As Jacob held Lenn's hand in his own and listened to her thoughts of his family, the biggest smile grew across his face. While it may have been entirely possible that Lenn was just giving him the answer he wanted to hear, he just knew that she was telling the truth. The thought made his heart sing and he had to move in for a tight hug around Lenn.
The day had been a little bit awkward and a little bit tense, but by the end it seemed that everything was on track to a happy ending for all of them. His previous life accepting his new life, and the fact that they seemed to accept each other, was almost more than he could take.
"You don't know how much this day means to me, Lenn..."
He sounded a little choked up at first, but quickly regained his composure as he squeezed Lenn his arms.
"I just want all of you to be happy. The fact that everyone is getting along and there's no disagreements... It's great."
Finally he pulled away so he could look Lenn in the eyes while still holding her.
"And this isn't just my family. This is can be our family. You included."
Jacob was a man of the twenty first century. He knew that "traditional" families were no longer the total standard of families. Families could be mixed and work out just as well, so long as things were handled with care and love. And Care and Love seemed to be in no short supply with the four of them. Yumi and Chiru liked Lenn, acknowledged the age difference between her and Jacob but still seemed to accept her and make no huge deal of it. It was almost an ideal situation.
Overcome with excitement and affection, Jacob leaned in for a deep kiss on Lenn's lips. The whole day they had been avoiding anything too overt between them for the sake of Yumi and Chiru, but now...
After the kiss, Jacob had a bit of a mischievous look on his face.
"Y'know... Seeing my little girl again kinda makes me wanna try for another~
There was a joking, flirting tone to his voice. Of course he was not going to just drop the child question on Lenn like that. But the whole family day thing crossed with not being able to be intimate with Lenn all day, got his instincts going again.
