The small girl looked at the water from afar.. could you blame her for keeping her distance? She had the lovely power of pyrokinesis so she kept her distance from it when she was outside.. You never know when you need to use you power right? And being so close to one of her major weaknesses wasn’t the brightest of ideas really.

She sat on the dirty ground, looking at nothing but the water from the shinning lake. Nina was seventeen but looks wise she was thirteen. Her pale pink and blond hair barely touched her shoulders. She was wearing a pink dress that matched her hair so perfectly.. and it didn’t quite help to her whole adorable little kid look she was pulling off.. Nina might as well put a bow in her hair and call it a day. But as far as she was conerned her looking like she was thirteen didn’t define her. She was ok with looking like that for the most part… although if she had a choice she wouldn’t really want to… but of course there wasn't any way of changing that…

Nina-Kai blinked and fell face first onto the ground. See when Nina wasn’t paying attention or in full control of herself.. something took over her.. her two sides fought for control of “normal Nina”… As Nina blacked out for a while night fell and the moon came out. It seems little Nina-Kai was gone, knocked out for a while.. as to which side was going to take over "normal Nina"... that is yet to be decided.

Nykolas Bane, walked along the lakes edge. Eyes away from the moon and stars, since, he was afraid of light things, and they sometimes hurt his eyes. He hardly took notice of anything, mainly because he was busy, sort of, in his hands was a rubucs cube. He was trying to get the puzzle thing right, but always got something wrong, it was starting to annoy him.

After a moment or two, he made a growl like noise in his throat, and then put it in a pocket of his black jeans. He then noticed the girl, his blue eyes watching her a moment. He silently walked over, wondering why she was out at night. When he got there, he looked at her. She seemed to have been laying a while, and he wondered why.

He crouched down, looking her over a moment before speaking. "You alright?" He asked.

Nina regained control and sat up.. She wiped some of the dirt off her face and looked up at the stranger before her. Of course this wasn’t “normal Nina”.. While she passed out someone else gained control.. one of her split personalities. But luckily it was the “good Nina”… not the other one. “Oh me? I’m fine… great even… “ She said, with a cheerful smile on her face.

It was hard for her to explain any of this… how do you explain split personalities fighting for control over her body? The outgoing one… the shy one and the angry one. Anyway.. who would believe that? It was so strange… so impossible? Well.. I guess it wasn’t for her. It was normal for her… only after the “normal Nina” gained control she wouldn’t be able to remember any of this. That was the way it worked normal-shy Nina couldn’t remember when the others gained control.

"Ummm who are you?" She asked him.

“Oh me? I’m fine… great even… “

He cocked his head. "Thats good..." He merely said, in a calm voice. She then asked who he was, and he supposed he should just answer, as was kind. "I'm Nykolas, most call me Nyk, though." Nyk said, putting a hand on the ground to keep himself balanced on his feet.

"Whats your name?" He asked.

“Nice to meet you..” She said, brushing more dirt off of her she then looked at Nykolas. “I’m Nina-Kai” She said, this with the same smile on her face. It was strange to have one side of her so cheerful and friendly even and the other two sides for anti-social.. but that was her.

“Sorry was I… sleeping?” She asked him, trying to remember anything that happened but she was drawing a blank. She only remembered looking at the lake and then something happened…

OOC: booo short. sorry.

“I’m Nina-Kai”

"Nice name. And, it is a pleasure to meet you." He said politely. Then she asked if she was sleeping, when he saw her, and he shrugged. "I have no idea... I just came over here not to long ago." Nykolas said, not knowing what she was doing. He looked up a moment, but quickly looked away. Like usual, finding the moon and stars scary. Though, he also didn't like the girls blond hair, since he didn't like light colored things.

Nina watched him for a moment and she felt displeasure in something? That probably was her empathy doing it’s work. “Is something.. wrong? Did I do something?” She asked him watching carefully. Something was wrong she could sense it.. or maybe she was picking up the wrong feelings? Nope that couldn’t be it… he was the only one around. Nina put a hand over her head… “I’m sorry I’m asking too many questions…” She said, looking up again.

“Is something.. wrong? Did I do something?”

Once more he cocked his head in question, then shook his head. "No... nothings wrong... I just have a..." He stopped himself. It would sound completely stupid saying that he had a phobia of daylight and the sun, and all light colored things. Oh well, if someone thought him odd, then they can. "I have a fear of bright shiny things... take the moon for instance, and daylight." He said, in a quieter voice.

Being afraid of the sun, would explain for his oddly pale skin, and for light colored things, the all black clothes he wore, explained that.

“Oh…” She said looking down at her clothes… it was pink and her hair was blond and pink and her eyes bright blue… Oh great.. was he like afraid of her? She put her hand in her hair.. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry…” She said, realizing that everything about her was bright… “umm I didn’t know..” Nina said, feeling bad about his fear.. “But that does explain the feeling I got.. I mean… from my empathy.” She told him honestly, figuring that’s all it was, of course it was always hard to figure out anything with her empathy power. Nina-Kai wasn't too good with it.

He shook his head again. "No need to be sorry, you didn't know." He said, though, because of brighter colors, he felt like he wanted to get up and leave, but he was fighting his own fear. There was no sibling around to help him with it, so, he would have to deal with it himself, after all, he was seventeen, and it would seem odd for a older boy not to get over the fears he has all his life.

Nyk stood up, crouching down starting to hurt his legs, so he decided to get up. He stood at his full height, and looked over at the water, but looked away. The moon hung over it, giving the wasters a shimmering look, and the reflection of the moon.
