Height Comparison

Nero is an average early generation Savannah cat. His coat is tawny and spotted like a leopards. His legs and ears are longer than an average cats. His coat is sleek and shines against the light. He takes excellent care of his personal hygiene.

The only abnormal thing about Nero is his eyes, which are the same as his master's. Rather than his left eye being gold, however, it is blue. It is as if Keira and Nero share eyes.

Nero is more pessimistic than his owner. He is wary around people and is always on high alert when walking around outside. He is fiercely protective of both Keira and Kuro and can almost always be found around his owner, Keira. Having grown up with the two of them since they were thirteen, he has acted as their eyes and their ears.

During his younger years, he was much more free spirited, but since then he has seen the worst of people and is always bickering with Keira for her optimism. He is slow to trust people.

Like Keira, Nero is driven and has a love for reading, music and knowledge. He shares her passion and motivation to teach those around him, whether they be human or animal.

While Nero can't speak to anyone but Keira (and other animals), he is a keen communicator. His intelligence allows him to communicate in ways most animals would not be able to, such as understanding human body language and drawing or pointing to things. He doesn't always make the effort to speak with other people beyond Keira and Kuro, but he can.

Despite his intellect, Nero is still plagued by his instinctual desires. His need to hunt or the inquisitive nature that is so prominent in the Savannah cats. His desire to rest on high objects or claw things.

Keira Couvillion

Master/Friend. Keira is Nero’s master. Because of his intelligence, they are friends, just as two humans might be. They get along very well and you won’t usually find one without the other.

Kuro Couvillion

Family/Friend. Despite not being able to speak with Kuro like Nero can with Keira, they are still extremely close. Nero would die for Kuro and frequently spends time with him when they’re both home.

IMPRINT:

♦ Superior Intelligence (passive): The fnerone has human intelligence, capable of foresight and complex thoughts. Like any human, it can formulate plans and understand what people are saying.

♦ Mental Link (passive): Keira and her imprint have a mental and emotional bond. Capable of linking visual images to each other and sharing thoughts. This cannot be turned off. While Keira and her companion can feel different emotions and like/dislike different people, their emotions are hard to differentiate from each other, because they are so in-tune. This link is broken when they are 100 miles from each other, but becomes uncomfortable for the both of them at 11 miles. For comforts sake, they’re always 10 miles or less from each other, if they can help it. The farther apart they are, the more strained their communication is, until it’s near impossible to hear or feel one and other.

♦ Nine Lives (passive): Not only does Keira’s companion get nine lives before they officially die, they are able to live naturally for the span of a human life, making it possible for her to have one companion her entire life.

Nero was rescued by Keira and Kuro when they were thirteen years old. Nero was still a kitten then, and being sold on a black market for exotic animals. To save him, Keira imprinted with him just as he took his final breath.

Since then he has followed them closely and kept them safe best he could. It's no surprise the cat came to Manta Carlos with Keira and her brother.
