He knocked on the door, humming a little as he waited for her to answer. James was meeting up with his girlfriend at her apartment, an evening of video games, junk foods and hopefully a bit of making out. He'd check his phone to make sure he had the right address as he waited for her to answer.
Chuckling he'd step in and steal a kiss from her as he did, "lucky you, got an apartment and all that," he'd glance around, his nose twitching a little as it picked on the new scents. "Live here with your brother right?" he'd of course heard of the big wealthy dragon family, now he was somehow dating a member of the clan.
"Sure, maybe I'll see some things I can tease you about dragon nerd," he'd tease her, flashing a playful grin. "Gotta be the charming playful boyfriend after all," she was fun to be around, he'd started crushing on her rather quickly, and then of course the truth or dare game made things move forward.
"But I want to get all the embarrassing stories about you," he'd give a playful smiles, "you look cute when you're embarrassed." Meeting her family did sound fun, a clan of powerful dragons, he imagined family dinners were interesting.
He'd follow her on the tour, realizing it was the first time he'd visited a private home since moving to the island. The changeling would chuckle as he entered the room, "so much tech, some it looks...old." James would look around, "so you're a nerd," he'd say with a grin, "an attractive nerd, but definitely a nerd."
James considered picking up some of the tech but decided it might be best not to disturb them considering some were a bit old. "And you called me a nerd for liking Star Trek," he'd wrap an arm around her and grin, "it's cool actually, all this tech."
"Nice," he'd grin a bit when he saw the Star Trek dvds, it was nice that they had similar interests. Walking over to her he'd wrap his arms around her in a hug and kiss her cheek, "the collection is cool, don't think I've ever seen one like it before.
Releasing her he'd take a seat, "so, I remember you saying something about Mario Kart," he'd flash a grin, "more specifically you losing at Mario Kart." She of course had never said anything about losing, but he loved how competitive she got, it was actually really attractive.
He'd follow her, chuckling as he did, "I don't know, I specifically remember you saying you'd likely lose," he liked teasing her and liked the way she teased him, "Shadow even agrees," the entity known has Shadow of course didn't agree, but she didn't know that.
One of his tantacles would snatch up the guest controller, handing it off to his hands as he took his seat, "yup, sounds good." He'd flash a grin, "so what do I get if I win? And what do you want on the off chance you win?" Her competitiveness had been a nice change of pace for him, made things interesting.
