Maria sighed. She really didn't like this forest, and she hated coming here. But, unfortunately, she had to come here every once in a while, because the students didn't listen. When something was 'forbidden', that's what it meant; why did these kids always want to break the rules? She usually caught at least two or three, maybe four students every time she came out here. Hopefully, though, that would change one day... although she doubted it would.

"JUST GET OUT OF HERE! GO AWAY!"

The Headmistress sighed again. Great, there was a student here. That didn't really surprise her, though. Why can't they just listen... this is only for their own good... she shook her head and started jogging in the direction she had heard the voice. Walking wouldn't be fast enough, because by the time she got there, the kid might be gone.

She finally got there, and she looked at the male, eye's narrowed and arms folded over her chest. She was silent for a few moments before saying, "You know you kids aren't allowed to be in this place, right?"

"Oh...sorry." He said with a monotone voice. "Guess you have to take away the peace around here because you think I just love the werewolf fights around here. Then again...I could get hurt. Eh, whatever. I guess you can take your office now." Valentine's tone was not of defiance, but of what he thought to be truth. His eyes looked down at the ground, at where the girl had dissapeared into the puddle. "Whatever. Just a question, why do you run this place?"

He stood up, walking towards her as the glass shards came to him in the form of a rose. It fell as it came to him. Great...losing my powers again.

Maria was silent as he spoke. To tell the truth, she honestly didn't feel like dealing with children and punishing them at the moment. But, she had to. "That's right, you could get hurt," she said. "Why did you even come out here in the first place?" Why did she even bother asking? The excuses she got were almost always the same, and even in knowing that, she asked that question in every single situation.

"... Just a question, why do you run this place?"

An eyebrow raised. "Was that a serious question?" she asked. She looked at the pieces of glass, guessing that his powers had to do with that. She turned around slightly and took a few steps back in the direction of the school, though still looking at him, expecting him to follow her.

He shrugged, "Just wanting peace and quiet. Then again, I am always a curious one. Eh, whatever." Valentine sighed, his eyes looking up at the sky as he continued to follow her.

"Yea, it is a serious question. You don't seem like the type to even be giving out punishment." His countenance was stoic as he continued to walk by her side.

"Just wanting peace and quiet. Then again, I am always a curious one. Eh, whatever."

"Well, sometimes, curiosity isn't a good thing," Maria said. "Especially if you're curious enough to come in this forest. There are a lot of dangerous things in this place, that's why you kids aren't allowed to come here. And this place is anything but peaceful and quiet." She sighed. How many more times was she going to say this to her students? That question wasn't even worth answering. She was probably going to have to keep telling the students that until the end of time.

She shrugged her shoulders. "Yeah, I don't like giving out punishment," she said. "But that doesn't matter, I do it if I have to. Besides, I'm the one who built this place, so I kind of have to run it." She smiled a bit, though it was barely noticeable. Sure, there were times when she didn't think she was doing a good job at running the school and she got nervous, but over-all, she though she was doing an alright job.

"Well...that kind of sucks doesn't it? Not going to a job you enjoy. Anyways, I ought to be going now, it is past probably your own and mine bed times." Valentine still stayed with her, not really scared of the woman, just wondering when he would be able to go. "There was absolutely no sound really. It was sort of tranquil for me there. On the edge of the forest none of the werewolves or vampires fight or even go there because there are guards. But if you want to punish me so be it. Not like I really want to be in this school after all. My parents are just jerks, following whatever advice is given to them."

Maria shook her head. "I like running this school, even if it's something I have to do... sorry if it sounded like I didn't." She was silent for a while, listening to what he said about bedtimes. She fought the urge to shake her head again, and just didn't comment on it.

She bit the inside of her lip and sighed inwardly at what he said next, and was quiet for a few moments. "Tranquil as it may seem, you still have to be careful," she said. "And whether it's the edge of the forest or not, it's still off-limits. I hope you'll keep that in mind, because if I find out that you came here again, you're going to get more than just a warning." She paused for a moment, sighing. Sometimes, she thought she was way too lenient with these kids. "I don't feel like punishing you this time, so consider yourself lucky that you're just getting a warning."

He looked at her confused. "Some principle you are. I am sorry to insult someone, but it is true. I mean, you don't feel like punishing someone. No wonder a little child here is smoking and drinking. There is no one here that cares for the people."

Walking away and making a distance from her he responded one more time. "I mean, you are supposed to be like a parent to us, telling us what is right and wrong, not being some bum on the throne."

His footsteps continued towards the boys dorms. "I guess it is up to the kids to punish each other."
