Acinaces Arena

Masami had no idea what he was doing. Not in the out of his depth sense. No, violence was something he knew intimately. He just couldn't comprehend why he had decided to set himself up a match in the place he disliked so much. Why he was doing the very thing he called others out for: fighting for entertainment.
Although that wasn't exactly true either. He knew why he was doing it. He had a plan kind of hammered out. But it was one that hinged on him actually winning. And honestly, he wasn't sure that he could win this one.
But his honor demanded that he see this through, even if it killed him. Which, who even knew. It might. He wondered if Fehralyn would be upset if he died. If Jude would. He couldn't think of too many more people who would really notice. His neighbors for sure, when the wifi bill went up. Maybe that punk kid, Tai. His favorite bartender. Not too many others though.
The place was packed, that was for sure. Tier certainly knew how to draw in a crowd. Masami had avoided all advertising for the arena in the days leading up to the fight. He didn't want to know how they'd spun this.
He was dressed simply: track pants and a tank top. There was no hiding his frame in this: he was ripped. There was also no hiding the place where his forearm had been reattached so crudely.
Other than this, he carried an odd weapon on his hip. A katana tsuka and tsuba without an apparent blade attached to it. He let out a long breath, steadying himself.
He was such an idiot.
