Ouch

"I like you too. I'm glad I met someone as nice as you." she said, being truthful. She was glad to have a real friend here who actually cared if she was hurt.

She lay under the tent, as happy as could be. She wasn't wet, hurt or dead, so that was a definete plus of the day. She also had a friend. She looked at him and smiled happily, then she looked back up.

"What are you thinking?" she asked, noticing that he seemed quite pensive.

Thre were her parents, At her old house. She ran up to them and gave them each a hug and kissed them, but they could not see her. She tried again and again, but they didnot see her or feel it.

"Mom! Dad! Its Jess!" she called. They did not hear her. Under her breath, and through tears, she said goodbye, but she still sat on teh ground and watched them. She even forgot Legion was there. Suddenly she heard a deep rumbling in the ground. She looked up and saw them. The men. The men who all her life had haunted her nightmares and ruined her life. Her parents had disappeared into the house, and Jess followed them in knowing what was going to happen. She saw herself as a 3 year old. She saw her parents push her six year old self push her into a small room hidden below the floors then cover up the door with a carpet. Then, she saw the men kill her parents and search for her. They didnt see the door hande. THey left the house and set the house on fire. Jessica stood in her old house, surrounded by flames that she couldnt feel the heat from and cried.

SHe looked up at him, eyes streaked with tears. Then SHe pulled back the carpet without saying one word, and walked down into the celler. She found her three year old self sitting, curled up, in a corner. She kneeled besides her and stroked her cheek and hugged her. SHe knew that her younger self could not feel it, but something inside of her remembered having something comfort her when she was this age. She remembered, suddenly, feeling like someone was there fro her.

"DOn't worry." she said to her younger self. The three year old turned and looked up at Jesica, almost as if she had seen her, but she didnt. Jessica wiped away her tears and continued to hold her younger self.

She gave her former self one last hug, and this time the girl looked up. HEr eyes opened wide and she did see Jess. Jess relaized that.

"Don't worry. It'll get better." Jess said she she kissed the younger girel ont eh cheek got up, and walked out, to go to Legion.

"Okay, lets go." she said as she watched himj with eyes blazing with anger for the men who had ruined her life.
