"Straga was pissed," Evan said with a laugh. "I didn't mind so much. Her power's kind of... unappealing for me, honestly. Her sister's is a lot nicer."

Having said that, personality wise, he preferred Cori. Tori was too... meek. But her with Straga though? Absolutely ridiculous. It was lucky he hadn't snapped her in half by sheer force of personality.

"Not since I was a kid," Evan said. "Not much interest, honestly. It seems a bit... uh, classic? Like something I should be doing with my hypothetical wife and our hypothetical two-point-five kids in the week before Christmas."

Before she took off the ice guards on her skates, Liliana couldn't help but giggle at his vision of what ice skating was or should be.

"I understand that completely. My family is from Wales originally, and people generally go ice skating at Christmas and usually with their families or friends." she stated as she thought about the Christmases where he family had actually returned to the Narrow Reality to spend time with her grandparents.

"So I take it you aren't married then with no two-point-five children?"

"Absolutely not," Evan said. "I have a... butler. And some friends. Beyond that, no wife. No two point five kids."

Definitely not two point five kids.

"Just doesn't seem like my sort of thing, but if they're enjoying it, so be it," Evan said with a wave of his hand. He turned slightly, watching the two as they zipped across the rink. "She seems to be really good at it though. Were you going to try?"

Liliana carefully stood up and slowly made her way to where he was standing, trying to find her balance on the blades. "Yes...They are very good," she admitted as she watched Genie zoom by after doing a short jump and Cori right behind her doing a twirl of sorts.

"If you can call what I am going to do as skating," Liliana said with a grin, "I am going to attempt to stay upright and not fall, and hopefully not make a fool of myself."

"Well, you're going to try falling down, anyway," Evan said with a small laugh. "Trying's what counts, so you get more credit than I deserve."

It was at that point that Cori decided to stop, skating right up to the edge and stopping with a flourish.

"So, who's the lady? Friend of yours?" She said, batting her eyelashes dramatically. "Didn't know you liked 'em so young, Evan."

Genie came to a sudden halt beside Cori, ice spraying up a little as she slid in sideways, hearing "your friend" and "like" and just assuming things since they had ,in her mind, been talking forever.

"Friends in like dating?" Genie asked eagerly, eyes wide with interest as she looked at Liliana first and then at the old guy (or in her mind, old) next to her.

"You aren't dating him, are you Lily?" Genie asked very curious now as she moved closer to the boards to inspect him, "He's like...so old," she stated innocently.

"Genie!" Liliana exclaimed, quite horrified at the girl's straightforwardness.

"What?!" she said, rather confused why Liliana was upset and so looked to Cori for confirmation.

Evan cracked up. He couldn't help himself. Liliana was what, like, maybe eighteen? Nineteen tops? She was nearly young enough to be his daughter.

"Definitely not," Evan said with a snort. "Even if Cori's going to imply things like that. I'd never date anyone as young as her."

"Well good," Cori said with a giggle. "Because that'd be creepy. You're too old for me."

"You're older than me!" Evan protested. Cori had never said how old she actually was, but considering the slowed aging that Regalia went through...

Definitely older.

"Yes, but you're older at heart. You were born a grouchy old man," Cori shot back.

At the interaction between Evan and Cori, Liliana just stared in bemusement, she had absolutely no interest in the man outside of holding a pleasant conversation. Glancing at Genie, she saw to her dismay that the younger girl had actually started giggling.

Shooting her regalia a quick warning glance, Liliana frowned slightly at Genie. "Stop that," she mouthed silently.

"But why?" Genie asked confused as she got off the ice and stood by Liliana. "They are funny to watch, and obviously, she likes him," Genie told Liliana as she looked back at Cori and Evan bickering amongst themselves.

Evan and Cori were definitely bickering, but at the mention of obviously she likes him, Cori's head swung around, a horrified look on her face.

"Him? No way. Absolutely not. I was robbed pacting with him, and if I knew what i did now, I wouldn't have done it at all. You got lucky ending up with her."

Cori nodded her head towards Liliana as she did.

Evan gave a mock-scandalized gasp.

"I can't believe it. Just ditching me like this?"

"But why, he seems really nice, Cori," Genie insisted as she peered at Evan, "I'd pact with him," she said very earnestly as she glanced up at Liliana and smiled happily. "I'd pact with both of you if I could," she stated with an assertive nod.
