“Really?” Hearing that pictures was free came as yet another wonderful surprise. “I guess I can be gullible when I’m not thinking straight, this is just, ahhaha.” He couldn’t finish his sentence without letting out an overjoyed laugh. He proceeded to get his phone to the camera and pointed it at Eein.

“Of course, of course, I’d never.” He knew all about the secretive nature of everything here. The picture was just for himself. And maybe other people on the island. Though that little tid bit about the island having magic internet was neat to hear. He’d have to look into that some other time.

“Say cheese!” Alby took a photo once Eein was ready, then turned the phone around and took a selfie with Eein in the back. When he was done, he quickly reviewed them and let out another excited squeal.

He was caught off guard when the dragon asked what he could do. His priority right now was to absorb as much intel as possible from this dragon, but he supposed it was only fair to show him what he could do in return.

“I’ll show you what I can do, but then you gotta show me what you can too.” It seemed to be less of a question than it should’ve been, making it seem as though Eein wasn’t really getting a choice.

What came next was the usual display that happened every time Alby went to show someone his power. He dug through his left pocket and took out a chunk of sticky notes and a pencil, then put the notes back in his pocket and the pencil on the ground in front of himself. “Alright, here we go.” Rubbing his hands together, he then held them out and directed them towards the pencil with his palms opened. Next came a serious of struggling noises as a turquoise light surrounded the pencil and a white light filled his eyes. Within the next several seconds, the pencil started lifting and slowly raised to above his head. After about 40 seconds, the light faded, the pencil dropped and Alby fell to his knees. Alby looked up at the dragon, clearly pretty exhausted, then responded with a simple “There.”

The dragon would strike a strong prideful pose for the photos, he wanted to look good for them afterall. He'd tilt his head squinting down at the boy, watching as he moved the pencil with his mind. "Huh, telekinesis," he'd scratch his chin, "useful power." He assumed Alby was still learning and adjusting to the ability.

"Ok, sooooooooo," turning his head, he'd release a quick blast of blue flame, which would hit the ground leaving a layer of ice on a section of it. "Freezing fire," he'd say proudly, "I'm an elemental dragon....multiple elements." He was proud that he wasn't tied down to just one element like many dragons were.

He'd lean his head down to look at him. "So....you met a dragon...guess your life is more fulfilled," he'd say jokingly with a small snicker.

Alby was very grateful for the compliment from the dragon. He was quite proud of his ability, but it was rarely considered useful in its current state. There was little he could do with his power that he couldn't do by regular means, and it was always far more exhausting to use his ability than to just lift something up himself.

When it came to be time for Eein to show his stuff, Alby managed to stand up and back up just a little. What came next was an unbelievable yet beautiful display of fire and ice. Alby looked utterly starstruck at the sight of it, letting out a quiet "Woah." that made it sound like he was in a trance.

He kept his eyes glued to the icy layer, only turning away at Eein's next comment. "Yes, definitely!" His face was red, and he was clearly still pretty tired, but that excited look never went anywhere. He stared intently, examining the dragon's form. "you're just, wow, just wow!" He made enthusiastic arm movements as he spoke, using his body language as an outlet for his feelings.

Alby was staring pretty intently, observing Eein as best he could so that he could write about it later. That's when he noticed feathers and fur. Not much of them, but definitely an unexpected find on a dragon. Rather randomly, he just asked. "Do, all dragons have feathers and fur?" He'd heard about dinosaurs actually having feathers, so he didn't consider it much of a stretch.

He'd chuckle. "Yeah, wow is good word for me, simple but good," he was a young and prideful dragon, and this was adding a bit to this. "I'm always training my powers, I want to keep getting stronger," being active and getting stronger was something he was always working on.

Eein would tilt his his head when asked about feathers and fur. "Not all no," he'd scratch as his chin, "why ask about that though?" He hadn't noticed the small amount he was starting to grow.

The young dragon would lean in a bit. "Most dragons have scales instead of fur or feathers, some have all thread," his dad had had fur and feathers.

"Just curious, it's not something I've seen on other dragons before. Not that I've seen any other real dragons before, just in any pictures of them I guess." What little dragon knowledge Alby had was stuff he'd learned in the narrow reality. He still didn't know how many similarities would hold up, but it seemed that it would vary from dragon to dragon.

Alby wished he had his journal with him. Half the time he'd take it with him on his jog, of course it was the time he didn't that he ran into a dragon. "Pretty sweet, sounds like dragons come in a pretty wide variety."

"Other dragons before?" he'd repeat it, squiting at the boy, "not sure wh as t you're on about, but I don't have feathers...or fur..never had." It wasn't as if he looked at his dragon form in the mirror or anything, he was usually outside when he shifted.

"They do yeah," he'd stay with a nod, "you got European dragons, which is what my group mostly are with a few exceptions." He'd yawn a bit. "And you more serpent like dragons and you got sea dragons, plus a bunch of other kimds."

"Anyhow, now you've seen a dragon," he'd snicker, "the greatest one on the island at that. Lucky you."

Alby gave a slightly confused look, finally realizing thet Eein mustn't have been aware of exactly how he looked. "Yeah you do? One second." He took out his phone again, took a picture again and then brought it over to the dragon. "See?" He zoomed in on the picture with his fingers then held it up for him to see. "Right there. You seriously didn't know?"

Hearing about the various kinda of dragons was getting him excited again. He was going to have to do a ton of research later.

"Yes, thank you very very much." He smiled. He wasn't sure if Eein really was the greatest on the island, but he was thinking it was likely a joke based off of how Eein had been acting since he'd met him.

Eein would squint at the phone, reaching back he'd reach for the spots. "The fuck?" he'd say as his draconic hand ran through fur and then feathers, "that's..........that's fucking new." He'd grunt, it wasn't bad, but feathers might mess with how he flies until he's adjusted to them.

He'd shift down to his human form. "Well.....learn something new every day I guess," even if that new thing was growing extra things on his body. "Hopefully they look decent, doesn't cover up to much of my scales."

The young dragon would look at Alby. "So, how much have you seen from the island?" his stomach would growl rather loudly as the two spoke.

Alby just watched as the dragon seemed to be seeing this for the first time. He didn't say anything, letting Eein process the fact that he had feathers. "Heh, yeah. They're fine, you look amazing, don't worry."

When Eein shifted back into a human form, Alby shortly made a face of disappointment. He was enjoying the dragon looking like a dragon. Still, he supposed that Eein was still totally a dragon even when he didn't look it, and that was still pretty rad.

"Hmm, I haven't seen as much as I would've liked actually. Some of the school and a few other students briefly. Seems pretty normal honestly. Don't know what I was expecting, but I guess I thought it'd be weirder here." He scratched the back of his head then gave a small smirk. "You take the cake as the coolest thing I've seen so far."

"Don't worry, you'll see plenty of weirdness, probably accidentally a lot of times,"he'd definitely stumbled onto some of the weird things the island has and to offer. "You're gonna see all kinds of magical stuff...and some not magic stuff, aliens and robots, things like that."

He'd chuckle. "Well I am pretty damn cool," he'd smirk a tiny bit, "gotta be careful though, us dragons are a prideful lot." Erin would snort in amusement, "shouldn't go about stroking the ego of every dragon you see."

Eein's stomach would growl again. "Eh, you hungry?" he'd ask, stretching a bit, "because I sure am."
