"Zoln dayne beyner zikh brekhn azoy oft vi di Aseres-Hadibres!" Helvechar's words, however, fell on ears deaf to his native language, garnering only a laugh from the larger boy walking away with the young man's lunch money. It was the third time this month the Jew had his money stolen by this individual, but it was the first time he has ever personally been called a "kike". As the thief rounded the corner, Helvechar only watched, slumping against some lockers like a sack of potatoes as the bell rang to dismiss students for lunch. Another blow below the belt to the teenager. Pretty soon, the cafeteria would be filled with other students, casually buying their midday meal... And he had to either starve, or eat something that more than likely wasn't kosher.

"Oy gevalt..." he cried, tipping his hat to hide the tears welling in his eyes. It would only draw attention from the growing crowd of students in the hallways, and then questions... He never did like being put out in the spotlight like that.

Amphios stretched his arms over his head and loitered outside the rest of the student thrush. Everyone was chatting in well-established groups as they made their way to the cafeteria, and he wasn't about to get in the way of their talking. He was certain he didn't have anything to say to the people he didn't know, and most of the people he did know had decided to go on ahead without him. As they often did. Amphy stopped worrying about it. Being overly clingy with friends only resulted in problems.

And significantly fewer friends.

He adjusted his backpack on his shoulders and followed the flow of the crowd. But he couldn't help but hear the sound of sniffling and crying.

For the briefest of moments he considered letting it go and walking on to get lunch.

But his moral compass wouldn't let him even consider that for more than a couple of seconds.

"Hey," He said, standing next to the boy who had just begun to cry. He reached into his backpack and pulled out a small packet of tissues. He offered them to Helvechar, hoping that wiping his tears would at least help him calm down. "Did something happen? You're alright right? Please tell me you're not hurt or anything. I could take you to the nurse if you're hurt."
