Cheeto found herself suddenly lampless as a massive storm of scales rushed past her. The shock of an actual dragon rushing her was enough to put the poor little goblin into shock. When it started to sink in that she had not only had her lamp stolen but that it also seems to have cause quite a fuss. Some of those 'treasure hunters' were accosting the dragon for its choice, for the audacity of its actions... Huh, so much trouble over that lantern. It was an elven lantern dug out from the underground, though.
Cheeto found herself walking quietly over to the dragon as it was hassled, quite an odd sight, really. Ever since she came to the academy, she could never get used to situations like this. Humans were weird enough, so tall and awkward. This was a real dragon, and people were chastising it as though it couldn't cook the meat on their bones with its very breath. Yet there he was. He must've been young, because dragons were always humongous or from the island of Komodo. She moved past the young woman accosting the dragon for going after the lantern and the young man apologizing for the dragon, heading over to the magnificent reptile and moving until she could get close to his field of vision.
"C-Can I have my lantern back? Its only an old elven thing but I really like it, I found it underground the city near here." Her voice was a little shaky, but still came out as raspy as always. Cheeto's hands crept slowly until her long fingers could start to wrap around the lantern. She made no effort to pull it away from the dragon but she didn't let go, it was hers after all.
