It was one of those nights where Raella was absolutely restless. She lay atop her bed staring at the blank ceiling above, tossing and turning as her tail drew lazy circles in the air. Eventually, she had just about enough and decided to head over to the nearby city for a little exploration. Beneath the backdrop of midnight, the demon relished in the crisp twilight zephyrs as she darted freely through the sky. After a few playful twirls and spins in the air, she eventually landed near a particular park.

Trees, evergreens, and shrubs littered the vicinity, leaving just enough room for meandering pathways. Folding her wings neatly behind her back, Raella slowly stepped foot into the park for the first time, leaving the gleam and glamour of street lights far behind her. It was peculiar, really, the way nature and urbanization could complement each other so perfectly. Taking in a sharp breath, she immersed herself fully in her surroundings. The trees here were far from the threatening oaks in the forbidden forests. Their branches were trimmed, neat, birthing a thin canopy that allowed the gentle moon's luminescence to shine through. As the girl strolled closer to the heart of the park, the fragrance of flowers slowly but surely enlightened her senses and calmed her restlessness with its gentle aroma. Truly, there was no place better than within nature's embrace.

Shiro similarly couldn't sleep, her insomnia kicking in, even if she'd considerably cut back on coffee. So the vampire girl slipped out of her home for a nightly fly, or at least attempted to. She'd only make it short distances before having to land. Flying via wings was considerable different than flying on her staff, more difficult.

The cat girl again launched, this time going a decent distance, but then she again came down. She saw the pile of snow and tried to avoid it, ended up failing and landing right into it with a squeak as the cold powder covered her.

Her head would pop out of the pile with a gasp. "Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, so fucking cold," she'd start to dig herself out, starting to shiver a bit.

Raella could have sworn she was mistaken when she saw a silhouette descend (more like fall) out of the sky until she heard it crash into the lone pile of snow in front of her. Sprinting up to it, she arrived just in time to see a peculiar cat girl emerge from the snow. Puzzled, the demon took a step back as her wings unfurled ever so slightly whilst her expression morphed into one of apprehension - there was no guarantee the lady before her posed a threat.

Cold, cold, cold, cold, cold, so fucking cold.

All trepidation dissipated the second she heard the girl speak. Alas, turns out that she seemed rather harmless. Quickly grasping hold of her senses, Raella weaved together an illusion of the warmth of a hearth in an attempt to make the other feel a little better. Speaking for the first time in a while, she kept her tone languid as her words smoothly rolled off the tip of her tongue.

"It's just an illusion but hopefully that suffices for now." Pausing, she then stepped a little closer to the girl, as she extended a hand to help her up. With her voice come across in a deeper tone this time, tinted ever so slightly by her flirtatious nature, she then continued her speech. "Now, what's a fine lady like you doing here this time of night?"

She'd take the offered hand, stepping out of the snow with the other girl's help. "Oh, y'know, flying," she'd shake snow from her wings. "Or at least trying to," she'd say with a giggle and a playful smirk. "Luckily there was an attractive hero to save me from the cold snow."

The cat girl would adjust her coat. "Fate decided I needed to be half vampire for some reason, unfortunately fate didn't provide instincts to tell me how to fly right away," she'd giggle again, making her wings wiggle.

"What about you cutie?" she'd ask, still trying to keep from shivering. "What brings you out here tonight?"

To her delight, it seemed that the demon had the absolute fortune of meeting someone quite like-minded as herself. After hearing her reply, she couldn't help let out a hitch of laughter as she pulled the cat girl out of the snow.

unfortunately, fate didn't provide instincts to tell me how to fly right away

Lips curving to form a smile, Raella leaned in ever so slightly - just barely enough to be considered a tease as she silently observed her wings for a few beats. To say they were black, huge, and bat-like was a given but this demon liked to divulge a little deeper into her inspection. Raella internally fawned over the silky stygian wings that adorned the other's back. Shiro's petite frame only served to enhance the appearance of their size yet not to the point of it looking bulky. It just seemed perfect, fully furnished with a gentle elegant curve following its arch.

"They're..." She stood in stunned silence as she slowly rummaged her mind for a way to express her sentiments yet no words seemed to suffice. "They're beautiful! I could help to teach you how to fly if you'd like. Say, how did you turn into a vampire if you don't mind me asking."

