Hmm. Well, this wouldn't do at all. Carmin had decided for whatever reason that he had to play hero over a pack of gum, which almost automatically dropped her temporarily boosted willingness to cooperate with him straight back down to where it had been before. He didn't seem bothered by her threat, either, which both surprised and annoyed her, since that took away one of the easiest options to get him off of her back.

Hissing under her breath, the dragon leaned in closer to the plant kid and prodded him roughly in the chest with her finger. "You know what, no. Fuck you, okay? Nobody tells me what to do, least of all a piddly excuse for a salad like yourself. This is mine, and I got it fair and square. A hunter never just throws their prey back into the wild, got it?" She squinted for a moment, trying to gauge whether that analogy actually made any sense when talking about gum, then shook her head and jabbed him again more roughly.

Now, she spoke in a normal tone again, allowing the rest of the class around them to hear and hopefully managing to get a few looks over so Carmin would feel pressured. "Besides, we're getting behind on our work, and we can't have that. C'mon. We gotta run the dough through the machine thing. I'll even let you turn the crank if you stop being such a little b-...if you stop being so grumpy for no reason." Smiling just a sweetly as could be, she pocketed the pack of gum and shot her diminutive partner one last threatening glare, before taking the dough they had rolled out and getting ready to run it through the machine with him.

Carmin seemed to shrink back as he was prodded at. All of the horrible things Ferret said were getting to him more than they should have. He stared down at one of his piddly salad hands while Ferret went on about some nonsense hunting analogy. He looked up again, appearing pretty hurt, only to get jabbed once more.

His face was a mix of rage, sorrow and disgust, watching spitefully as Ferret tried to sell the event as if he was the problem to the rest of the class. As terrible as it was, he figured it would probably look bad if he tried to yell something back at her. It wasn't easy to suppress what he felt right then, but perhaps thanks to letting a lot out earlier, he at least partially succeeded. He took a deep breath in and out, then followed along, still looking quite annoyed. When they got to the machine, Carmin would speak under his breath just quietly enough that only Ferret would be able to hear him. "Scumbag..."

If he wasn't sure what he thought about Ferret before, he sure did now. He loathed her. There was no excuse for being such an awful person as far as Carmin saw it.

Ferret had been sure that after that Carmin would have one hundred percent backed down. She had surely intimidated him enough that he wouldn't say anything else to challenge her, right? Once again however, the plant kid proved that he was dead set on pissing her off, and that's exactly what happened.

A few quiet moments passed as Carmin's muttered insult registered in her ears. At first, she showed little reaction, not even looking back at him, but her apparent lack of care was swiftly dispelled with her hands tightly squeezing the pristinely rolled out dough, shiny claws puncturing through it.

So far it had been doable for her to keep her emotions in check, but being talked down to by someone she saw as so inferior was something her pride couldn't handle. Pivoting back around on her heel to face him once more, a low growl rumbled up from her throat, fangs bared and pupils contricted as far as they would go. "...Alright. I am going to fuck you up." Her tone was more purposeful than before when she had obviously just been throwing out vague threats, and her body language explicitly showed just how furious she was.

As he noticed the tighter grip on the dough, Carmin warned her. “H-hey, be careful-“ But it wasn’t much use. Her claw punctured it and caused Carmin to flinch as it happened. He made no comment at this, realizing that the dough was probably the least of his worries.

He was suddenly feeling far more terrified than angry. Stumbling back as he was threatened, only to mess up his footing and fall backwards on to the floor with a quiet thud. He couldn’t think of anything to say to get her to stop. He could’ve apologized maybe, but he couldn’t bring himself to do that. She certainly didn’t deserve any apology. So he just stared back at her with a look of fear while he was lying on the ground propping himself upwards with one arm. He wasn’t fast or strong, he knew that much, so there wasn’t really any use running or fighting back.

It all devolved in seemingly seconds. Celeste was helping one group churn their pasta through the maker while keeping an eye on Carmin and Ferret - just in case. When she noticed Carmin suddenly on the floor in what looked like a defensive position.

