Xenia Asgonne
~~~
Xenia glanced down at the paper in her hand. This is was definitely the place. The Power Classes were supposedly held in the room right in front of her. She stared down the big wooden oak doors, hoping for a moment that they'd turn into her dorm room doors so she didn't have to go to class. Sighing, she pushed open the huge doors in front of her and took her first look at the big room.
It was exactly as she'd feared. It was too small. The room was plenty large- enough for about ten students that were working on their respective powers, most of them accompanied by a professor. She looked down at the paper for the thousandth time, squinting at the small type at the top of the page. Xenia Asgonne- Power, Speed. They clearly hadn't messed up, but how was she supposed to run in here? She could make a lap around the room in a a nanosecond if she had to. This was really no place for her to be training.
She sighed in relief and stuffed the paper into her pocket, crumpling it. She had no business to be here! She could go back to her dorm after all, or maybe grab a soda. There was no way for her to get in trouble for ditching class. There was no way she could practice. Then, suddenly, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted a flash of colour. She turned back around and looked in the direction of the colour.
Way across the area, stuffed in the corner of the farthest inch of the room, there was something that looked like tiny eggs. Xenia reached back into her pocket and shuffled her hand around, finally pulling out a small flyer while her more important papers fluttered to the ground. The Great Easter Egg Hunt- student with the most eggs by the end of the week wins., read the flyer. There had to be at least four eggs over there, how had no one seen them before?
She took one step forward to go collect the eggs, and then remembered where she was. At least ten students and mentors were blocking her path to the eggs. They were all doing something dangerous, whether breathing fire or smashing into huge test dummies, there wasn't any room to walk without being in the danger zone.
Xenia sighed, stuffing the flyer back into her pocket, her schedule forgotten on the floor. It was going to take more effort than she had wanted to expend, but she was going to have those eggs for her own.
