"Lyra.. Lyra.. Nope. Never met her." she shrugs and buries her pit in the sand with her toes. She looks around and picks up her iPod and the stereo. "I'm heading back. Wanna come?" she watches him through the fringes of her bangs.

Without waiting for an answer, she turns on her flip flop and walks lazily up a stony path towards a mansion-looking-academy-thing in the distance.

Rigel sighed, trying to squash the disappointment that flared in his chest. After all, she did say that she hasn't been here very long. Maybe someone else has seen her. He watched her walk away, debating on whether or not he should follow.

Go with her, Baltazar said. She's heading in the direction that Lyra's energy is coming from. Rigel nodded. He stood and buried the peach pit like Momo had done and stood up. He looked around for and spotted her quite a distance away. He unfolded his wings and took of into the air. He quickly caught up with Momo and dived down so that he was flying beside her.

Momo laughs quietly as she watches him take off. What a show off.. Better be nice. I don't want to end up like that poor seed.. she gulps and keeps walking.

"So are you a new student here, or..?" she asks him, keeping up her slow pace and watching him through the side of her eye nervously. She hated men, because they made her so paranoid. She had her reasons, though.

Rigel glanced at Momo. Sensing that she was nervous, he moved away a little to give her more room. "Student? I don't know, I might be," he said. "It all depends on if Lyra is here. I wouldn't mind being a student here though. The area is beautiful." He looked around himself. Looking forward he yelped and swerved sharply to the side to avoid hitting a tree. Once past, he looked back and glared at it before looking ahead again.

Momoko sighs. "Well, you might wanna sign up after you find whatsherface, cause you might be in trouble." She snickers as he almsot hits the tree. Serves him right, the male freak. she shakes her head.

"Anyways. You like it here? Seems a bit to perfect to me. Probably a freak lurking in every shadow." she chuckles. "But, wait, no freaks. Only misunderstood. Except for men. We all know exactly what they are." she winks at him.

As soon as he heard "freaks," Rigel's wings faltered for a second and his head dropped. When he looked back up, his blue eyes had turned gold and his face had turned serious. He landed in front of Momo and gazed down at her harshly. "These people are not freaks, they are people with gifts from God," he said. His voice was deeper than normal and had a slight echoing quality to it.

Rigel closed his eyes and shook his head sharply. When he opened them they were back to their normal blue. "Sorry about that," he said, rubbing the back of his head sheepishly. He continued walking as if nothing had happened, but inside he was seething. Why did you do that Baltazar? he asked quietly. His eyes narrowed slightly when he received no answer. "I do love it here. It's calm and peaceful, so much different from where I come from," he said to Momo. "Well, it was calm and peaceful there too, but it had a forced kind of feeling. And why would I want to sign up? What kinda trouble would I be in?"

Momoko shrinks and cringes, covering her head with her hands. She shrinks three feet. "S-Sorry." she mumbles, stepping away and looking fearfully up at the angel of god. She stumbles and stands back up quickly, shooting up a foot as he turns normal. She doesn't answer him and looks over at him fearfully, staying back several feet.

"I guess." she mumbles, almost completely inaudible. She walks faster, hoping he would just fly straight to the academy. He was now a very, very scary person. She couldn't forget those eyes.

Rigel sighed and spread his wings back out slowly. "I really am sorry Momo. I didn't mean to scare you." That said he beat his wings hard and flew into the air above the treetops. He continued rising until Momo was just a bit bigger than an ant on the ground, following her from the air.

As it became harder to see the ground through the trees, Rigel paused in midair and drew out one of the daggers. He drew it across the palm of his hand, making a shallow cut. Letting a few drops fall he called out. "I summon thee Lapis, spirit of the swallow." The blood glowed white for a second before it was obscured by a bright flash. As the light faded away, a small swallow was revealed, floating in the air with it's eyes closed. Opening them, it chirped and flew over to rest on Rigel's shoulder.

Hello Rigel, what do you want me to do for you today?, a soft voice like chimes sounded in his head. Rigel smiled and stroked the bird spirit softly on the chest. "Could you follow that girl down there for me? he asked, pointing out Momo through the trees. "I just need you to chirp every once in a while so I can follow you as well." The bird nodded and flitted down towards Momo.

Momoko coughs as the dust his wings kick up floats around for a bit. She sighs and keeps in the shade. It was getting hot and she didn't want to burn. She didn't even know why she was helping this guy.

She didn't even know why he was so touchy. Most people were glad to admit they were different and unusual in more ways than one.

Obviously not.

Lapis fluttered above Momo, chirping every now and then like Rigel had asked her to. The swallow spirit used the time that she was summoned to enjoy the sun and the cool breeze. She flitted about doing spins and flips, mentally thanking Rigel for choosing to summon her and not one of the other spirits. Rigel followed from above, using the chirps as a basis to pinpoint Momo's and Lapis's location.
