Jessica walked absentmindedly down the pathway which went through the lawn. She looked up at the sky and looked around at everyone else, but didn't seem to look down. She walked along, wishing that she wasn't such a klutz. Just as her mind finished that thought, she walked into a tree. She slumped to the ground and sighed. Her eyes welled up with tears, but she ended up laughing.

"This always happens to me..." she laughed. She felt totally ridiculus to be sitting on the ground after she had walked into a tree.

Legion was walking along a pathway that cut through the lawn. Legion looked up at the blue sky. It was beautiful out. He saw a girl ahead of him walk into a tree. No one else was around, and Legion ran to the girl, and helped her up. "Are you ok, miss? You took quite a fall." He looked into her eyes. She was pretty. "I'm Legion."

She looked up at the boy. She smiled stupidly, then stood up, shakily. She nearly fell down again, but quickly regained her balance.

"I'm alright. A little dizzy, and very klumsy, but I am alright." she said, smiling. She looked at him for a few more moments before continueing. Before she spoke she thought I've met a lot of people heer, but none have been that polite. He seems sweet.

"Nice to meet you. I am Jessica, or just Jess." she said.

"Nice to meet you as well." He held her by the arm until she regained balance. Then he smiled. "So, are you ok? You don't need me to hold you still?" He looked at her concerned. "Jessica, if you want, I can hold you until you are steady. You look a little pale. Are you feeling alright?"

Her pale cheeks reddened quickly. No one had actually cared if she was hurt before. it was a first for someone to ask. She looked at him again, then began to speak.

"I'm alright, I think. I've done much worse, trust me. I was mugged when I was 14. Not so fun. But, I'm alright now." she said, smiling still although she was talking about something very scary and sad.

"Sooo.... How long have you been at the academy?" she asked, eager to change the subject.

Legion's eyes became filled with concern. "That doesn't sound like very much fun." He hugged her lightly. "I've only been here a while. A few days. And what about you, Jessica. How long have you been here at the academy?"

She tightened up when he hugged her. She was definately not used to having people be near her. SHe had been solitary for so long when she was younger. She continued to smile though. She noted he seemed veyr concerned, but she didn't feel like saying anything to ease his worries.

"Uhh. I've been here about a month, maybe a month and a half." she replied. She actually didn't remember when she had came. She never seemed to bother remembering.

"You can't remember?" Legion smiled, and then chuckled lightly. "That's ok. I have trouble remembering things too. It's no big deal. Really." He looked over at her, and smiled. "So, may I ask what brings you here to Starlight Academy? What powers do you have? I'm sorry for asking, I'm just curious is all."

"uhhh.. Well.." she said. Inside of her, she was debating on teling him the truth. That she could grant wishes and all of her family was dead because of her so she ran away and ended up here. She sighed and began.

"Well, I am an orphan and... my entire family was slaughtered because people wanted me. They wanted me because my power is that I can grant wishes. But, I can only grant wishes once a day, and if they kidnapped me and made me grant more than one wish. I could die... So, I ran away and here I am.." she said, all in one breath. She looked around shyly then decided to ask him the same question.

"And you? WHat are your powers?" she asked.

Legion touched her cheek lightly. "You have found refuge here. As have I. You are safe." He smiled, then looked at her. "Well, I can control lightning. But I cannot create it. I also have a dagger strapped to my arm." Legion took off his trench coat, then rolled up his left sleeve. The dagger blade shined brilliantly in the sunlight. "It was my father's dagger. It means a lot to me." He moved so he was facing opposite her on the ground.
