Puu felt quite comfortable living in the woods of the island. The plants had seemed content when Puu came but now the area she lived in thrived. Puu liked to take care of the place that housed her.
Puu was sitting on a tree branch, rearranging the leaves on the tree. They weren't getting the sun in quite the right angle. But after Puu finished the leaves felt content and so did she. Nothing was more important for her than the comfort of plants. Puu slid down along the trunk and landed softly. She grabbed her back bag and moved to the next tree.
It had been almost a year since Puu had come to the island but it didn't show in her grades. Puu had learned how to read but writing was really hard. She was good at biology because she loved nature, life and plants but other sciences, not so much. Puu didn't understand why it was important to learn all these things when she was going to go back to the forest anyway, at some point. To solitude, to loneliness. Puu felt a bit depressed every time she thought of the future. Or now. Or the past.
Puu shook her head and climbed the next tree. She perched herself on a branch but froze when she heard, smelled and saw someone coming. Puu watched as a male who looked like human walked towards the tree Puu was is. Normally she would've been anxious, maybe even annoyed a bit that someone came so near to her home but for some reason Puu's mind felt...calm.
