"Stop you from carrying out evil acts," he explained, though he began to feel more and more stupid by the minute. He liked this guy. No, it was trickery. Some evil spell to make him doubt himself. No doubt he would attack the moment his guard was let down. "The wicked need to be removed."

Zartax had the feeling that he was severely outmatched. This guy could probably just teleport of he got anywhere near him or if he did have invisibility, there would be no way of knowing where he was. Perhaps the shadows had something to do with it. Maybe if there were a way to bring in more light, his powers wouldn't be as effective. They were all just guesses but he hoped that he could figure out how to get the upper hand somehow.

He composed himself before beginning his charge at the blue man. His arms were thrust across his body as two short shards pelted towards his target, preparing the crystal batons to engage with the enemy. His aim with the shards was becoming better but he had no idea where the sudden confidence to carry out a melee attack had come from. He just hoped that his foe wasn't a skilled fighter.

Vos

"Well a good number of fish and rabbits would be spared if I died," he'd shrug, "I suppose that'd be an accomplishment."

He knew the throw was going to happen, had seen it in their body language, so Vos caught the shards quite easily. "Huh, well then," he'd glance at the shards before dropping them to the ground. "Tell me Zartax, have you ever been in a fight before?"

"I'm going to say no, you made several mistakes I can tell," he'd then vanish into the shadow again. He'd pop out of another, Zartax's shadow, his foot kicking out, aimed for the back of his opponent's knew, if it made contact and had the desirable affect he'd follow up with an open handed strike against the side of his head.

He caught the projectiles... Zartax had a suspicion that this fight was not going to end with him as the victor. Perhaps his useless attempt at a close-quarters attack may have given him more hope but before reaching his target, the blue man had already disappeared into the shadows. Maybe he had been on to something in assuming that the darkness was his means of transporting himself.

Before he even had time to stop his charge, he was kicked in the back of the knee, throwing him off balance. Luckily, he had the idea to use that momentum to his advantage, avoiding the strike as he rolled away from his adversary. Panting as he steadied himself, he turned to face the other person. “It’s not my first fight,” he said, not stating that this was, in fact, his second fight.

He was obviously more skilled in hand-to-hand combat than Zartax was so he decided to try to keep his distance if he could help it. Throwing both his hands forward, six shards shot towards the demon. Though he could know aim them enough to know that they were going to hit him, he wasn’t entirely sure where on the body they would actually hit. Surely, he could not catch all six.

Vos

He opponent had good speed, but he could tell he lacked experience, he obviously didn't know how to pick his fights well. As Zartax dodged the attack Vos's reached down to touch his own shadow. His glowing blue eyes watching his enemy, waiting for his next movie.

Could he catch all six projectiles? Unlikely, but he wouldn't need to. He'd vanish into his own shadow, emerging from one of the shadows of a tree. Now he held a weapon, a sword drawn from the shadow, created with his shadow magic.

"Tell me," he'd take a step forward, resting the blade against his shoulder, "have you had any experience at all?" He'd tilt his head, "you didn't try to gather info on me at all did you? Didn't even try to scout me out?" He'd sigh, "well, if you wish to put those batons of yours to use, then by all means, " he'd then motion him to approach, calm as ever.
