Ember swayed her way into the stables, a big grin plastered on her face. It'd been a while since she'd pet or ridden a horse. She loved horses, and especially loved riding them. The barn was empty when she entered, the color pink painting the sky. There were three lonely horses each in their own stall.
Ember walked up to the middle stall, where a white horse with black spots stood, munching on a clump of hay. She gently padded his nose and sat on the door, petting him. She'd scratch him behind the ears and around his jaw. It was quiet, and the horse didn't mind her giving him some special attention.
