Celeste eyed with concern Carmin's and Ferret's group and could tell almost instinctively that something was up by their body languages. She then glanced around the classroom again and noticed that each group had what looked like a ball of dough in front of them. Each group except Carmin and Ferret.

"Carmin, Ferret," she called out. "Do you need some help?"

So much for not bothering the teacher. Ferret was much more vocal about their current situation than Carmin had been. Though he wasn't really upset about this. They were behind and needed help and if it wasn't for Ferret's obnoxious attitude, he wouldn't have gotten it.

It was annoying that Ferret had eaten another raw egg, but even with that, Carmin could tell she was at least putting a little effort in. He wasn't fond of giving thanks to his enemies, but he assumed that giving her praise for trying might encourage her to do so more in the future. Thus, Carmin begrudgingly did just that. "well, thanks." He practically choked on the word getting it out, but managed to say it nonetheless.

When Mrs. Forestier asked if they needed help, Carmin glanced to the side then looked back and nodded, accepting that they were going to go downhill fast if they didn't get help now. "Yeah."

"Alright," Celeste stated, clearly understanding that Carmin and Ferret were in a bit of a bind. "Just give me a moment, please," she said as she went to one of the larger fridges in the classroom and pulled out a glass bowl that was sealed with a lid. Inside the bowl appeared to be a ball of dough.

"Carmin, Ferret," she began as she placed the bowl on the counter at their station. "This bowl contains dough I made earlier. You two can use it," she explained as she pried off the lid. "However, I would like you both to stay after class and demonstrate to me that you can make your own dough," she said as she looked calmly at each student.

"Any objections?" she asked them pointedly, wanting to know if both of them understood that she was willing to help them out, but that they'd also have to make an effort on their part to show her that they were willing to learn.

Ferret pinched the bridge of her nose and groaned a little, the general state of how the class was going frustrating her pretty obviously. It shouldn't have been too hard for Carmin to just joke back and forth with her, and it still irritated her that he hadn't, but...maybe he wasn't used to people either. Who could say? It was at least possible that he was still getting used to everything like she was, so that managed to lessen her annoyance a bit.

The dragon shrugged stiffly at the thanks from Carmin, making a point to not make eye contact. "...It's whatever. I just want to get this done, so...let's do that." Celeste's suggestion did catch her a little by surprise, however. She had been sure that the teacher was still mad at her, and yet was turning around to try and help now? Her face plainly showed her bewilderment for a moment, before dusting off her hands on her skirt and huffing.

"Yeah, fine, I guess. I just want to make sure I have time to go hunt before I go home. I'm really hungry." Finally uncrossing her arms, Ferret tentatively poked at the dough ball with her finger, blinking a few times and raising her brows at the bizarre texture. "...So we're eating this?"

To say that Carmin had plans after class would be a blatant lie, he always just went back to his room and wallowed in boredom. That wasn't to say he wanted to stay there any longer than he had to though. Making pasta with Ferret was still worse than doing nothing. That being said, this whole thing was kinda his fault so it wasn't like he had any right to complain.

When asked if they had any objections, he gave a simple "No." Then eyed the dough ball. He felt compelled to give it a poke, but managed to hold off the urge. Unlike Ferret who went right ahead, not that he could blame her.

"What? No, of course not." Carmin looked very defensive for a short moment before letting up. "Well, at least not like this, we have to cook it or something first." To be honest he didn't really know how this ball was supposed to become pasta.

"That's good to hear," Celeste said flashing them a smile that was both welcoming and encouraging, glad that both of them seemed to be open to working with her and not against her. "It won't take long to do, maybe twenty minutes or so," she explained as she glanced from Carmin to Ferret.

"And don't worry, there will be plenty to eat later afterwards," she reassured Ferret.

Going back to the front of the classroom, Celeste started explaining how it was best to divide the ball into two or even three smaller pieces.

"Once you have your dough divided," she said. "You take a bit of flour, sprinkle it on the counter like this..." she said, demonstrating exactly how much they needed by flouring the counter in front of her with a tiny handful of flour.

"Then you take your rolling pin from the side drawer at your station," here Celeste showed the class where they could find theirs. "And you roll the dough out until just a little so it's easier to put through the pasta maker," she explained as she placed a hand on the shiny stainless steel pasta maker beside her.

Ferret was kind of taken aback by Celeste smiling at the pair of them, actually a little bit suspicious and wary of the abrupt change. It took a bit of effort not to mention it, but she managed to distract herself enough by continuing to prod at the dough. This definitely didn't seem like food, but it wasn't the weirdest thing she'd encountered here either.

Watching her teacher head back to the front, she tore off a chunk of the dough and slapped it down on the table, passing the other roughly equal ball over to Carmin. "There. Do what you want with that." Squinting at the rolling pin in Celeste's hand, she then grabbed theirs and proceeded to just kind of slap the dough ball like one would with a hammer, causing some loud banging from the counter.

Twenty minutes wasn't really so bad, he supposed he could live with that.

With the next set of instructions seeming fairly straight forward, Carmin turned to their station again. He watched as Ferret went ahead and tore it into two chunks, at first considering stopping her so they could do it more carefully. But when she passed him the other chunk, it looked to be about the same size so he didn't really see a reason to complain. "Alright, I'll go find another roller and start rolling this one."

Carmin walked a short ways to a similar side drawer nearby and found another rolling pin. As he started walking back, he could see what looked like a game of whack a mole unfolding at their station. His eyes opened wide and he hurried back to their station.

"F-Ferret." His face was more concerned than anything. "Um, try rolling it. And maybe put some flour down first." He got some flour out with his hand and sprinkled it around on the table in front of him. "Like this." He then placed his half of the dough down and started rolling over it repeatedly with the rolling pin.

Hearing a rather strange banging noise, like somebody hitting a blunt object against a softer one, echoing throughout the room, Celeste instinctively knew, without even looking, where it was coming from. It could only be one person Celeste surmised as she looked to where Carim and Ferret were, and noticed how Ferret was beating the dough into submission with the rolling pin.

"Uh, is everything alright, Ferret?" Celeste inquired as she quickly glanced at Carmin who appeared to be trying to persuade Ferret to use the rolling pin correctly and not as a tool to take her frustration out with.

For her part, Ferret was actually having a great time now that she'd started up her own method of handling the dough. It was great stress relief at the very least. Of course however, Carmin had to correct her about how to do it, to which she responded with an annoyed little grunt. However, he did seem to actually want to be helpful, so she couldn't be too mad at him.

Glancing up to Celeste when she tried to get her attention, the dragon sighed and stopped beating the dough. "Yeah, yeah. Whatever, I got it." Squinting at the little flour layer the plant kid was working with, she went ahead and mimicked him, putting down her own flour and starting to roll it out properly, albeit still very aggressively. "...This isn't as fun, but I guess it does work better. So. Thanks or something."
