It had been a couple weeks of fairly steady research and pain. Theo's search for answers to his eye problem came to a head upon realizing the answer had been there the whole time. Fusing oneself to an eldritch being to gain power was even more risky than contracting one as a familiar. His parents truthfully lucked out with Simon. The eldritch being wasn't exactly gentle, but he was gentle enough, as well as very loyal. He'd been with him through every moment in his life. Naturally the thought of going through with this plan to regain his vision scared him. He heard the sounds of reassurance from Simon as well as the nasty taunts from Alvin who was messing with his eyes more than usual, in a last ditch effort to prevent this thing from happening.
Theo was sitting on the edge of a large ritual circle in the center of his game room floor. Simon was located directly across from him on the other end. The ritual would involve partially dissolving and rebuilding the bonds he had with the two eldritch beings by fusing their bodies with his. Theo and Simon began chanting with great focus as the circle activated itself. No one was going to give him pitying looks that he couldn't see anymore. He wasn't going to hear the butlers and maids whispering their concerns like he couldn't still hear them. Theo couldn't see anything that was happening, he could only focus on the chanting. He could feel an odd sensation through the core of his being. Like something constricting and melting into him. The noise in his head seemed to be shifting around as well. Theo had already theorized that the eldritch beings wouldn't actually merge with his consciousness, instead they'd form satellite consciousnesses within his mind. These thoughts swirled in his head until he finally blacked out after running out of chanting to recite.
He wasn't sure how much time had passed since he blacked out, but he could hear two separate voices telling him to get up. He did so, slowly and steadily, waiting until he was on his feet to finally open his eyes. He winced briefly, but his eyes seemed to adapt to the light quicker than he would have expected them to. Something was new with his vision as well, he was seeing things he normally would, however it felt more detailed. He could hear a pair of voices buzzing in his head speaking with him. One was Simon who simply noted that things seemed to have gone off without any issue. The other voice was Alvin, who seemed to be bitterly accepting his fate. He went into the bathroom to check himself more thoroughly in the mirror. His face was a mess from the black ichor that had been leaking from his eyes over the weeks. Was this what people were seeing when they looked at him? It was so bad. His hair had also grown a bit, it was still well kept thanks to Simon being there. Actually, it looked like he had grown a bit himself and his muscles were much more defined. Then there was the case of his right eye. His left eye was blue and normal looking, the right eye was black where it should have been white and his pupil was a lightly glowing red. He washed his face off with soap and water, then proceeded to measure his height. He was a solid 5'9". Was his because of the ritual or had he actually grown that much in such a short time? That led to more questions. What else had changed? He honestly felt normal, aside from the new sensations.
Theo tossed on a black shirt, black pants, and a red tie just to add some more color. He fixed up his hair, grab his personal effects, and proceeded to head down and out of the manor, saying nothing to anyone as he left. The Riddle Effect had put his brother in a rather nasty spot and he wanted to see it with his eyes. Before he left the grounds, he stopped at the garage. There was something he wanted to test. Something he'd noticed in the bathroom was Simon passively holding him back, somehow. It was hard to explain with words. But it was like he was...stronger perhaps? He moved to the back of one of the cars, put two hands under the bumper, and to his surprise, he was able to lift it up with relative ease. His physical ability had gone up a good bit. Theo then proceeded to set the car down gently and sprint off the property, jumping the gate as he did so.
It didn't even feel like a very long time before he was at Kylar's apartment. This new awareness seemed to notice gaps in patterns, allowing for him to find slightly more efficient routes to take. He simply went up to Kylar's apartment door and knocked. There was no warning that he was coming this time. This visit was meant to be a surprise.
