Somehow, some way, by some sheer luck Ashton had found himself going on his first date. How...the hell does this even happen? HOW the hell does someone like him even get a date in the first place!? This was so baffling to Ashton he was even struggling to comprehend this in all ways, shape and form.
With a sigh, he double checked himself in the mirror. His hair was clean for a change, he looked well rested (although still tired) and his clothing was new and just in general he looked really cute.
He used two hair clips to keep his bangs out of his face, but it was still in a position where he could hide any bruising he needed to. In fact, he wore mostly long sleeves and long pants. His shirts were baggy enough to where it wouldn't hurt him either. But still...he looked cute.
Ashton and Eloise had agreed to meet down at the strip mall. Ashton hadn't actually been to any downtown scenes and set ups for a long time, and the hustle and bustle was almost a little unnerving and scary to him. But really, he could handle it. He'd get over it, he could do this!
He leaned against the wall outside of one of the stores, sending Eloise a quick message that he was waiting and where. Having been told he could get a cellphone from City Hall for free, it really saved him. So here he stood, waiting. His messenger bag over one of his shoulders. He felt kind of stupid, sitting there alone, just waiting.
Maybe this was a bad idea, maybe he should just tell him he wasn't feeling well and go back home. Maybe he was being baited, people seemed to like to do that to him. But he'd give it another few minutes before deciding. He hoped he hadn't been baited. He liked Eloise. He was charming, funny, handsome, sweet, and terribly interesting because the fact he was a pirate. This guy had one hell of an interesting life from what he gathered. And even if nothing romantically came from it he would hopefully be able to be friends still. Ashton would like that, having someone he could relate to and be comfortable with as a friend.
