It was a beautiful morning in Manta Carlos city. The blue sky seemed to stretch forever, with only a few poofy white clouds in the sky. The warm air of a summer at its height made most pedestrians wear shorts and loose fitting clothes to help stay cool. The denizens of the island were beginning to stir just like they would any other day, likely preparing for their commute to work. For the most part though, it was just another Thursday like any other. Students on summer break were savoring their final days of freedom before beginning classes again soon, parents enjoyed leisurely days at the beach with their children, and the far and few in-between went about their business as normal.

What a beautiful, beautiful, day.

8:00am
Cyrano De Bergerac woke up in his apartment slowly, and then went back to sleep for another 30 minutes... After this second attempt to stretch a few extra minutes of sleep out was done though, the red nosed tengu literally rolled out of bed, "Ungh" the man groaned to himself as he pushed himelf slowly up off the ground reluctantly. The yokai rubbed his eyes and looked around at his supremely tidy apartment, it was another day then. It was refreshing to be gone from the academy for a while, make some cash over the summer to afford his own apartment for when he was on break. Still, the summer was nearing its end and soon enough he'd be back into a uniform.

Cy didn't bother to put on any clothes as he shuffled like a zombie over towards his shower, washing himself and shaving some of his black stubble. Black facial hair on a completely red body didn't mix. Once satisfied and feeling more presentable, the yokai plopped himself down at his desk in his two room apartment and opened up his laptop. "What've we got then?" he said to himself, checking his intensely detailed calender, only to find that he had nothing going on that day nor until next Wednesday. God, not having anything to do was driving him mad with boredom. Maybe he'd go see a movie by himself, gorge himself on popcorn and soda, that'd make him feel better. Mulling over these thoughts the tengu walked onto the balcony of his apartment and looked down at the streets below.

It was a beautiful day.

Sleeping had become easier after her body and mind settled down on her new environment. A simple apartment that her older sister had stayed in when she first got here. And to think, Rosetta, as the little sister, was worried sick about her while she was just sleeping like a baby for... how long was she gone for? Well it didn't matter. All that mattered was the point: Aliasse was peacefully living here in this cozy apartment while Rosetta was nearly at the verge of ripping her own hair out trying to find out what happened to her. So much so that she attacked her own sister when she finally showed up, thinking it was some shape-shifter trying to take advantage of her.

She woke up pretty early, but her sister was up even earlier, following a lead for some jobs for the two of them. Waking up was routine, she stretched, took a long shower, got dressed then fixed herself some breakfast. Although, like always, her sister already had a meal set on the table. It was just covered with other plates so the flies or ants wouldn't get to it.

Although, as she finished the routine, she realized that she had nothing planned for today. Happy to just sit back and watch TV, she did so with no regrets. However, as she was doing so, she had also dismantled her pistol for general cleaning. She had done this so many times already that she could be asleep and she'd still be able to put the thing back together. Guns were so intricate and expertly made, and over the years she had become appreciative of the art. Partly the reason why she was planning on taking a course in engineering when the school year starts again.

Yoka Sake was completely passed out at a booth at The Cross Fox.

The doors were locked and the lights of the building brick building were off. The entire place still had a faint smoldering smell of smoke lingering--evidence of why Yoka was sleeping here and not in the apartment upstairs or at her own home. She was very involved with her businesses. At best, this meant she felt entitled to the large percentage of money she made each year. At worst, it meant she spent at least one night a week sleeping at work after cleaning up after something magical malfunctioned and instead of shooting sparkling confetti over the stage instead decided to spray out sparkling confetti that was on fire.

It was a beautiful day outside but Yoka didn't expect to see it until eleven...unless something woke her up earlier.

8:30am - Cy's Apartment
Cy continued to sit on the balcony of his apartment, staring down at the streets below and wondering what he was going to do with his day. School was almost around the corner, he had to get through one more year before he could graduate. The tengu wasn't sure what he'd do after that honestly. Would he get a job? Would he go to the college here? It was a haze of questions that he didn't dare try and venture into sober. Instead, the swordsman simply sat in his boxers and tanktop on the balcony and let the warm morning son heat him up. This was not to last however.

