Nebula frowned at Neon trying to turn her need to sleep into a positive. It wasn't a positive. It was a negative. He was lucky the conversation continued on. Nebula still wasn't sure how to hold back her emotions to a human level. She would've gone into a rant if not for the distraction.

"No no, I mean the VR games here. You know... on the Space Station? I heard things are super realistic and you believe you actually are your character until you wake up. I don't know how they'll work things for me since I don't have an actual brain. I heard there's an option to pay more so you're aware you're playing a game, but... I don't know. I don't want to be forced to pay more so I files don't get messed up."

"Ah? VR games here? No, haven't been to it yet. Been studying hard and learning more about myself. After that... I'll try getting in touch with my old friends. I'll have to start playing it from LV1, sure, but I wanna see them again... Of course I'm not gonna use the same alias, nor the same avatar, don't want to make it seem like the whole incident was staged, or that the ghost is back.", needless to say, Neon feared breaking the Veil after knowing of the consequences.

He understood well why Nebula didn't want to try that kind of VR, risking losing her files, her memories... The mass of energy that acted as a tail seem more oval this time, like when an animal feels flustered or scared and their tail bushes up. "Yeah, no, not worth the risk for you I would say.", and of course Neon was wide-eyed, since he knew how it felt to lose something like that.

Seeing the way that Neon's tail fluffed up in fear only furthered Nebula's terror as she shivered. Yes. It was safer for her to learn more about the technology here before trying it out.

"Yeah... If you ever play one of the VR games here, tell me all about it. I heard they can be expensive, but that they also have events where everyone can play for free." She forced an awkward smile, trying to bring the conversation down with her anxiety. "And it's sad that you can't speak to your friends as you are. I guess that's a downside with the Veil... I'll wish you tons of luck! Who knows. When you're playing a game and having trouble, I might be summoned to give you advice. Or I'll buy the game and play with you."

Neon was still reluctant about trying VR once again, he didn't need to tell Nebula why, but if he were to try... "If I do, yeah, I will make sure to tell you all about it.", big IF maybe? Maybe not? He didn't emphasize it after all... But once the initial nightmarish thought passed, his tail has returned to normal, and the conversation moved on to something more sane too. And... Was that a mischievous smile?

"Ya know, I am a bit of a trickster. Pretending to be a fan of myself who learned about my death but has been away for a while due to technical issues is not that hard, plus I know they would believe in that easily.", his smile then faded out of the mischievousness and more into a tender one, "They must have moved on, I know how strong mentally they are. And I'm sure we'll cross paths within that virtual world, Nebula. Whether by need or invitation."

Nebula was confused as to why Neon wouldn't jump to the chance to play the VR games now, but he was an ex-human. Humans always took things slowly. Or too fast. It depends. Right now, Neon was taking things too slowly.

"Yeah, but it's still sad... Whatever. You seem okay with it, and I'm sure they're doing alright. I know humans are really good with the grieving thing." So many of them died all the time. It was hard for Nebula to comprehend getting over the death of those close to you so easily.

All of a sudden, Nebula perked up, paused, then focused back on Neon. "My alarm went off. I need to go back home and charge up or else I won't be able to do my homework. I'll text you later, okay?" As she waved, she shrunk down until she was two-foot-one, then she flew away.

"That is true, mourn the dead, but live for them. Some warriors falls in combat so others may live.", no doubt Neon was familiar with series like Nobunaga's Ambition, or Romance of the Three Kingdoms, or anything game-wise inspired by those, and by his stern and somewhat mature tone, it was easy to imagine he was reminiscing the thoughts of great warriors of the past from those games.

He imagined why Nebula seemed suddenly alert, and smirked in amusement when the reason was stated, with an understanding nod he added: "Ah, I might log into Final Fantasy XIV tonight, meet me there!", and with that he would soon resume his reading into game development.
