Addy had been thinking of a way to get Shay to hang out with her. I'm fact she had made it her main priority between, cheer leading, studying, tutoring, and all other things. She had no idea why none of the ideas she had originally planned for seemed good. Shay was a puzzle, she didn't like the same things Addy did and Addy like almost everything. Even if Addy was pretty sure Shay was an introvert and that's why they weren't connecting Addy was determined to get shay to at least like her a tiny bit. Which is why after careful surveillance (mostly her following shay around and asking what she was doing) Addy had finally managed to find something they both could like.

For as okay as she was in her body Addy was a bit insecure about her cat side. Mostly because her mother wasn't really around to teach her anything about it. The location she admitted was a bit dirty but it was outside. Plus it was the only place with things they could attempt to climb up. Of course she had watched YouTube videos and read books. However she wasn't entirely confident in her ability to impress Shay.

She put her bag on the ground and tied up her shoe laces extra tight. She wasn't sure how far Shay was gonna get with those gloves on but she didn't say anything. In fact she just excitedly bounced in place and waited for Shay to catch up. "So how do you wanna go about this?"

Shay was used to Addy acting weird. That was to say, Addy acted like her younger sister. Following her around and asking her about a million questions. Shay wasn't sure what to make of that, but she answered them as patiently as she could muster. You weren't rude to family. That was important to Klaus and Vito, and Shay was trying to be good.

The day Addy asked Shay to go out in the city with her after school because she had a surprise, well, Shay wouldn't say no, but she didn't quite expect parkour. It was only lucky that Shay was pretty much always dressed practically. Her gloves were cloth today, so she took them off and shoved them in her school bag.

"It's going to be hard with our backpacks," she told her...sister? Friend? Addy? Yes, her Addy. "Is there an industrial ladder around? Wait -- you did let Vito and Klaus know about this, right?" She was wondering if she was going to have to be questioned when they got home.

By child standards, Shay was a bit of a stick in the mud. She didn't have the normal teenage rebellious streak. She had substituted undeserved aggression (and at times, a lack of common sense) for rebellion. She had only just gotten...caretakers again. Ones who cared where she was. She had no desire to lose that. The thought let her cold.

Alleys generally had industrial ladders leading up to apartments; they could climb one if they could reach it and get to the roof. She told this plan to Addy, before looking around, still hesitant about it all. Shay wasn't immortal, not even a little. If she broke her neck. That was it. She assumed. And if she broke an arm, who was to say how long it would take to heal? Unless she took magic treatment. It was a lot of think about.

Addy thought for a moment at her hopefully soon to be friend. Before she smiled innocently "Of course I told them, Wouldn't want them to worry about you!" She said excitedly, it was a well known fact that Addy wandered the island talking to people and making all sorts of trouble. Well trouble was a big word, Addy liked to think she was just having fun. Like glitter mountain in which she exhausted her weekly limit of money. She tried to limit her spending but alas it was really hard for her.

Addy nodded and skipped over to her ladder her tail cling to it and pulling it down. "Ta-da" She wasn't sure what exactly they were gonna do but she was gonna try. "Wanna try first or should I?" She asked excitedly her tail twitching slightly.

Shay wasn't sure whether to trust the smile or not. She didn't think Addy was a liar, but that looked too innocent for her tastes. Oh well. She'd take Addy's word for it.

When Addy pulled the ladder down, Shay stepped over to take hold of it and shake it. It wasn't in bad shape, but it was still somewhat rusted and made a terrible squeak when the weight of her foot came down on the first rung. "I'll go. I want to make sure it was safe."

Addy was semi-immortal. Shay assumed she was, anyway. Most of her new family seemed to be. Either way, Shay was not. Knowing that had not changed Shay's decision. You protected your family. Your pack. Even if you weren't close to them. Even if you didn't get along with them. Shay was not weak. She had this.

The girl climbed to the first landing and looked down at Addy. "We're climbing to the top." They had no other options. The roof was the only place they could jump around. "There are probably some vents or something up there we could use for practice." She eyed the opposite buildings roof and scrunched her nose.

Addy smiled, she was glad that Shay didn't question her answer. Of course she had written a very detailed letter of where they would be and a signed promise that she would bring back Shay unharmmed and competely as fine as she was when Addy saw her that day. "Shouldn't I be the one to make sure it's safe...Im older?" Addy was the type of person who didn't care about safety risk as far as she was concerned, but she was aware that she was a tid bit less breakable than Shay. Due to the fact that Addy was aware that Shay was not a demon...she didn't exactly know what shay was and she refused to ask.

