"nu uh! They hurt a whole bunch! Like, a lot!" Tia got up like they did and watched what they did standing next to their new friend.
Eroshay jumped a little at his closeness. Yeah, it worried her. Why was he so close? She stepped to the side, then tossed her right like one might when skipping stones. She cleared her throat, scanning the ground with her eyes for another rock.
"I'm just not afraid of shots," she answered in disinterest. There was no point in fighting about whether shots really hurt or not, such matters were subjective.
"Where do you live, anyway?"
"Me? Well, lets see right now I guess I live here! I'm not sure where yet, i'm kind of new. But I know it's here! Before that I lived in a bunch of different places with a bunch of different people!" He smiled at them, then he sat on the ground looking up them as he played with his bunny "Why do you ask?!"
"Are you an orphan?" Eroshay finally asked. The question was driving her mad. Why else wouldn't he want to talk about his parents? She didn't wish to talk about hers, either, so she understood, but that still begged as to whether he had them or not.
"I'm just making conversation."
"well, um no." He bit his finger nail "well, yes. wait, no! yes? ummmm" he looked at them in confusion "Define orphan! because i sorta am, and well, sorta not!" He felt silly asking what an orphan was but he was at a cross roads.
"A child without biological or adoptive parents," Eroshay said, deadpanned. "It might be easier just for you to tell me what your living situation is."
"Well, right now i don't have a mommy or daddy, well I do! But they left, right now i'm looking for them, and the mommy and daddy before that, well, they're the ones I don't like to talk about! The nice workers here said they'd put me with someone, not sure who yet! I hope they're nice!"
