Of course that girl had to say the male could sit there. She narrowed her eyes toward him as he sat down, somewhat annoyed by the new presence, but oh well. Maybe she would get a chance to make fun of him.

"Oh I never said I wanted you to break your neck. It would just shut you up real quick is all."

Adelina tried her best not to smirk. "Maybe it would, maybe it wouldn't," she said to the girls comment that falling down some stairs would get her to shut up. With her personality, it most likely wouldn't.

Even if she didn't care, she was glad that Jolin had finally answered her question. So she had been right, the girl was new. She merely nodded, and when asked what she wanted, the young woman shrugged her shoulders. "Nothing, really," she said. "I'm just bored, mostly."

She looked between the two of them. Chester and Jolin, alright. She would probably remember that, seeing as how she was good with names. She found no need to make her own name known, so she didn't say anything about it. She couldn't help but smirk when Jolin sort of said she didn't have any manners, but shrugged once again. "I have manners," she said. "I just don't feel like using them right now, but hey ,if you want me to be nice, I suppose I could try."

Jolin smiled when the girl said she was bored.

"Oh, is that all?"

Jolin had learned months ago that her abilities could be used quite well for entertainment purposes. She looked down at her tray and decided she would use the salad. She looked at it for a moment, and the leaves of lettuce turned all the colors of the rainbow, and the other vegetable turned everything from flourescent green to white with black stripes.

She smiled again. She hadn't done it to impress the girl, it was more for the fact that she herself was bored. She also made her own hair go white, and then rainbow striped.

"Oh no, I wouldn't ask you to use your manners when you don't want to, especially with me. I was just wondering if you had any."

An eyebrow raised somewhat when she heard what the girl said next. Adelina blinked when the food started turning different colors, supposing that was another one of the girls powers. It made sense, after all. So she could change the color of things, and do something else that would allow her to somehow figure out she was pregnant. When Jolin's own hair color changed, the seventeen-year-old decided to ask. "So, I take it you can change the color of things? I'm an ice elementalist myself."

"Oh no, I wouldn't ask you to use your manners when you don't want to, especially with me. I was just wondering if you had any."

Adelina shrugged. Well, if she didn't want her to actually be nice, then she supposed there was no point in changing her attitude. "If you're sure," was all she said.

Jolin thought about the girl's question for a moment.
"Changing the colors of things is only part of it. I can alter the shape and appearance of all living things, and stuff like eggs and fruit that's been picked, even though they're not really alive. And as for knowing you were pregnant, it's because I can talk with all living things. However, your baby's voice is nothing but a murmer. It can't actually talk yet, not even to me."

She took a bite of her salad, which was still randomly colored and patterend. "An ice elementalist..." she thought to herself. She shrugged.

"Well you can be nice if you want, but it's not necessary. I can handle you just fine like this." she answered the other girl.

Adelina nodded now. "I see," she said. The girls power sounded interesting, though she didn't feel like admitting it. And it made sense that she had been able to hear her child, since she was able to talk to all living things.

"Well you can be nice if you want, but it's not necessary. I can handle you just fine like this."

The young woman shrugged. "Eh, I suppose I'll try and be nice. I don't feel like picking on you anymore." She took another bite of her cake, wondering if she should, in fact, introduce herself. Well, it would only be polite, right? "I'm Adelina, Addie or Lina for short, by the way."

Jolin was relieved that the girl was going to be nicer. She was tired of being so defensive. She tried not to let her relief show.

"Well as I'm sure you heard me say, my name is Jolin."

Jolin wasn't really sure what to say after that, she paused for a moment and blushed as an uncomfortable silence settled in.

Adelina nodded. "Yeah, I heard you say it before. Even so.... um, yeah, I guess it's nice to meet you," she said, offering a small smile. She took another few bites of her food, not really minding the silence, but noticing that Jolin did. The younger female wouldn't have blushed if she didn't, right? Or maybe it was just because it was a somewhat uncomfortable silence that made her blush. Either way, the seventeen-year-old supposed it was up to her to start a new conversation.

"So," she began, "do you have any siblings?" Alright, so maybe it wasn't the most genius topic, but oh, well.

Jolin nodded at the question.

"Yes. Two older sisters. And you?" she asked the older girl. She let her salad's color return to normal and she began to munch on it slowly. She didn't feel quite as uncomfortable around the girl now, since she had stopped being so intimidating.

Adelina smiled. "So you're the youngest, huh?" she asked, just wanting make sure, even though it was kind of more of a statement than a question. "And I have one younger sister, she comes here too. She's about your age, actually."

"So, how long did you say you've been here?" she asked, forgetting if it had been mentioned or not.

Jolin nodded at Adelina's sort-of question.

"Yeah, I'm the youngest. And the smartest too." she added half-jokingly.

"This is my first day actually. It's been going by pretty slowly, but at least nothing too horrible has happened."
