"What reading level are you?" Eroshay asked, her interest piqued. She liked reading and felt every child deserved to know how. "Reading is amazing. It brings you to this whole new world. When you read, you can be anyone."

"Uh huh! I agree totally miss shay! But, I just need to ask, what's a reading level? Like, a level in a building?! You know a building with more then one floor and stuff!"

Shay just...blinked. What was a reading level? That was telling. "Like, you have a fourth-grade reading level or a sixth-grade reading level. For instance, mine is an eleventh-grade reading level."

"Oh! I don't know! Is someone supposed to tell me? Or is there some kind of test? Can you tell me you're smart and stuff!"

Shay felt like a teacher suddenly. Ugh. She was an introvert; they only had so much energy. She recalled having read a funny little comic about that once. "You usually learn it at school. The school libraries sometimes have this little notes in their books or on their shelves indicating which reading level you have." She paused to give herself a break from talking. Too much talking. When she continued, she began walking, ushering him along. "What was the last book you were able to read on your own?"

He followed and looked up at the sky as he walked for a solid couple of minutes, he couldn't quite remember, or there simply isn't one but he didn't want to sound any dumber then he already was "Oh you know, just a simple story book."

"Like a children's tale," Shay wondered but figured he either didn't want to tell her to didn't remember so she would drop it there.

When they reached the library, Shay held the door open for him, slipping in afterward and fanning her arms out. "What do you wanna read?"

Shay rubbed the back of her neck. He definitely wouldn't think her choice of reading was fun. So, she motioned him to sit at one of the tables with a sigh and went off in search of something she thought he might like.

When she returned she was carrying a large, leather-bound book. She sat across from him, gently laying the tome on the table and opening to a random page.
