Null Horizons

Null Horizons, located by the bay area of the city, is a deceptively large magic shop and cafe owned by Kiron Hel'Sarie, appearing a lot smaller on the outside thanks to reality-bending enchantments and portals. Peering through the window or once inside, customers will clearly see the shop extending well beyond its four walls, and inside those areas, the windows that would show the outside world will show nothing but a dark void with purplish clouds drifting by instead, as if the shop was floating inside a nebula in space. The first area fills the entirety of the physical building and contains a varied selection of magical items with novel purposes, such as stones that shine, glow, or project symbols on what they are pointed at when touched, sparklers that never run out but also doesn't burn, journals that can encrypt their contents until its key is inserted into a slot on its cover, wands that practitioners of magic can use to slightly help focus their spells, glasses that will never break nor spill their contents when dropped or tipped over (unless its being cleaned), small statuettes that changes their shape when not observed, and many more. The rest of the shop is accessed through glass doors, and most of the rooms are separated by large glass pane windows, allowing a view of whats to be expected. However customers and visitors alike, for their safety, are required to wear enchanted necklaces with a small violet crystal charm which are available for free at the reception desk, or a force field will prevent them from entering the other rooms. They need not worry about forgetting to return them as they will be teleported back to reception once the necklaces leave the building. The other rooms are as follows, in a clockwise rotation starting on the left side of the entrance: -Cafe- The Null Horizons Cafe takes on a futuristic-medieval look, with the light grey cobble-like floors having a purplish glow between the cobble stones as if lined with LED strips. The tables by the walls are rectangular, able to accommodate two to six people, but patrons are allowed to re-arrange as necessary. The other tables are circular and come in sizes that can accommodate two to four people. The chairs are ornate, with claw-footed legs and soft cushions. The tables and chairs are made from a foreign wood, white in color and polished, looking very much like marble but definitely feels and sounds like wood. For lighting there are crystals on the walls that give off a calming blue glow, but the majority of the light inside the cafe is emitted from the ceiling, from bioluminescent flowers and buds that are growing from vines that spread across the ceiling's surface. Their color and intensity is controlled by the barista. The barista himself is a stoic and blindfolded character who has no problem maneuvering the counters and operating the machines and hardly gets any of the orders wrong. All the common drinks are available, ranging from coffee, tea, juice, and shakes. Patrons may also request custom drinks. Popular custom drinks may be added to the promotional menu for a time, and if it keeps being popular with the other patrons, be added to the official menu. Aside from drinks, they also serve food such as sandwiches, salads, fries, pastries and cake slices. -Aracanum Range- The Arcanum Range is a place where people can try out magical spells or items without worrying about getting hurt by their own actions or by someone else's. Magic seems to simply dissipate before they can harm anyone, and physical forces are stopped by force fields around the patrons. There are however target dummies people can use, and they aren't protected, and pop in whenever needed. The range's purpose is to let patrons who commissioned a new magic item from the shop to test their new toy, but people can play around inside after they've paid the entrance fee. The range itself takes the form of a floating island, with the edge fenced off. Attempting to jump off will only teleport the person back to the entrance. It has lush lavender grass however the sky is practically non-existent. Like the view from the other side rooms, the sky is a dark void with the occasional cloud with a range of hues from blues to purple drifting by. Curiously, the room remains well-lit, with shadow being directly under objects and people as if an invisible light source is directly above them. -Enchanter's Workshop- This room is located behind the counter and comparatively smaller than the previous ones and doesn't offer a window to look into from the main entrance. It functions as the managerial office as well. Customers who aren't looking to commission an enchantment or custom magical items usually don't have a reason to be in this room, but all the same, so long as they behave, they can look around. The Workshop has three sections, separated by the color of the unusually soft carpets. The first, bearing a soft red, is the receiving area, where a coffee table and some armchairs around it are located, with a desk by the wall. The second, bearing a dark blue carpet and taking up the most room is the actual workshop with unusual machines used to make parts and components, with some templates of staves and wands among other things mounted on the walls, which can be moved like a vertical conveyor belt to show off more templates. The third area, with a white carpet, is the smallest section with a legless bed with white covers that's floating above an orb embedded at the center of the floor. This is where Kiron performs enchantments on people. This section is divided from the rest of the rooms with drapes.