Noticing that Shiro seemed to appear cold, Raella let out a soft exhale as she attempted to strengthen her illusion to provide her with a little more warmth. Willing her tone to come off as a lot less dazed than before, she then answered her question. "I was feeling rather restless tonight. It happens pretty often and spending some time with nature helps to ease me a little." Halting her speech, she took a slight step forward to reduce the gap between the two. Voice dropping to a barely audible whisper, she purred:

"Besides, what am I to complain - it gave me the opportunity to meet such a ravishing beauty."

She'd smile as her wings were complimented. "Thank you~" she'd blush a little bit. "Eh, I was in a magical accident," that wasn't completely true, but it was close enough to suffice for now. "No going back, so I just gotta adjust and adapt."

Her shivering would start to stop. "Oh?" she'd giggle, "sounds like were out and about for similar reasons." She'd let her wings hang from her shoulders like a cloak.

"Oh my, if I'm not mistaken I believe I'm being flirted with," she'd giggle. "Well, I got just as lucky, meeting a hotty like you," she'd say playfully.

Magical accident huh, that situation seemed peculiar but Raella figured it was best not to enquire further. Once she figured that they both seemed to have similar bouts of restlessness, a warm happiness enveloped her being - perhaps, just perhaps, her late-night walks could get a lot less lonely.

The demon let out a playful chuckle as the flirty banter fell between the two. She had experienced flirting before but not something quite as fun as this. "My my, I believe I was the lucky one in this situation. It's not exactly common to meet such a delight on a mundane stroll through the park."

Finishing her speech, she took a step away as she straightened the arch of her back. Instantly, her wings unfurled itself to reveal the full extent of its glory. Amber eyes gleamed golden against the backdrop of obsidian silhouettes. Running the tip of her tongue across her lower lip, she spoke once more.

"Now, would you grant me the honour of teaching you how to fly?"

She'd giggle. "Oh my, just met and already offering to take me on romantic flights?" she'd step around her to look at the demon's wings. "Yours are quite lovely by the way," she'd circle back around to face Raella again, smirking playfully again.

"Ok, so, before we fly, introductions," she'd say with a giggle. "I'm Shiro," she'd say, her cat tail swaying behind. "It is wonderful to meet such a gorgeous girl tonight."

The vampire would wait for the other girl to introduce herself before speaking again. "And I would love to have you teach me to fly," she'd flap her own wings a few times.

It was odd how nothing in this world could faze Raella except genuine compliments. Shiro's mere statement was enough to bring this seductress into, for lack of better words, a blushy mess. Though barely visible in the low lighting, the demon's cheeks gradually tinted rosy in a slow gradient as her train of thought sputtered to a stop. Clasping her face with her hands, she let out an intelligible exclamation of pure shock before managing to spew a quick "Thanks! No one's said that before."

Taking in a sharp inhale, she sparred herself a moment to regain her composure as she visibly relaxed. "My apologies for the overreaction, I just don't get compliments much." A pang of nostalgia shot through her being like jolts electrifying starlight. Somehow, the compliment reminded Raella of the girl who first showed her kindness. Not wanting to get too lost in her little reverie, she quickly snapped out of it after a split second.

"Goodness, how could I forget to introduce myself." Pausing, she tilted her head down as she gave a slight bow. "The name's Raella, Raella Laurie. A pleasure to meet you darling."

Stepping forward, she glanced at Shiro's wings for a few moments, analyzing its aerodynamics and comparing it to that of her own for reference. Luckily for the demon, both of them seemed to have the same basic shape. Now, it all came down to her teaching skills... which was not at all confident in.

"Right so tell me, how comfortable are you with taking off, gliding, and landing? Essentially, how much can you fly?"

Shiro would giggle at the other girl's reaction. "But you're gorgeous,"she'd smirk, "a girl like you should be spoiled with compliments." She was enjoying the flirtatious back and forth, seeing the older girl blush was fun.

"Pleasure is all mine hon," she'd say, her tail swaying behind her. "Seems crashing into the snow was very lucky indeed." She'd mostly stopped shivering by that point.

"Taking off I'm ok at, glading okish," she'd chuckle. "I'm figuring out sustained flight and landing," she'd flap her wings a few times.
