While Iaemor wasn't the greatest romantic in the world. He had shown that up to now he could fake it quite well. It was the early morning of Valentines day, and the previous day had been quite a long one. Cairo was still in hospital, but he had to leave in order to sate his hunger. He didn't want to hold out to long, ending up losing control and hurting her. Though Iaemor had not let the fact he had to leave her bedside go to waste. Meeting up with a few of his servants and getting them track down one of the few pieces of writing from this world he had read since getting here. He had also joined the search and had shocking managed to find what he was after in the city underground, in an ancient looking book shop.
Slipping into the hospital room Cairo was kept in. He made sure to move as gracefully as he could so as not to wake her. A somewhat difficult task due to the fact he was juggling multiple items in his arms. In amazing quietness, Iaemor placed down a small vase with a little water in it. Down on the side table and placed a single rose into it. Afterwards he placed a large wrapped packet next to it. Inside a original version of 'The Raven by Edgar Allen Poe' and illustrated by Gustave Doré. It was large, and old. Also exceedingly rare. Lastly he placed down a valentines day card onto of the book package. Before silently slipping out of the room just as he had entered. Loitering by the door, so that he could watch over her and hopefully catch her reaction to the gifts.
Inside the card, referencing the book he had given her. The book that had helped him in writing that first poem to her. It read as follows.
'My Dear Raven.
Happy Valentines Day, and wishes to you getting well soon.
While I may not be at you bedside when you wake. I promise you.
You will be alone nevermore.
Iaemor.'
