On Thin Ice

Jaxon saying Charlie should wear her scarf like this more often alone made her blush a bit, but when he also took her hand the butterflies in Charlie's stomach went crazy and she blushed even more. Charlie reached up to tug her scarf, but it was on her waist. So she just tried to magically make her bangs longer as Jaxon lead her to the rink by the hand.

Charlie sat down, and her hands were shaking a bit as she began loosening the laces on the skates. She jumped a bit when Jaxon asked a question, looked at him and on the ice. Seeing the people skating, and the pure white ice helped with Charlie's shaking hands. She stared on the ice for a moment, mesmerized, and then turned to shyly smile at Jaxon.
"Yeah...I am."

Charlie and Jaxon sat in silence for a moment, as they both began putting their skates on. Charlie finished first, and waited for Jaxon to finish as well. She occasionally glanced at Jaxon, and noticed he was watching out for his other arm. Charlie frowned a bit in concern, but didn't say anything. If Jaxon wanted to talk about it he would, it was none of Charlie'd business.
But she made a mental note to be careful.

As Jaxon finished Charlie stood up and wobbled a bit, it was a strange feeling to suddenly be so tall and stand on such unsteady shoes. She appreciatively, and shyly, took Jaxon's arm and the two carefully walked over to the gate where they could step on the ice. Charlie let go of Jaxon's arm as she stepped on the ice, not wanting him to go down with her if she fell. She almost immediately fell down on her ass on the ice. Charlie blinked couple of times, blushed a bit from embarrassment and chuckled nervously at herself.

Charlie wasn't hurt or anything, she just sat on the ice for a moment because she was stunned by how fast and easily she had fallen. This was completely different from rollerskating.
Charlie eventually turned on all fours and attempted to get up. Just in time Jaxon offered her a hand, and Charlie took it while blushing.
"T-thank..you..."
Charlie muttered and helped herself upright. But as she straightened Charlie wobbled again and had to grab Jaxon's shoulder so she didn't fall down again. Her blush deepened and Charlie went to grab the railing instead. Their faces had been so close together for a moment...
"I'm s-sorry..."
Charlie said after her blush died down a bit, looking at Jaxon apologetically.

Charlie tried getting the feel for the skates by holding tightly onto the railing and sliding the blades a bit on the spot, seeing how they felt against the ice. Charlie glanced at Jaxon and smiled shyly.
"A-are you...good at..skating"

Charlie did realize she had grabbed the hand, that Jaxon was trying to be careful with, and felt immense guilt for pulling on it like that. But what happened after she got up kind of wiped her mind.

So Jaxon was just as new to this as Charlie. That was somehow comforting, and Charlie smiled slightly.
"Then...we can, um...learn together."
She said with a slight blush on her cheeks.

Charlie was in a constant state of being flushed at this point, and she nodded a bot at Jaxon and smiled slightly.
"I'm just...happy, if I can...keep standing."
Charlie said and chuckled a bit.

Jaxon's idea made Charlie giggle a bit and she nodded, also galncing down at her feet. She turned her back to Jaxon, still gripping the railing, and tried pushing herself a bit. Charlie slid few meters along the railing without almost falling, and just that was enough to make her feel satisfied. It was kind of like rollerskating, but this time the ground was slippery and not your skates.
