Gabe didn't like to lose either but sometimes he had to act like he had lost to William, so that he could get his way in the long run. If William thought he had gotten the better of Gabe then the boy would be satisfied and therefore Gabe's life would become a lot easier.

Gabe believed that William was using theatrics at the moment and he didn't really think that it was likely the boy was actually going to cry, even with how easily Bill did cry. However he had to go along with Bill if he wanted to stop any of Bill's tears from turning into real tears. "I'm sorry," Gabe let out a little sigh, "I didn't mean to hurt your feelings or cause you to feel like crying."

"I'll make it up to you," Gabe promised, "I'll get you some candy or ice cream if you like?" If there was one thing that could placate William it was candy. He'd heard there were going to be stalls at the festival, there weren't any in sight but maybe around the corner? "I'm sorry for being horrible..." He apologised again.

<div align=center>"Fuck off." William answered, defiantly. He didn't want to be bribed. There was evidently something up now and Gabe wasn't really helping. The boy had half a mind to get up and leave, he was feeling altogether very fiery and he didn't really want this to lead to what might be a real fight. That was the worst case scenario, however, and Gabe was usually the one that was able to steer away from fights. It was like a young child screaming at their mother, no matter how many times the child tells his mother he hates her, she just sighs and tells him 'I know,' and the kid carries on screaming. William was that screaming child, and Gabriel his mother.

He sniffled a little, tensing up and shuffling a few inches away from his boyfriend, "I don't want stupid candy." He grumbled, "or do you wanna make me fatter than I already am?" He snapped, head whipping up and eyes locking up onto Gabe's. "As if I'm not already self conscious enough?! And you want me to put on even more weight?" His feet met the floor again and he sat up straight, on the contrary, Bill had lost weight recently, if anything, rather than gained it.</div>

Gabe was beginning to realise that maybe William wasn't just being over dramatic, maybe there was something more to this than met the eye. He frowned a little, unsure what to make of all this. He just wanted things to be alright again between them and anything he had tried so far had only caused things to get worse.

In some ways this was quite relatable to the child hates mother scenario. The child will fight and fight till they get their own way and while the mother knows the things they are saying aren't personal it can still bug them.

Concern for the boy flooded over Gabriel. William was talking about being fat again, when if you looked at him you could see that he was anything but fat. The poor kid was thin as could be really, he was most likely underweight. Gabe knew that William had a disease that led him to believe otherwise though, a nasty disease in his mind that Gabe didn't know how to get rid of.

"Bill we don't have to get candy...it was just a suggestion," Gabe sighed, "I'm not going to force you to eat anything you don't want to." He met William's eyes, "William Beckett you are not fat, at all. You don't need to worry about gaining weight." Bill didn't eat enough to gain weight, there was no way he could gain.

Gabe tried to wrap an arm around the boy, maybe all he needed was comfort. It was the last thing Gabe could think of. "I love you...even if you don't love me."

<div align=center>"Bah." The boy folded his arms, shuffled sideways and pushed himself slowly up against the older boy. "M'sorry it's hot and I'm grumpy." He muttered, days like this were for napping. Not for being outside. He examined his nails for a moment, and awkwardly wrapped both of his arms around Gabriel's waist, mumbling something that only ended up being muffled into the man's side and tucking his head underneath his arm. It was probably too warm to be that close, he was dreading having to deal with the full swing of summer. William most likely only struggled with the heat due to the fact that his clothing choices were altogether very impractical.

"I am." He mumbled, voice still muffled into Gabriel's side. "Love you too." He looked up, and sighed audibly. "Alright let's go and do something fun, okay?" He smiled a little, just to prove there weren't any hard feelings. There was no point taking things out on Gabe. He hadn't done anything wrong. He was just trying to do something nice for Bill. "I'm sorry." He hunched his shoulders and whimpered a little. "I'm being mean, aren't I?" He asked softly, pouting a little. "I'm sorry I love you."</div>

Gabe could see Bill beginning to cool down now and he started to relax. He must have finally said something right. Thank God , Gabe thought, if the boy hadn't come around then he would have been forced to bring him home.

"You were being a little grumpy, " Gabe agreed, "but it's okay, I understand the heat is making you uncomfortable. " Gabe could deal with the heat better than William naturally and he was also dressed more practically, but even Gabe was beginning to get a little hot and bothered at this point. It was harsh out today and realistically he probably should have considered the heat before he decided to go out.

When Gabe felt Bill wrap his hands around his waist, he pulled the boy closer and moved the boy's arms into a position that was more comfortable for the both of them and felt a lot less awkward. "You're not, Guillermo," Gabe knew that no matter how many times he told Bill that he wasn't fat William wouldn't believe him. He wouldn't give up, because if he didn't deny it then the boy might take that as a sign of agreement and Gabe most definitely didn't agree with William on this. "I wish you'd believe me."

' Alright let's go and do something fun, okay? ' Finally they were going to begin having the fun afternoon Gabe had set out to have from the beginning. The corners of Gabe's mouth turned up when he saw Bill's smile. It reassured him that things were good between them again. Gabe, like most people, didn't like conflict. At least not with the people he was close to. "Sounds like a good plan Guillermo, " Gabe nodded enthusiastically.

"Just a bit, " Gabe admitted, "but it's all good now, right? " After Bill apologised numerous times Gabe kissed him, simply to shut him up. "I forgive you Bill don't worry, " he assured him once they broke away.

"I love you too, more than anyone else in the whole world. Now let's go enjoy what's left of the afternoon. "