"Ferret!" Celeste called out angrily, not quite sure what was going on at their station, but pretty damn sure the dragon had something to do with it. Celeste had had an uneasy feeling that something might happen despite the appearance of the calmer waters earlier, and as she advanced, within seconds, to the work station in question, it looked as if her fears had been confirmed.

"What is going on here?" she demanded, glancing with clear disapproval at everything from the punctured dough to Ferret, and Carmin, who was still on the floor.

Ferret had never really been expected to keep her emotions in check for anyone else's sake before coming to the island. Considering her background she was actually adapting relatively quickly, but past a certain point acting civilized was extremely difficult. She barely registered at all that Celeste had called out, still just staring the plant kid down and growling, even after the teacher approached.

Carmin was just...so pathetic in her eyes. Defenseless, pitiful. Vulnerable. In the moment, it was all she could do to push her instinctual predatory urges back, as difficult as that was. Her mind was lit up all over, screaming at her that he was prey, even if he wasn't something she would actually eat.

Finally, she managed to settle herself enough to tear her eyes off of him, one last threatening snarl leaving her as she did. Looking up at Celeste with an expression of pure, furious defiance, Ferret took a step forward and started just trying to move past her towards the door. "I'm done, I don't need this. Fuck all of you."

"Oh no, you don't. The class is not over and you are not going anywhere," Celeste said furiously as she waved a hand, causing the classroom door to suddenly slam shut and lock itself before the young girl could leave. She was quite frankly fed up with Ferret's disrespectful behaviour.

"You will not leave this classroom til I say you can, Ferret," Celeste stated angrily as she proceeded to help Carmin up and off the floor.

"I do not know what your problem is with your classmate, but I will not have such blatantly disrespectful and disruptive behavior in my class. Now, apologize to Carmin," she demanded.

The look in Ferret’s eyes had caused Carmin to shut his and wince, ready for Ferret to turn him into an actual salad. Luckily, it seemed the teacher had noticed the event and was coming to intervene. He Looked up and flinched again as Ferret snarled, before letting his body relax as he realized it was over.

He was unsure of what to expect next, having never seen a teacher get as angry with a student as Celeste seemed to have gotten. Though he’d never seen another student act so unpleasantly before either.

He accepted Celeste’s help getting up, then positioned himself so that his teacher was in between himself and Ferret.

Ferret twitched a little when the door slammed shut, her hands balling into fists tight enough to make her claws puncture slightly into her palms. Where did this human get off in trying to tell her what she could and couldn't do? Pivoting on her heel, she turned back around and glared daggers up at Celeste, her expression twisted into a feral snarl.

"Ever since I got dragged here all anybody has done is try and control me, and I'm fucking sick of it. I'm sick of not being able to go where I want and do what I want, and I'm sick of not being alone anymore." A few small droplets of blood dripped down to the floor from her balled fists, but she barely seemed to register it.

"Let me out. Let me the fuck out of here!" By now, it was blatantly clear just how little grip she had on her emotions, a confusing swirl of anger and defiance and even fear rising up in her, chest tightening and pulse quickening. Then, in an instant, it was like an emotional dam broke in her, her lower lip wobbling just slightly, brow furrowed. "...I just wanna go home." Her voice was far weaker than before, wavering, and above all else she simply sounded lost.

Celeste just stared at Ferret, half in shock and half in speechless anger as the young woman dared to snarl at Celeste like some wild animal while swearing loudly and angrily demanding to be let out of the classroom.

It was now, at this point, that the young dragon had actually exhausted the limits of Celeste's patience by defying her authority, throwing her goodwill back at her and most of all, by disrupting the class because she did not like being told what to do and bullying her classmate.

"I am sorry you are having trouble adapting to Starlight, Ferret," Celeste said in an even and very calm and restrained voice, almost too calm and restrained - something her own children would notice as a sign that she was beyond being just simply angry.

"But I am afraid that you have not only willfully disrupted most of the class, but have also been disrespectful and threatening to those around you. That type of behaviour is intolerable at Starlight." she explained coolly as she watched the blood drip from Ferret's hands.

"I am going to call down to the office and they will send someone to escort you to see the nurse. I will also be talking to your school counsellour and guardian," Celeste said as she picked up the phone and called down to the school office and security.
