Ren moved over to beside Pop, and leaned into a side hug. They both grinned identical grins, gold eyes lighting up in the same way. The two looked amazingly similar, and it was obvious that Ren wasn't adopted.

Pop laughed. "I feel like a tourist." he remarked cheerfully. He would know, since many tourists had stopped before his ranch to take a picture of the old fashioned bits of it all, standing before the camera with grins. Except, Ren and Pop's grins were more real.

Ren laughed too. "Amen to that one."

"Hush," was chiding response from behind the camera, though she was grinning. Once their mouths stopped moving, Pix stopped adjusting the focus on her camera and quickly pressed down. This time she gently lowered and turned the camera, until the older model of equipment was resting against her smile. As she focused her dark gaze on the two before her, her teeth were shown in the cheeriest smile Pix contained, one that was so obviously false.

"If you blokes will direct your attention to the left you'll see our gift shop where we'd like for you to spend as much money as possible. We hope you had a nice time, and will come back, to Reunion Lake," all was spoken in a voice as mock cheery as her smile. Both were stopped and a genuine smile lifted the corners of her lips soon after.

Ren was totally in the moment, and did a fake gape in the direction she indicated. "Well golly, Pop, ah reckon we should 'bout mosey on over thur and spend our money on all th' stuff that lady said we should." he drawled, pushing all of his being into making his Texas twang as thick as possible.

Pop nodded vigurously, pretending to smack his gums. "That we should sonny. We've 'bout run out of that stuff. We only went 'bout these places last week. We need more." he spoked in a high pitched, weedling tone, much like an old grandfather, and very far from his usual rich baritone.

Ren and Pop laughed together, and Ren grinned at Pix. "I'm glad you're back." he said honestly. Soul bare in his eyes. She was like the sister he'd never had. He gave her a side squeeze, the kind of gentle hug that didn't invade her space, but said that he was glad she was back.

Pop nodded again. "Most definately, darlin. We were hopeless farts without you." he spoke again in his rich baritone, a fond smile on his face as he watched the two young people he basically raised.

Pix laughed, the rare sound was like the chiming of bells, but as soft as the happy gurgle of a bubbling brook. She stopped when they ended their small scene, momentarily resting her head on Ren's shoulder as she received his physical affection, glad that he knew not to smother her. While she did have a biological older brother, Ren was more like a brother than her own, and she loved and trusted the golden eyed boy more than her own blood. Smiling up at him, her own eyes which were usually shields to her emotions, were now showing them freely.

"That must've been very attractive to the flocking gals," she commented with a wry grin, subconsciously stopping herself from using bird, though it was still the clipped tone of a Brit that claimed her voice as opposed to the Southern drawl. She'd looked back to Pop after making the comment, dark brow quirked, grin in place, her eyes lowering the level of joy shown.

Ren let go of Pix after their hug, and when she asked her question, burt out laughing. Flocking gals were not a quantity for him. Or, in his mind at least, but then, he was rather clueless about these things. He didn't laugh for long, and stopped to listen to Pop's reply

Pop shook his head at his grandson, grinning thoughtfully. "Well, I have to say, being one of the only men still able to dance without a walker, I've got quite the quantity of younger females at my beck and call." he drawled in his easy going baritone. "And young Ren's got quiet the few girls obsessed with him back home." he watched Ren's reaction with a mischievious twinkle in his eye.

Ren looked at Pop with a raised eyebrow. Sure, he had lots of girls hanging out with him, but he figured it was just because they were his friends. "I'm not that attractive Pop.." he said, shaking his head.

This time it was Pop's turn to laugh. "Well let's see, so far.." he ticked off the names of the girls with his fingers, "Jolene, Rebecca, Lola, Ramona, Laney, Kara, Arielle, Mandy, Janet..Oh look, I'm out of fingers...Anyways. They all called and cried when they found out you left." he drawled easily, smiling as Ren looked rather uncomfortable.

Ren grinned sheepishly. "Oh." were his simple words and he shuffled his feet, blushing slightly.

It was Pix's turn to burst out laughing, though it was a rather short burst, since she still wasn't used to showing joy. Part of it was due to Pop's response, and the other was due to Ren's obliviousness of the fact that he was quite handsome. Even Pix had noticed, and she didn't often think of people as attractive or not.

"Well, it would seem that I'm surrounded by stud-muffins. I'm not going to be attacked for simply being in the vicinity of either of you am I?" identical to Pop's was the mischievous twinkle flirting in the depths of midnight blue eyes, Pix didn't have to be his blood to have similar facial expressions. Taking a step back, she made it appear as if she were ready to run should a flock of adoring Pop and Ren fans suddenly appear with malicious intent in their eyes.

Ren was still grinning sheepishly, but he quickly pushed it back. "Yes, well, far as I know, I've got no fans here. So you should be safe. Now Pop on the other hand, he walks into a room and he's got a billion fangirls. Watch out for the stampede." he grinned teasingly at Pop, and Pop took it in stride.

Pop chuckled. "You'll have to be the judge of how many fangirls Ren's got here. I'd immagine he's got a lot." he grinned at Ren, taking glee in making his grandson blush. "But you, Pix, you'll get so many admirers you won't know where to put 'em all." he added, turning the attention onto Pix as well so that Ren wasn't the only one who had to squirm.

"I'll keep a look out for the adoring females, I wouldn't want my learning environment to be in danger for fear of me being tackled," she said after Pop spoke for the first time, grinning up at Ren. It was when he spoke again that the grin faded and a quirked brow followed in its stead.

"That's utterly ridiculous Pop," she said with genuine confusion. Like Ren, she was quite oblivious to things of that sort, odd since she was usually quite observant. Pix looked from Pop to Ren, as if he could explain his grandfather's comment.

Ren shrugged when Pix looked at him. He immagined that she was feeling the way he was, but he had to speak the truth. "He's right you know, I'm gonna be beating guys off with a baseball bat." he spoke cheerfully, drawing out his words.

Pop nodded. "Of course I'm right. I raised two very good looking children." he took most of the credit for raising the two, and Ren gave it to him. He loved Pop more than his own parents.

"Highly unlikely, but I'll humor the both of you by saying, it must be a family theme," she said with a shrug, quirked brow in place. She too credited Pop with raising her, for even when her father was alive, he was often on flights, or busy dealing with his wife. And there was no way Pix would ever credit her mother with raising her in any way, or teaching her anything, except that it was nearly impossible to trust. Just thinking about the woman made Pix want to curl into a ball, scream her lungs out, pretty much anything unpleasant. As it was the raven haired girl was looking to the ground, eyes glazed over, a small frown shaping her lips. All of this was done subconsciously, as was her next movement, which was to reach up with a gloved hand to run a finger over the thick white scar that was along her hairline, shielded by her bangs.
