“Really?” Hearing that pictures was free came as yet another wonderful surprise. “I guess I can be gullible when I’m not thinking straight, this is just, ahhaha.” He couldn’t finish his sentence without letting out an overjoyed laugh. He proceeded to get his phone to the camera and pointed it at Eein.
“Of course, of course, I’d never.” He knew all about the secretive nature of everything here. The picture was just for himself. And maybe other people on the island. Though that little tid bit about the island having magic internet was neat to hear. He’d have to look into that some other time.
“Say cheese!” Alby took a photo once Eein was ready, then turned the phone around and took a selfie with Eein in the back. When he was done, he quickly reviewed them and let out another excited squeal.
He was caught off guard when the dragon asked what he could do. His priority right now was to absorb as much intel as possible from this dragon, but he supposed it was only fair to show him what he could do in return.
“I’ll show you what I can do, but then you gotta show me what you can too.” It seemed to be less of a question than it should’ve been, making it seem as though Eein wasn’t really getting a choice.
What came next was the usual display that happened every time Alby went to show someone his power. He dug through his left pocket and took out a chunk of sticky notes and a pencil, then put the notes back in his pocket and the pencil on the ground in front of himself. “Alright, here we go.” Rubbing his hands together, he then held them out and directed them towards the pencil with his palms opened. Next came a serious of struggling noises as a turquoise light surrounded the pencil and a white light filled his eyes. Within the next several seconds, the pencil started lifting and slowly raised to above his head. After about 40 seconds, the light faded, the pencil dropped and Alby fell to his knees. Alby looked up at the dragon, clearly pretty exhausted, then responded with a simple “There.”
