“Only felines were better than humans at sarcasm.” ― Gavin G. Smith, The Age of Scorpio

Keira is fair-skinned and her platinum (almost white) blonde hair furthers the fairy-like look she possesses. The thing people might notice first about her is her two different colored eyes. One is a light shade of blue while the other is a piercing, predatory gold. It might be intimidating if she didn’t always looks so friendly and harmless. Her body closely resembles a feline, with long legs and a gently curved waist. Her hips are just a tad bigger than her breasts, giving her a more pear-like figure.

The second abnormal thing about her is her white tail. She has a tendency to keep it wrapped around her waist like a belt, but when it isn't, one might notice at its halfway point is a long, thick scar that circles the entirety of her tail. On the scar, no hair grows, so it is very noticeable.

Keira fancies any of the latest styles. At her heart, though, she's a very modest woman, so don't expect to see her wearing any revealing or expensive clothing. No matter what she wears, Keira always comes off looking like the girl next door. That could be a good or bad thing, depending on the way you look at it, but Keira wouldn't be surprised if you told her she reminded you of your sister. She's gotten that a lot.
“The only way to find true happiness is to risk being completely cut open.” ― Chuck Palahniuk, Invisible Monsters

Keira is a friendly, exuberant, and hopeful woman. Some might even call her idealistic, and indeed, Keira is willfully ignorant to the bad in people. She believes everyone must have some good in them to function; to her, nothing is purely good or evil.

She is remarkably nurturing to everyone around her, and it’s not hard to get her to help someone. Keira would give the shirt off her back if she could. She doesn’t get frustrated or angry easily and is too quick to forgive, because of this, she has the tendency to be people’s doormat.

Beyond her kindness, Keira is a driven young woman. She reaches for her goals and goes for them again and again until she makes leeway, no matter how many times she fails. It’s not that she doesn’t feel the sting of failure of embarrassment, but Keira refuses to give into the negativity of the world.

All the badness in her life that she has experienced has only furthered her will to be the best person she can. Even understanding that trust, forgiveness, and kindness are gateways for people to hurt her mentally, emotionally, and physically, Keira will never cease trying to be as understanding as possible. She is the kind of girl who would give someone money even when she knew they were using her simply because one day they may really need it. Everyone gets the benefit of the doubt with her. Don't think her a fool, though; Keira is fully capable of understanding when someone is cruel to her or using her, she just doesn't care. She's willing to be the wall they punch if it makes them feel better.

While Keira is intelligent and dedicated, she's not particularly the best at anything, but what she lacks in skill and experience she makes up for her in stubbornness. She will never give up. She will never stop.

While she is hard to anger, that isn't to say she can't be. Keira isn't violent or even scary when she is mad, but it's in the genuine admittance of the hurt you've caused that tends to break people. She has no desire to say something for the purpose of hurting someone, but that isn't to say she won't tell you all those little things about yourself that you're covering up with your harshness.
“Happiness is a risk. If you’re not a little scared, then you’re not doing it right.” ― Sarah Addison Allen, The Peach Keeper

Kuro Couvillion
Brother/Best Friend.
Despite that Keira and her twin brother Kuro are very different, they get along well. Both near opposites in personality, they push each other and protect each other.
Nero Couvillion
Companion/Friend.
Nero is Keira’s pet savannah cat. Because of his intelligence, they are friends, just as two humans might be. They get along very well and you won’t usually find one without the other.

“I like the night. Without the dark, we'd never see the stars.” ― Stephenie Meyer, Twilight

SCHRODINGER’S CAT: ♦ Teleportation: Teleportation: With this ability the twins can teleport between unobserved points. Technically, in the moment no one is staring at them they both exists and do not exist in all unseen locations. Being observed it limited to anyone but themselves (IE: one twin staring at another does not stop them from using their abilities), but they cannot teleport while in sight of automated surveillance (cameras etc.).

When teleporting the twins teleport to a random recently visited (within the week) location, though they are more likely to end up in a places they've visited more often in that week. They cannot choose where they teleport. They may also not teleport when bound by anything (Ie: tied up or in handcuffs). They may only teleport once every two hours.

♦ Unobserved Healing (passive): While not being observed the twins can heal their wounds at a 15% faster rate than normal humans. If they haven’t finished healing 100% when someone looks at them, they immediately revert back to how wounded they were before they were originally unobserved.

This power also allows them to revive. When killed and unobserved, the twins will teleport to a random location they had visited recently and revive. They will be weakened, in constant pain, and have trouble focusing or functioning for up to a week afterward. This power always has the tendency to give them odd, adverse effects, such as stuttering, or trouble with depth perception. These negative effects don't add onto each other, rather they change with every new death faced and are kept until the next death occurs.

♦ Accelerated Probability: Using this ability, the twins are capable of foreseeing possible outcomes to the choices they make. They then can choose what they feel would be the best course of action. However, even when predicting how to get a certain outcome, that doesn't always guarantee success, as the twins only have one chance to get things right. They can only see the short-term effect (the immediate effect, no effect beyond an hour will be known) for one set of outcomes at a time and when using this ability too frequently they get the black box effect (seen below).
FELINE SCRYING: ♦ Imprinting: Keira has the power to imprint with one feline at a time. The imprint cannot be broken until the cat is officially dead. Imprinting with a creature gives it certain abilities, such as:
Superior Intelligence (passive): The feline has human intelligence, capable of foresight and complex thoughts. Like any human, it can formulate plans and understand what people are saying.

