Murphy followed her gaze off into the distance. He'd never thought of the horizon as something beautiful or something to be admired. To him, the horizon represented what lay ahead, the twisted path that led them ahead into the unknown. But looking up into the cloudless sky and seeing the myriad of stars sparkling brightly he was forced to admit, it was rather beautiful. "Aye," he answered softly, watching her gaze up at the constellations "it's pretty I'll grant you."
As they strolled in silence his thoughts began to settle. Since arriving on the island he'd been chased, burned, shocked and threatened with fates worse than death. But you know, if he really thought about it hard enough he'd probably enjoyed himself more than he had the last 15 years of his life.
