New Room, New Beginnings?

The girl walked slowly through the third level of the girls dorm building. She had requested another room a while back and was finally about to move into her new room. She carried everything that was in her old room behind her. A desk chair, mattress, bedding, pencils and pens and other school needed materials like books. They all floated behind her somewhat haphazardly but within the confines of the hallway.

Bell's hair completely covered her eyes as usual and the small bells at her waist and on her ears let out soft sounds as she walked. She kept moving her head side to side, nervously trying to keep calm. But that was easier said than done.

She trembled at the thought of the others in the hall. What if they don't like me? What if I'm picked on? I don't want to have an experience like last time. What...eek!

Something scuttled across her feet when she wasn't looking and she fell, the floating amenities falling to the ground with a crash. Her hair fell out of the way and her eyes, blind to the world, were visible. Tears fell from them and she sat there in the middle of the hallway, crying softly. She didn't deserve the abuse from others. Nobody did. But for her it was magnified. Or at least her mindset had made it seem that way. The bells on her ears rang softly, alerting her to a person or thing approaching, but she didn't hear it.

<div align=center>This was the third time today that Dee Dee had lost the little white ball of fur she knew as 'Ezra,' he'd bitten her and scrambled out from the sleeve of her jumper, skittering down the hall and turning a corner as fast as he could. She cursed under her breath, and frowned, at least she knew he'd be safe, or at least, she hoped he would be. A sound met Dee Dee's ears, they flicked up on the top of her head, listening intently. She forgot about her pet all of a sudden, and was more curious about the source of the noise. She paused mid stride, and stared down the hallway at what looked like a girl. Ah, the culprit. She thought, though a concerned look crossed her features as she drew close to her, Dee wasn't really one for offering comfort, but the poor girl sounded so distressed that...

"Are you alright?" She asked softly, curiously, her left ear twitching just a little, there was something about this girl that seemed strange, the first thing Dee Dee noticed was the odd way she was dressed, though she supposed she'd seen stranger, there were some odd things that went on at the school. The silver haired girl's eyes flickered to meet the new girl's, she blinked, she's blind. She noted, recognizing the silver haze that clouded them over. She studied the girl, she hadn't seen her before, at least she didn't think she had. She was pretty, Dee noted, her brow furrowed. "You need some help?" </div>

Flayace was happy that she had finally gotten a room. She wanted nothing more but to have some good, unique and honest roommates. She quickly walked to the floor she was on, but saw that there was a girl on the floor, with another girl hovering over her. She closed her eyes, and let her power guide her to them. She wanted to make sure that before she joined, she could see if she could help out, or maybe get to know someone. 'You need some help?' That is all the girl with the silver hair said. Okay, May as well try, right? she thought. SHe walked forward and said the same thing.

And so the story begins...

"Classy place...why couldn't I have gone here instead?"

Especially considering the school that she was now teaching at actually existed during her younger years. While she hadn't aged much in that time frame, her mind had and...well, she had a private apartment that she didn't have to share with other students. Not that she wouldn't mind the company of someone else around, but then again, there was almost no doubt that someone would get tired of her at some point.

Peering at one of her watches that had stopped, Aurora frowned, laying it back down at her side. No doubt that one of the gears had popped loose, or some other bit had gone a little haywire. No matter. That could be fixed after she got to peer into one of the rooms, which just happened to be almost as nice as her apartment.

Almost.

Chalk up the niceness factor to a reasonable salary for teaching, unlike those cheapskates in the US. Mind you, material goods weren't everything, but even a mage who craved knowledge over money wanted to live reasonably well off doing what they loved.

"Well then, lesson pl--"

A crashing noise, and suddenly this whole trip became all the more fun, at least, until the blonde found a small group of kids attempting to console someone that appeared to have tripped and fallen, or so she assumed. And an interesting group it was too. The supernatural. Cooperating. Thirteen thought she would never see the day...and a smile flickered slightly just thinking about it. Oh what the hell, teachers were supposed to make sure students were comfortable right?

"Excuse me, is everything okay here?"

"Are you alright?"

Alyssa's mouth opened and she squeaked in fear, jumping back and looking in the direction of the person. She touched the ground with her feet and felt the build of the person. A girl...no...two girls now. She looked up at both of them and smiled weakly.

"N-no...I-I-I'm f-fine." She started to stand, but fell again because she ended up stepping on her pants which brought her back down. "Owww..." She was about to cry again, but would let herself...oh who was she kidding? She would end up crying anyways. She whimpered as she got up and felt a...breeze on her eyes. Her mouth warped a bit, trying to hold in a cry as she felt that her hair had moved away from covering her eyes.

