Whisp was on a mission of sorts as she skated across the sidewalks to the academy dorms. Things had been progressing pretty well as far getting used to the new environment but holidays were something she was still getting used to. While Christmas and various other island holidays had past the one she was most excited for was Valentines day.

The only problem which she quickly remedied by sending her friend Liam a Valentines day gift was that she was single. She had been told that friends could gifts so she had taped Valentines themed oreos to his door with a cute card. Her signature had been a snowflake, she sorta like the romanticized holiday.

Stopping at his dorm she knocked quickly and waited for him to answer. She had received an anonymous gift in the mail and she was pretty sure it was from him. If not she had a secret admire, as far as she was concerned as romantic as the thought was Liam was the more logical answer.

Liam had just finished eating, meat of course, looking over as he heard the knock. Standing he'd stretch and yawn a bit, he'd put on a bit more weight since arriving and was looking healthier. Scratching the back of his head he'd step over to the door and open it.

He'd smile nervously when he saw Whisp. He'd sent that valentine's anonymously, having not thought to hide his scent on it somehow. "Hey Whisp," he didn't expect that she knew, or even possibly expected, but he couldn't help but be nervous.

"Come on in," he'd say, stepping to the side and letting her enter. "Oh, thank you for the oreos," he'd say with a blush, having found the pack of his favorite snacks duct taped to his door of all places.

Whisp smiled as she walked through the door. She was glad he managed to get the present before someone took it. "No problem, you're the only friend I have that I thought to give a present too." She still enjoyed the necklace that he had gotten her for Christmas and she was wearing it every day. She flopped down on his bed after removing her coat and bag. She wasn't quite sure how to broach the subject of the gift. She didn't want to sound like she was accusing but that's exactly what she was doing.

"Sooo, I received a Valentines day gift in the mail."

He'd close the door, turning to his friend who he may have a crush on, emotions were such confusing things. "Did you want something to drink? Some coffee maybe?"

Then she brought up the anonymous valentine gift, and his face immediately turned red. "O-Oh?" he'd clear his throat, uncertain what to say. "Uh....," he'd cough nervously. He honestly wasn't sure what to expect, how she'd react to knowing he sent.

"I-In the mail?" he'd ask, stammering, doing a bad job at hiding that he'd been the one who sent it.

Whisp shook her head "I don't really drink much besides water, I have to drink so much to stay hydrated, I try not to drink things that can counteract that." She was pretty much sure by his reaction that it was him. However she was going to at least have a little fun with this because he was cute when he was embarrassed.

"Yeah, It was a cute little card and a Rose. I really enjoyed it, it's sorta nice to think that I have a secret admirer out there. What do you think?" She gave him a small smirk and waited for him to answer. Part of her wanted to give him a hug because she understood what it was like to be called out but it was still fun.

"I-I don't know," he'd say, trying to stop the stammering and the blushing and failing miserably at both. "Uh....was it flowers or a card?" he'd ask, still trying to hide the fact that he'd sent them.

He'd clear his throat. "Maybe it is someone who secretly like you," he'd say, still trying to figure out if she did actually know. It was hard to tell with her sometimes, she seemed so dense, it added to her charm but made judging things hard.

"You don't know who it was?" he'd ask, bus blush increasing though his stammering had faded some.

Whisp twirled a strand of her hair, she had to admit had it not been for his reaction she would be second guessing herself. Just because they were friends disn’t mean he had to send her one... maybe the embarassment was because he didnt want to hurt her feelings. She hoped that he didn’t believe she was asuming he liked her ... or maybe she was overthinking things.

“Im assuming it was you....unless it wasn’t. I mean not to say that I think you like me or anything. Injust figured because we were friends you were being an amazing friend so I wouldn’t feel left out.”

This was all going very strangely, even Liam with his lack of social experience could see that. That said, he couldn't tell if it was going badly or not, it just seemed to be weird and going.

"No, no, no," he'd say, somewhat losing his already fractured calm. "I uh....uh.....I did send it," he was stammering now, bordering panicking. The young werewolf wasn't sure what to say or do in this situation.

"And I uh...uh...yeah..do like you..," he hadn't really meant to say that last part. "Oh gods, I screwed it all up didn't I?" his face was of course red and he had a look of embarrassment and defeat.

As Whisp watched him panic a sorta light bulb went off in her head. She almost felt bad for calling him out like she did. It’s not that she didn’t think the younger boy was cute, she had just not thought past friendship. In fact she felt kind bad for noticing before them again this could’ve been a recent development.

“No, No you didn’t screw anything up. I just figured you were being nice because I dont know many people or ever celebrated the holiday. If it hadn’t been for your blushing I would’ve assumed my guess my was wrong.” She gave him a small smile to try and calm his worries. “How about we uh...talk about this?”

Her smile did help to calm him, in fact her reacting well to the reveal helped generally calm his nerves. "Uh...yeah, we can talk," he'd been worried that her finding out would ruin the friendship somehow.

Taking a breath he'd grab a chair from his desk and take a seat in it. He felt awkward and embarrassed beyond measure but at least he'd calmed down some.

"So.....uh....yeah," he'd scratch the back of his head, uncertain what to say, how to start this conversation. "Didn't know how to tell you....so it just slipped out," yes, awkward indeed, but at least it was a start.
