She shrugged lightly still feeling bad about this whole situation. “Well.. now that I know that… if I come out here again at night.. I’ll remember to wear dark colors.” She said, feeling she annoyed him somehow. “So… do you only come out at night?” She asked, suddenly interested. Nina was still confused about this whole fear… was it really possible? But then.. Nina-Kai knew from her own experiences that a lot of weird things were possible. Like her split personalities and when Nina couldn’t understand something the only thing she wanted was to learn more about that something and for the moment being that something was more of a someone. He was unique to her.. she never heard of a fear of bright things before. It was extrememly different.. and in a way it made her feel better about the secret she was living with.

“So… do you only come out at night?”

Nykolas nodded slightly. "Yeah, except, I normally have to go into the light when I have a class... if only they would put blinds on the windows, I can hardly ever see in the classes." He said. He was always annoyed with the light, and fearing it, he always made sure he got a desk in the darkest corner. In between classes, he hides in his room, that is darker then tonight normally, even in daytime.

"If I were home, I will always be in my room until nightfall." He said, thinking of home a moment.

“Oh really?” Nina said, she was finding all this to be.. well simply fascinating.. She knew the fear wasn’t a good thing but she never heard anything like before. “Have tried to um.. overcome it?” She asked him curiously, thinking her question over again… “Well I suppose you could say you are…” She said answering her own question. “Going to class and stuff…” She said with a nod. “And I think that’s great!” She said overly excited for him.. even though she didn’t even know him she just couldn’t help it. Nina was back to smiling again, “Good Nina” was always so cheerful and happy. Some people find it hard to believe that this girl at a bad side in her. How could she even be capable of anything bad? But it was all too deceiving.

Nina went on with her talking.. it was safe to say “Good Nina” also talked a lot of the time. “You know.. I admire you for that… If it was me… well I’d be hiding somewhere.” She said, remembering that she was doing that earlier this morning when she was "Normal Nina".

"Oh crap... I'm talking too much aren't I?" She asked, hoping she wasn't annoying or anything like that.

He noticed that she talked quite a lot, but somehow, didn't mind much, it wasn't everyday, or night, he talked to someone, especially someone as cheerful as this girl seemed to be.

“Have tried to um.. overcome it?”

He gave a mere nod, though, he shivered slightly. It was hard for him to pull himself from his dark room, to go into the bright light. If there was a day the sun was really bright, then, he would normally freak out, and pale, it would sometimes seem as if he saw a ghost or something.

“Well I suppose you could say you are… Going to class and stuff… And I think that’s great!”

Nyk smiled slightly, and sat down now on the hard ground, folding his legs.

“You know.. I admire you for that… If it was me… well I’d be hiding somewhere.”

He cocked his head to the side a little. "I've never had anyone admire me before... Sometimes, I hide from the daylight, sometimes the moon... in my eyes... its quite frightening..." He said, and a shiver went down his spine. "And, I don't mind that your talking a lot, its not every night I run into someone."

Nina laughed lightly, “I’m sure there’s loads of people that admire you... they probably just never told you.” She said with a nod as if she was positive and absolutely sure of it.

“The moon?” She said, suddenly looking up.. the moon was beautiful.. how could someone just.. fright it? It was kind of sad now that Nina truly thought about it. “well I’m sorry... it’s really pretty once you get over the brightness I guess.” Nina said, finding herself hoping that maybe someday he could find what she saw pretty too rather then frightening like he had said before.

Nina actually found it surprising that he didn’t meet people out here.. this.. creepy-ish school seemed like the place where loads of people would just.. I dunno... come out at night? You know, vampires and all that good stuff. Nina has yet to meet her first vamp or any other creature so far and I suppose you could always say that was a good thing. It wasn’t like Nina was looking for trouble anyway..

“I’m sure there’s loads of people that admire you... they probably just never told you.”

He shrugged. "Possibly." He mumbled, hardly hear able. She leaned back slightly. He should go explore more, since thats what he normally does at night, but since he had to get up in the day, he doesn't have much time to sleep, so he was a little tired, but he would never give up the chance to wander in the night where he felt safer.

“The moon? well I’m sorry... it’s really pretty once you get over the brightness I guess.”

Once more he shrugged. "I always wonder if I'll get over it... as long as I can remember, I've been afraid of daylight, and all bright and light colored things." He said, a bit quieter. He still remember one day, at home, when he went out into the sun, and well, you could say he fainted from fright of it, it was to bright for him, to light colored, that was a very frightening thing for him.

"How do you like this school?" He just suddenly asked.

He most have missed out on a lot… Nina though feeling bad for him again, She couldn’t imagine being a kid and not being able to go outside in the sun time and play with other kids. “It must have been lonely....” She said with less cheer in her voice. “Your... childhood I mean.” She explained quietly, thinking about her own childhood.. hers was lonely too. Even though she had her siblings.. Nina had always been too shy and all she could really remember was her playing by herself.

Nina shrugged at the question, "It’s... different." She said, to be honest Nina hadn’t really formed any opinion of the school yet... see, this was the first time that Nina’s another personality had control and all "Normal Nina" did was hide because she was far too afraid of everything and everyone.. even herself. "Normal Nina" was far different for bother of her other sides. "I've never been to a school like this before... my brother sent me.." She said then mumbled, "And he had good reason too..."

His childhood? Yes, it was quite lonely for him, but he didn't mind much, his brother Fury and him always got along, she he often played with him, though, Fury always had a bad temper. He nodded slightly. "You can say it was a bit lonely, but I never mind much, I had a brother to play with me." He said.

"It is different." He whispered. Then looked up. She had a brother also, but then, he turned over to wonder why she was here, and what her power was. "What is your power? I assume you have one, since your here." He asked, a bit curious.

Back to being cheerful as ever she replied, “Yup, yup! Course I have one…” She said, picking up at leaf from the ground and tossing it in the air as the leaf began to fall back down it suddenly sparked and eventually caught on fire. As it was near the ground Nina’s fixed her eyes on the leaf.. suddenly the fire was gone. Nina did all of this simply with pure mind concentration. “Oh and I have that empathy power....” Nina said, dismissing it as not useful. “What’s yours?” She said barely containing herself. Nina assumed it had to be something good.

Nina put her hand over her head.. she could feel something happening... something changing inside her. It was hard to resist it.. could she even try? It wasn’t likely... she was always fighting for control.. it was never an easy fight.

The girl’s eyes began to roll back as she fall again face first onto the hard dirt ground. It was a shame really.. just when she was starting to get along with someone..

He watched as she demonstrated her power, he was amazed, it was a nice power, well, he thought so, and it was quite similar to what his was, in a why, since his was making things explode. "Thats a really neat power. And the empathy, that most be handy for some things." Nykolas said.

“What’s yours?”

"Mine is sort of similar, I can make things explode." He said, and with that, a small rock nearby, exploding, with a loud crack, and it falling apart. He liked his power, it was handy for him, espeicially to unlock things.

He looked over at Nina, and eyes went wide when she suddenly fell over. He got to his knees, and turned her over, so her face wasn't in the dirt, and stared at her, no idea what had happened to her.