Mental Link (passive): Keira and her imprint have a mental and emotional bond. Capable of linking visual images to each other and sharing thoughts. This cannot be turned off. While Keira and her companion can feel different emotions and like/dislike different people, their emotions are hard to differentiate from each other, because they are so in-tune. This link is broken when they are 100 miles from each other, but becomes uncomfortable for the both of them at 11 miles. For comforts sake, they’re always 10 miles or less from each other, if they can help it. The farther apart they are, the more strained their communication is, until it’s near impossible to hear or feel one and other.

Nine Lives (passive): Not only does Keira’s companion get nine lives before they officially die, they are able to live naturally for the span of a human life, making it possible for her to have one companion her entire life.

♦ Sensory Scrying: With this ability Keira is able to see through the eyes of her companion. Using her empathic and telepathic bond with her companion, she can influence them, but does not control them. She cannot use this on any other animal beyond her imprinted one. While using this ability she is in a vulnerable state, not passed out, but her eyes are closed and she doesn’t tend to notice anyone around her unless they’re right beside her.
WEAKNESSES: ♦ Black Box Effect: The black box effect is when the twins have used their accelerated probability too much. With this downside, they are given false information when trying to see the outcome of their events, leading the best options to be their worst option. There is no tell for when this is happening and it is abrupt. It's duration heavily depends on how much the twins have used their accelerated probability power. At its best, it has lasted only two days and at its worse it has lasted two weeks.

♦ Limbo State: When not being viewed by anyone, the twins are in a limbo state of existence and non-existence. This is a cold, lonely feeling, as though one is about to completely disappear. It has the tendency to cause panic attacks and make the person in limbo feel extremely cold. During limbo state, they’re not fully present or gone.

Species Abilities: Certain traits of cats apply to her, such as near perfect night vision and the ability to land on her feet from most falls. She also has above average agility and speed compared to a normal human.
“I feel no need for any other faith than my faith in the kindness of human beings. I am so absorbed in the wonder of earth and the life upon it that I cannot think of heaven and angels.” ― Pearl S. Buck

Coldness. Death. Something in between. A constant battle.

It began in an alley, with two young children clinging to each other for warmth. It was hard, but at least, they had each other. At least, they were alive.

Kuro and Keira were your typical street urchins; stealing, pickpocketing, and whatever else it took to survive. With only each other to rely on. Being such a tender young age, though, they couldn't exactly stand up to an angry shopkeep or a threatening adult. Despite their best efforts, and despite Kuro's refusal to back down, they were just children in a world made for adults. For the strong.

At age six, a crazed, and desperate man wanted the food they had stolen for themselves. Knife in hand, he wasn't taking no for an answer.

Death. It should have ended there. In the serene emptiness, with a bright light and a final, warm feeling of comfort. But it didn't.

Coldness. A subtle pain in the throat, where a nasty gash should have been but wasn't. Life. Or something like it. They had died, but they were back? That chill that settled in their bones, somehow let them know they weren't completely there, that was magic. It became clear then. They were something right out of a fairytale.

By age eight, they had discovered their ability to see the outcome of their decisions. As kids in a world where adults pushed them around, where no one rose a finger to help them, they used this endlessly; testing the limits, helping themselves getting everything they could. In the first week, they had managed to steal enough food to fill their bellies for the first time they could remember, trick hotels into letting them stay rent-free, and even manage to grab a wallet with $200 in it. More money than either had ever seen in their entire young lives.

But all good things come to an end, as they found out by the end of the week. Black Box. When all their luck reversed. First, the hotel kicked them out, then Kuro tripped and fell into a lineup of motorcycles outside of a dive bar. The gang that owned them were not okay with calling it an accident and chased down the children. They were soon cornered. Kuro stood in front of Keira, a foolish and hopeless attempt to keep them all back.-- From his wrath came a blue flame. The men who weren't caught up in the inferno ran for their lives. Next, he doubled forward, blood gushing from his eye. Keira screamed, leaped to help him. Then everything stopped. He collapsed.

Something in between. Limbo. It was limbo, and it was worse than death. Colder. Emptier. Hopeless.

Sometimes, happiness has a way of finding you without luck magic. Those good changes came in similar timeframes. The first of which was finding Nero, a Savannah kitten being sold on the black market. Keira had decided they needed to rescue the creature, which was severely malnourished and on the cusp of death it had been so abused. During this event, Keira had imprinted on Nero during his dying breath. She had saved him and taken a companion.

The second event, occurring six months afterward, was when, somehow, a letter managed to find them. A letter to Starlight Academy which welcomed them to the island to train their newfound magic. It was at Starlight Academy that Keira's love for teaching began. She revered the teachers at the school, who had helped her so eager and the island which breathed new life into her. From her first week in Manta Carlos Keira has studied to be a teacher.
