This was an absolute disaster.
Quincy stood outside this supposed "random dorm room" with his hand awkwardly hanging in the air, trying to decide whether or not he wanted to knock on it or not. He really should though, if he wanted to right this disaster he'd made. It was half a joke, half 'just wanted to join in with the spirit of the holiday'. Sure. Once before, Quincy asked his mom if it was okay to send out gifts to random strangers during the holidays. She'd said it was fine. Little did Quincy know, she had misunderstood the general-ness of his question.
So he did: he sent an anonymous Valentines to a random room. It was only two things, either the gift finds it's way to someone and maybe could cheer them up, or it would just get lost somewhere because no one would receive it and no return address. Besides, it was only a card with a handwritten note. And maybe a small package it was attached to. Okay, maybe it was a box that contained a charm bracelet he got from a random trinket store. 'That would probably less strange if it was Christmas,' she told him after finding out he'd sent it.
It took a day to sink in, and Quincy would have easily tried to convince himself that would probably get lost since he was an unlucky loser anyway. That was until a notification came in, telling Quincy that his little present made its way to a recipient.
Which brings him to where he is now. Only, he was hesitating at the last minute if it was okay to take the gift back. After finding what was left of his resolve, he gingerly knocked on the door.