Addy nodded and started to climb the ladder, she normally would have started swinging from things and climbing like a cat, but Shay couldn't do that. Therefore she opted for the human way, the slow and boring decent up the latter she was deemed to Addy too Addy to climb first.

"That's fine, besides there is less likely to be broken glass and stuff on the roof." She said trying to at least seem somewhat responsible. Why did Shay seem like the level headed one, wasn't she supposed to be the level headed one as the oldest? Then again Addy didn't mind giving up leadership as long as they got to keep doing random things she thought of. She was determined to get Shay to live life to the fullest, there were many things you could do with out a lot of people around or skin contact. Like cliff diving, hang gliding, mountain climbing, spray painting walls and running from cops. Okay maybe Shay was too young for run ins with Johnny law.

"I've got it," Shay said irritably. She, too, was aware that Addy was less breakable than her, and it was like a thorn in her side. They all were less fragile than Shay, and she was trying desperately to forget that and imagine she could keep up with all of them.

Once at the top of the building, Shay was looked out to the city and stared silently. She liked being up and high and staring at everything laid out in front of her. It looked like something from a movie or a novel.

She stepped over to the edge and looked at the apartment building beside theirs. The roof was flat, so there was that, and it wasn't a great distance, separated only by a thin alley. Still, Shay was aware of the drop that would at the worst kill her and at the least break a bone. They were something like five or six stories high.

Be brave, Shay. She glanced over her shoulder at Addy. "You want to go first?" Shay wouldn't say it, but she figured if Addy went first and Shay somehow managed to mess up her jump, Addy could catch her. Reassuring, but it hurt Shay's pride a good deal.

Addy was not actually scared of hieghts, what she was scared of was pissing off Klaus and Vito by murdering their youngest daughter. Even though Addy wasn't reglious at all she prayed to the powers that be, that Shay made it to the other side relatively unhurt. Addy was confident in her ability to make to the other side, mostly because she was a cheeleader..and had practice climbing.

"Yeah Ill go first, please wait till I get to other side." She took a few steps back ran and then jumped to the other building roof. She landed on her feet someone shakily, stumbling forward a steps. Did she bump into that rooftop box thingy? Shhhhhh Nobody saw that, except maybe Shay but she probably wouldn't say anything right?

She moved close enough to catch Shay hopefully but not enough to block her way. "Okay you can go now" please don't die, I value my life, was this a bad idea

Shay puffed up a little when Addy requested that she wait until Addy was on the other side. Shay knew Addy didn't mean to be insulting, but it only made Shay feel weaker than she already did. She sighed and nodded.

If Shay could read minds and knew how nervous Addy was about Shay possibly getting injured, Shay might have reassured her that she wouldn't come to harm if Shay were wounded.

She breathed out and took a running start before jumping. Untrained as she was, the jump wasn't far, and Shay didn't hesitate. Honestly, it wasn't the first time she'd jumped from one construct to another with the possibility of death. She landed on the other side, not on her feet, but alive.

Addy didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings, in fact she was quite possible against that. Yes she did have a few awkward kinks mostly because she was a princess and she was stuck up. It was impossible to see that Addy wasn't sort of full of herself. Of course she tried to make others feel good about themselves too, but if she had to pick...it would be her. She rarely extended any type of deep emotional feeling for anyone besides her family. Family who was currently trying to jump from one building another.

Addy was relieved when shay made it to the other side, she walked over and offered Shay her hand. She didn't fuss like she wanted to, she didn't want to hurt Shays pride. Besides even professional athletes helped each other up.

" okay that could've gone better " rubbing the part of her shoulder that bumped into the vent box thing. At least Shay didn't fail on her own?

Shay took Addy's hand and used it to stand up. She dusted herself off, heart beating all the way to her fingertips. She'd never done something that dangerous, or fun. It was euphoric. She looked over the distance she'd jumped. Not that far. She could do better. With some practice, she'd do much better.

"I think it went pretty well for our first time." She looked at Addy and smiled. She felt so relaxed, body and mind ready to take on the challenges of the world. "Are you up to keep going? We can practice on some of the ventilation systems up here."
