Kotah shrugged as she held his hand. "It used to. I mean, it still kinda does, but I'm used to it. It just feels really... weird, as I'm sure you can imagine." His ear twitched as the timer went off on the oven. He glanced at Enelya. "Well, it smells good."

Enelya reached for a napkin, licked it, and rubbed the remaining blood smeared on his hand. She sighed, and shook her head unapproving. "Just... Be safe." She might not agree with it, but she accepted it. It was his way of life, and who was she to tell him to change? She tossed the napkin aside, and went over to the oven, smelling the cooked food. She pulled on some mits, and took the pan out, it steaming, and placed it on the counter. She grinned, almost forgetting about Kotah's hand slicing. Enelya waved her hand around to blow it off a bit, and giggled. "I love the smell of freshly cooked food."

Kotah shrugged. "Is there any way I wouldn't be? Besides, this isn't for me. It's for... I dunno. Other people. On my way back, for some pocket money, I served as a sort of guard on the dangerous roads. And even got some spare change teaching people how to fight without smacking themselves in the eye." He smiled as she pulled her food from the oven. He missed the days he could actually eat these kinds of things. It made him rather depressed, always being reminded he had to kill game and bleed it dry. Well, maybe not depressed thanks to Serke, but definately uncomfortable.

Enelya looked up at him, and smirked playfully. She gave him a menacing look, and shook her head. "Just because your jealous that I can eat this wonderful food, doesn't mean you should take it away from me!" She grabbed a nearby fork, and stuck it into the enchiladas, pulling it back towards her, sticking the mass of melted cheese on the fork into her mouth.

She then raised an eyebrow, and titled her head. "What about your journey, Kotah? Did you find what you were looking for?" She hoped he did, for if he hadn't, then their separation would all be folly, and she didn't want that. She had missed him terribly, and hoped that some good came from such a trip.

Kotah chewed on a lip, unsure how to answer her question. Thoughts traced all the way back to when he first left, drifting on to the floating isle and what he believed to be simply an illusion or some distant dimention of possibilities. To this day, he still wonders who Serke really beat up on those training grounds. "Did I find what I was looking for? Probably. I found a lot of things. What you should ask if I was satisfied with what I found. Not really. More questions remain, but I believe Serke is comfortable with leaving things as they are back... wherever it was we left. Then again, Serke is comfortable with a lot of things."

His eyes shifted into a maroon.

"No use sweating what you can't change." He shrugged slightly. "People need to chill more. Especially you two."

Enelya stuck her fork into her enchiladas, and munched on the deliciously spiced vegetables, and sauce. She listened to Kotah speak, and wondered if his journey had accomplished anything but make life more complicated for the both of them. But Enelya was more worried for him. After finishing a bite, she raised an eyebrow, and waved her fork around, as if to emphasize her words. “So, then… What now?” She stuck the fork into the enchiladas, twisting cheese and tortilla around it before sticking it into her mouth again, waiting for a response, only to see Serke telling her she needed to chill.

She playfully glared at him, and laughed. “Well, on the contrary, things are still the same around here. I tried to teach a Herbology class, but no body seems to care about plants around here… Except for one girl. Though she only showed up for one class.” Enelya stared at the shining counter top, trying to figure out whatever came of that girl. She was sweet, and seemed like she needed a friend… Her mother was a sore subject too.

Enelya shrugged, and set the fork down, and jumped on top of the counter, sitting on it. She crossed her legs, and smiled at Kotah. “It’s good to have you back, Kotah.”
