"Hi, I'm Victor." He pointed his thumb over his shoulder towards Alexei. "That's Alexei."

Victor was a little surprised at how quickly he was asked about his power. Before he came to Manta Carlos, he never would've spoken of his power so casually. "My power isn't quite that supernatural as say, a Werewolf. but it can be useful. I control Time."

"That's so cool." Jake was going to ask what the future was like and if he could travel back to the time dinosaurs were around but he figured that would be way too many questions. "Well, I am a werewolf but i have it totally under control so you have nothing to worry about." He gave Victor a reassuring smile, though he didn't seem fully convinced.

"So you're from Australia? I've always wanted to go but this is actually my first time out of England."

It was obvious what Jake was thinking, but his power didn't work like that. It annoyed him how he could only change the speed. "Before you fill your head with ideas of time travel, I can only alter the speed. Basically, I have glorified Super-speed."

Being a werewolf worried him, though, could Jake bite and infect them? Sure, he can rewind that incident, but would it get rid of the infection?

He didn't like Jake's last comment. The only mention of Australia was a bit before the boy entered the room. "When did you hear I'm from Australia?"

Jake realized that he was staring whilst thinking about Victor's abilities, so he stopped whilst the extent of his powers was clarified.
"I didn't. I just sort of guessed from your accent." Jake wasn't sure if this was a touchy subject so he decided to change it. "Are they serving food?" he sniffed. "I'm starving! I haven't eaten all day."

"There is food in the fridge, saw it there earlier." He gestured towards the fridge. "Help yourself."

He walked down to his room, to unpack his suitcase and set up his computer. It would take him a few hours to finish, and unfortunately, his time control can't speed up the initial boot sequence.

Leaving it to load, he went back down to the kitchen where the other two were assembled. Something was bugging him.
"So, Jake. When you said that you had your Lycanthropy under control, what did you mean by that?"

Jake walked over to the fridge and pulled out a can of fizzy drink, made a ham sandwich and offered one to Alexei. He sat down and began to eat when Victor returned from his computer.

"What I meant was that I wouldn't rip your head off. I control the wolf, not the other way around," he explained as he went back to eating his sandwich. "You want one?" he asked Victor, pointing to his lunch.

Seeing Jake with a can of soft drink, he went and got one himself. Sitting down on the opposite end of the table to him, Victor thought about Jake's power/curse.
"Wouldn't you be a pubescent shapeshifter then? As you can control it, but not when it happens. And no to the sandwich, not really hungry at the moment."

He took a sip. "Other than music, what hobbies do you have?"

"Erm... note to self, need a dictionary. I control when it happens and what i do once i shift. Although, I have to shift on a full moon, I can't stop it." He stood up and washed his plate in the sink. How did he ... oh, the guitar. "Well, I read sometimes, I do a bit of martial arts and I love running. Especially on the day before the full moon. What about you?" Jake pointed over to Victor's computer. "Gaming?"

"Do you mean I need a dictionary, or do you? If me, that's rude." Being new to long conversations, he is often confused by an unfamiliar person speech-type. "It makes sense, though."

He followed the direction of jake's hand down the hall, into his room where his computer was visible. "Mostly retro and MMOs. I also read and run." He sang as well, but that was only when time was frozen, and no-one can hear him.

"No no no, I was talking about me. Big words confuse me." He hoped he hadn't offended him after five minutes. He listened to Victor talk about his hobbies, Jake asked for a computer for years but he never got one. "I've never actually played on an online game before, apart from mario cart that we had on the wii at my care home."