The sound of a knock on his door stirred the yokai's attention, "Hello? Is anyone there? Special delivery!" The voice of a man could be heard from the other side of the door. Cy frowned, he didn't recall ordering anything recently. What he saw in front of him as he opened the door was a man, presumably in his thirties and shorter than him. He wore disgusting colors, with a cyan coat, a green turtleneck and dark purple trousers. The oddest part was his hair: His presumably long hair was rolled and tightened into small "bulbs" of hair that stood on his head. It was like a polka-dot pattern of red hair bulbs and exposed skin. Cy truly started with a great day in the morning, and with that he meant a disgusting and horrifying one.

"O-ho! I'm surprised at your complexion! Are you tired, good sir?" The man asked. Cy was unsure whether this was a joke regarding his skin color or not. The delivery man handed Cy the package. The address was fine alright, but the name was something else. A package for a certain "Ging Nigg". Odd name. To flabbergasted and confused to reply or stop the strange deliveryman, Cy failed to stop him from leaving, "Well, I guess my job here is done then! Enjoy your package, kind sir! I'll be taking my leave!"

And with that, the "charming" delivery man was gone. The tengu suddenly had a bad feeling. He opened the packaged box only to find it empty. How strange. With that the tengu went back to the balcony, more puzzled than before.

8:30am - Rosetta's Apartment
The sound of a fist knocking on the door would be heard throughout the woman's apartment as a man's voice called out. "Hello? Is anyone there? Special delivery!" The voice of a man could be heard from the other side of the door. Were Rosetta to open the door, she would find a man, presumably in his thirties and shorter than him.

The delivery man would quickly hand Rosetta the package if she were to open the door. The address was fine alright, but the name was something else. A package for a certain "Ging Nigg". Odd name. The enigmatic deliveryman would smile and look full of life as he regarded Rosetta, "If that's all you'll need miss, I'll be on my way!" he said with a chipper attitude. With that, he would close the door to her apartment, disappearing seemingly after that if she were to try to look for him upon opening the package to realize it was empty and wrongly addressed.

As she was done cleaning up her weapon, she assumed a free-firing stance in her seat, aiming down the sights at the door, imagining that an intruder was about to burst in. Her aim was steady, and everything still looked perfectly straight. A good sign that she didn't mess up. However, when the knock resounded from the door, she was startled. Was there someone actually trying to burst in?

Special delivery? No way that was for her or her sister's. She had a bad feeling about this, and these days, her guts were rarely wrong. Still, the feeling wasn't disabling, so for the most part, she's going to be fine. For now. Still, she tucked her gun under the back garter of her sweat pants as she turned the knob and opened the door just a crack to see who it was.

Somebody call the fashion police...

Before she could refuse the package, it was thrust into her arms and off the strange guy went.

Ging Nigg? Was that an anagram, or an actual name? She shook the package lightly to listen to what might be inside. Nothing. There was no sound, and she couldn't feel anything shifting about. She put the package on a small table by the door, not wanting to bring it deeper into the room.

Should she open this...?

Shoot, what if the inside this package was poisoned or something...

8:30AM

The banging at the door woke Yoka up. She jerked away, sitting up, and some of her dark hair was still plastered to her face. Yoka ran a quick hand through her hair, adjusted her bodice to make sure everything was at least covered and contained, and sat up to answer the door. Special delivery? Had something she ordered arrived early?

"Good morni--" Yoka started, her voice a little rough from the smoke last night. Woah, okay, not her usually delivery guy. Yoka would not be making any bet you have a package for me jokes with this one.

She glanced down at the name on the box and went to say, "I'm sorry but this isn't my address."

Only when she looked up, the man was gone.

Ging Nigg.

Yoka ran through a list of her employees and not a single one came to mind with that name as either a stage name or a real name, not even her beloved Tuesday night tentacle monster. Yoka set the box on a table and considered it. She glanced down at her wrist, only to remember she wasn't wearing a watch. Yoka yawned.

She could take it to the post office later. They were always open late. For right now, Yoka would ignore the mystery package. She sat down back on the booth and closed her eyes again.

Only she had trouble going to sleep. For some reason, it bothered her. Ging Nigg was too specific to be a mistake. It was no where close to The Cross Fox. Why was it brought here?