She moved all of her hair back into place so her eyes didn't show and looked at them as she heard a voice and saw another female join. Though she seemed different. This girl seemed like she was older, wiser, and had some authority. She calmed herself down and looked at the three of them.

"I-I-I could u-use some h-help m-mo-moving i-in." She pointed down the hall. "I-i'm in r-r-room 343." A few of the heavier objects levitated and she looked at the others. "P-p-please?"

<div align=center>Dee Dee turned her head to the new person and blinked, she didn't say anything to her, she didn't know her, though she seemed nice enough. Another turned up a moment later, this time she recognized the woman as a teacher, though she couldn't have told you what her name was, Dee wasn't all that good with things like that. "Apologies, ma'am." She returned, meeting Aurora's eye, though it was probably likely Dee wouldn't go to class anyway, she didn't feel like it today, she'd rather goof off and go and find some first years to mess with. "Just helping out a student in need."

Though Dee Dee was never really any help, with anything. No matter how hard she tried she just made things worse most of the time, people often got angry with her for it, whether she meant to make things worse or not. In this situation however, she was feeling like a good Samaritan, help moving in? That sounds simple enough. Dee tipped her head to one side, one ear aeroplaning off to the side. "Help?" She chirped, "I'm great at helping!" She clasped her hands together, her tail sticking out behind her. Dee felt sorry for this new girl, she seemed so frightened, there was no reason to be frightened.</div>

"I'm new here too." Flayace said looking at the group. For a second, she began to feel sad, sad that she would be of any help. The straight A student girl, the almost always miss good two toes. She quickly put a. Smile in her face so no one noticed.
"I'll help you too, I'm good at carrying things." She pointed at her backpack and books in her arms. She then remembers that the girl was blind, and stopped. "I'll carry stuff for you." She said with a smile.

Help moving in huh? Well that wasn't too hard, especially given that most of the girls things were already floating around like the gravity had been otherwise turned off. Some things on the other hand looked like they had taken a slight beating from being dropped, but nothing that good packing wouldn't have easily handled.

"The good news is you're close if I remember right."

Aurora waited until at least a few of the boxes had been picked up, then leaned over to take her bit of the share. At the same, certain thoughts ran through her head as she looked around the room. No paradox? It had to be the school. The school's paradigm was something off of the world's beaten path. Everyone here was a supernatural in some way, which warded off the normal problems dealing with paradox. Other than the purity of Horizon and Concordia, this school was as close to magical purity as it got on Earth.

"So, tell me about yourselves. I think most of you are new here, right?"

Alyssa smiled a bit and picked up some of the things she hadn't gotten with her telekinesis. She handed a few of them to Dee and then noticed that the other girl was pointing to her books and her backpack. Then she heard the girl say that she would carry her stuff for her. "Th-thank y-you...ummm...wh-what is y-your n-n-name?" she said as she took her backpack off and handed her backpack and books to the girl.

She looked at the third woman and nodded. "I-I ju-just p-p-passed r-room three th-thirty f-fi-five. S-shouldn't b-be f-far." She cautiously walked over to them, her heavier things floating behind her. "I-i'm A-Alyssa. E-everyone calls m-me B-bell t-th-though.

I-I-I use te-telekinesis a-and h-have enhanced s-senses of h-h-hearing a-and t-t-touch. Th-that's h-how I-i can s-s-see y-you. I g-g-got m-moved f-from another f-floor b-b-because I couldn't s-st-stand the ab-ab-abuse a-any l-longer."

She was on the verge of tears again as she remembered the abuse she had been through to even be moving to another part of the dorms.

<div align=center>"Dee Dee," the girl answered, taking some of Alyssa's things for her. She didn't mind carrying things, and the fox girl liked to feel helpful. She could be spiteful at times, but all in all she was friendly. She peaked sideways over the pile of books she was now carrying, Alyssa, she noted as the girl spoke her name, that's a pretty name. One of her ears twitched, she didn't say anything at risk of making the situation awkward. "you can call me Dee," she continued, nodding once. Most people knew her as Dee. She stumbled a little in her distraction, though didn't fall.

The girl's brow furrowed, she couldn't understand fully why anyone would feel the need to abuse the girl, there was nothing wrong with her aside from her disability, though that wasn't a reason to be nasty to her. She felt sorry for the girl, and it was rare Dee experienced sympathy, it was an emotion a little foreign to her. She glanced up to Aurora, "new?" She chirped, shaking her head as she spoke, "not me." She'd been here for a little while, and she knew the building well. Though she thought the woman was right about the other two, Dee Dee didn't recall seeing them before now.</div>
