks. It took me a few attempts to mirror what I was shown."

Looking directly at Luna, having a realization that this might be strange for someone to hear, she momentarily switched the discussion. "Does this sound strange? Because this is not what people usually discuss, is it?"

Luna shook her head.

"Nah, it doesn't seem weird at all. I've met people like you before, which makes me realize that maybe you are a specific kind of person. But I don't want to make assumptions. That wouldn't be fair or nice."


She was really glad that Bella had trusted her with her past like this. Brief though it was, Luna was glad she was there to listen. It made her ask herself if maybe...just maybe, she can trust Bella with her own past. Her own reasons for being here.

Luna yawned briefly and stretched. She was actually getting pretty tired. Though the tea helped a little bit, maybe it tired her out more with the calming side of it.....But she checked her phone's time just in case and realized that yeah, it was definitely late. 3 AM is late right?

"People like me?" she muttered. People. She was considered as one of that group? Then if so, she was accomplishing her objective, just as her creator wanted. And that made her happy because that meant she would... belong. Strange as that notion might be.

However, Luna did say that she was a specific kind of person? "What kind of person am I?" she inquired quite curiously. Her mother would and has described her as a blank slate, naive, gullible, intelligent, and brimming with potential to name a few descriptors she had caught while in the lab.

Seeing that her guest was getting sleepy, she asked, "Shall I take you to your room?"

Luna smiled for a moment before she spoke.

"The kind of person that is a bit gullible and naive at times, but is also really smart. You are kind and you realize how a person feels, even if it might take a bit to understand. But you understand quickly! Something that is sometimes hard to find in a person. The ability to quickly understand I mean. They are all good qualities Bella, and I'm glad you're here to listen."

She yawned again and nodded to Bella's question.

"Yeah...that'd be great. So much stuff has happened tonight that I nearly forgot how late it was." She giggled a little.

"Where'd you say it was?"
