Dyani giggled at his joke about angels. She considered asking him exactly what he was, if he was an angel, but she stayed silent for now. Anything to be this comfortable for longer. Forgetting that she was even in her true form, she smiled unabashed and looked back at Soren. Then the fact that she was undisguised hit her, and a crease of concern appeared in between her emerald eyes.

"So... so you don't think I look like a monster?" Dyani asked, automatically reaching up to touch an antler and looking at Soren. She couldn't believe that he liked this form, the one she truly was. Sure, her disguise. It was designed to be charming and endearing for her own protection. But her real form, the one that she hunted her prey in and that was a reflection of her own soul in its private nature? This she was having a problem believing. Surely not Dyani the Wendigo, the monster with no friends or connections of any kind. Soren was so handsome and kind, surely he couldn't be attracted to a Wendigo.

He smiled and placed a hand gently on her cheek, his eyes never leaving hers, "you are beautiful, and..even though we just met...I can tell that your an amazing person." He continued to look into her eyes, letting his words sink. He had meant it, all he saw was a beautiful girl.

"You have nothing to hide," he placed his other hand on her cheek and continued to look into her eyes, "your not a monster...your not a freak...you are Dyani...who's a beautiful, kind girl."

He reached out and hugged her again, bringing his wings around her, "I've never seen a more beautiful girl." He said all this without taking his eyes off of hers, Soren had a kind heart, he'd never leave someone alone, but he wasnt saying all this just to comfort her, heart it all.

A thought came into his mind, a unexpected one that made him blush, but he smiled, "Dyani would you go out with me?"

There were no words, there couldn't be words to describe how she was feeling. She had never known words that could accurately describe this. If she had, it was too many years ago to remember. Dyani's eyes were closed as if in prayer, her face burning with embarrassment and joy. Somehow, through a miracle that was given to her via the grace of some divinity, she had found something like family. Something like home. There was a void filling in the small Wendigo that had been hurting for so long she had forgotten about it entirely. Now the pain returned as it was made whole again. The feeling like one had been a puzzle piece for their entire life, and was suddenly and perfectly fit into a large puzzle that they didn't even know existed.

The face of the Wendigo broke into a large smile and she realized she was dangerously close to crying. How odd. She hadn't cried in... since her brothers. "Yes" she replied, leaning her head in his hands and smiling more openly than she had in eternity.

He smiled, happy, truly happy, the first time he'd felt that in a long time. He leaned his forehead on hers and chuckled, "a lot of people will tell us were moving to fast...but I think we're good for each other. And a idiot like me is lucky to have found you."

He hugged her close, happy they had found each other. He had never been super close with anyone besides his parents, and things there fell apart after his dad died. But if felt like he'd found someone.

He leaned up and gently kissed her cheek, he blushed at the action, "sorry..I just got caught up in the moment." He kept blushing at what he did, "so..do you go to school? If you do I'll see you there, we can have lunch together."

"I've never felt this way about anyone, ever. I'm lucky you feel the same connection that I do to you..." Dyani replied, feeling rather like she didn't even want to move from her position in Soren's arms. Her arms were entwined around his neck, her eyes still riveted to his face like she was concerned that if she looked away he would be gone.

If her face was a burning glowing ember before, the feeling that Soren's kiss left on her cheek was making it crimson. However, her smile just brightened and she shook her head lightly as if to say she didn't mind in the slightest. "I do. I will find you during lunch" she replied, nodding and thinking. Maybe she would spend more time in school than she had planned.

He smiled brightly, he had found a girlfriend. Like he had said a lot of people will find it strange that they started dating so soon, but he didn't care. "I don't particularly care for school......but being with you will make it great."

He just stood there, his arms and wings wrapped around her, enjoying just being with her. He hadn't enjoyed life in a while, but he was enjoying it more now than he ever had.

He looked into her eyes again and blushed, he had never had a girlfriend before, yet here was holding a beautiful girl who should be way out of his league. Then did a second thing he wasn't expecting, he didn't even think about it, he just did it. He leaned forward and kissed her on the lips.
