Open Pool Party 2020!

Yvarn heard of such pool-side party from fellow students in the hallways, and surely longed to be in one for a while. So, seizing the opportunity, he has come to the party in green and black casual summer clothes, which featured a Cactuar on the front and its iconic "°o°" face on the back. At first, he focused on getting a couple drinks, but he sure had his eyes on the pool.

Jao and Myst entered the party hand-in-hand, the former wearing a loose white business shirt with a strapless bra underneath (that supported absolutely nothing) and a tight black skirt, the latter wearing a pink halter-top ending just beneath where his rib cage would be and blue skinny jeans. They kept close to each other. It was rare to see one let go of the other's hand, and when it happened, they quickly intertwined their fingers again.

They held no interest in the pool nor the food, seeing as how neither could properly enjoy those commodities, yet they became drawn to the drinks anyway. It was about putting on a show of normality. What Myst wanted was something to take his mind off of his troubles (which involved a lot of conversation). What Jao wanted was to be near Myst (which, coincidentally, also kept her mind off of her troubles).

A familiar face was spotted in the nearby crowd of people. Myst moved over to the woman getting a drink and offered a relaxed smile. The temptation to flirt was there, but he didn't need the conversation starting with "You're flirting in front of your (apparently uninterested and bored) girlfriend?" Accepting of polyamory or not, it wasn't the best look without proper build up.

"Hey! Enjoying the party so far?"

Jao interrupted Myst before he could go any further. "You probably don't remember us, but we spoke in the community center before. We were much smaller and shaped more like a mammal. You squinted at us when Myst explained how our relationship works." Interest filled her voice by the end. She didn't have the chance to ask Elessa about it before, and now she had the perfect opportunity. In addition to that, her head moved subtly, observing the area around Elessa.

Jao winced at Elessa's words, taking it as criticism of her social etiquette. She wished she could shrug off that comment as easily as Myst. She instead focused on Elessa's nod to where Essa apparently was. Jao raised a hand and waved, hoping she got the placement right. Usually she was. More so when it came to situations as unpredictable as an invisible person. Myst followed the gesture before responding.

"Good to see you remember us! We also recently got here. Been here for..."

"Fifteen minutes."

"Fifteen minutes. By the way, we can't, ah, see Essa. Or hear her. So we'll need some direction there."

That got a small smile out of Jao and a large one from Myst. "You can never go wrong with a halter top or a short skirt!" His hands slid from the top to his chest down to the end of his shirt before wrapping an arm around Jao's waist. "Both of which you're looking good in. I'd ask what Essa's wearing, but I think Jao would punch me for it."

Her smile faded a little, making it almost non-existent. "And it would be very inappropriate, don't you think?" she asked Elessa. Her face was unfit for expressions, so she put as much I'm loathing this and Please don't encourage him into her words as possible.
