The day had finally come. The reality of Chloe's motherhood was finally starting to hit her, now that Amber was sitting next to her in a car ride back to her home. Today, Chloe was going to help Amber get set up in her new room. They were going to spend the weekend together, at the very least, and Chloe would start acting like a parent. Chloe could only hope that Amber didn't have some sort of empathic power, that she couldn't be infected by all of Chloe's anxieties or become ruined for life as a result.

Once she had finished introducing Amber to the chauffeur, Nick, Chloe brought up a different line of conversation. "So, Amber. They have your grade level doing power classes at the end of the day, right? Have any kinds of powers your mom doesn't?"

Soon the car would be going through a teleporter, and from there it wouldn't be long until they reached home.

Today was the day! Today was the day that Amber was finally going to stay with her mother Chloe for the weekend! While she was a bit nervous... Amber couldn't help but feel mostly excited with finally being able to go over to her mother's place! Amber didn't really pick up on how anxious her mother might have felt at this moment, to wrapped up in her own excitment to really notice. And it was just going to be her and mom for the weekend! It was going to be nice having a quiet weekend without her sisters pestering her all day. Amber was even getting her own room which was going to be a real luxary for her! Oh and Nick the chauffeur seemed pretty nice! She liked him. Before she could ask him about what its like being a chauffeur, her mom Chloe asked her about something relating to school.

"Mhmm? Oh... well I have the drain other people... kinda like you. But aside from that I can do just about anything my mom can do. Err... other mom... you know what I mean."

Amber reverts to her humanoid form so that she would sit more comfortably in the car. As she watches out the window seat, Amber strokes her chin as the ponders over the difficulties of having two moms... or rather the difficulties of how to refer to each of her mothers. Is Mom 1 and Mom 2 acceptable? No... she loved them both equally and didn't want to make one feel less important than the other. Mommy and Mother? Hrrmm... it makes one sound more playful and other more formal, which begs the question who was the fun mom and who was the serious mom. Mama and Mom? Errr... nah. Mom A and Mom B? Would they fight over who would be Mom A? Amber wouldn't ant that. Spider mom and Demon mom? They were both demons though so maybe that would be confusing. Big Mom and Horny Mom? That... didn't sound quite right. 8-legged mom and 2-legged mom? Uggh! So many names and Amber REALLY didn't want to make one feel less than a mom than the other...

As Amber struggled with questions during the inter-dimensional car ride, they soon arrived to Chloe's manor. As Amber looked up through the car window, all she could mummer was "Whooaaaa" as she stared wide eyed at her mom's home.

"THIS IS YOUR HOUSE! ITS SO BIG AND FANCY!" exclaimed the tiny spider girl as she turned to her mom with the most bewildered expression on her face

She didn't realize that Amber had inherited her strength draining. They would have to talk more about that later - hopefully she didn't inherit the addiction that came with her mother's power. But for now, there were happier things for them to focus on.

Chloe pointed it out when they were getting close. It was a big house - more like a mansion really - and it was opulent, with professional landscaping all around it. The gateway had a large bronze casting of her father's symbol on it; their chauffeur had to unlock this gate before driving them past the fountain and up to the front door.

"I can't wait to show you your room," Chloe said as they walked up the steps to the front door. "So getting you there has to be our first thing."

When the door opened, Amber would be able to see see her her grandfather's 'golden skull-throne' past the foyer. It was Chloe's least favorite chair. Otherwise a normal, reasonably comfortable cushioned chair, the backside and the sides were plated in gold. From behind it resembled a giant skull made of gold. It was so gaudy!

Chloe would lead Amber past paintings and sculptures and up a set of stairs. Soon, they would reach the doorway. "Here it is!"

The rooms colors mostly stuck to an unassuming gray, but with streaks of white that mimicked the pattern of a spider's web. Rather, there seemed to be several different web-like patterns, all attached to each other. Amber's bed was at the center of one of the webs, and a big black plush spider sat on top of it. At the center of another was a set of shelves, for books and for toys. Chloe had taken the liberty of starting Amber's collections of each. The third and final web had its center between a mirrored dresser and a walk-in closet, which already contained a few outfits for Amber to choose from. Behind a set of pulled-back curtains was a sliding glass door to a balcony. The balcony overlooked part of the city.

"What do you think?"

Upon exiting the vehicle, Amber reverted to her more comfortable demonic-spider child form and entered the estate with her mother. Amber looked up to Chloe, listening and nodding her head to every word she said.

"Me too! I can't wait to see it mom!~" chimed Amber as she claps her little hands together.

As mother and daughter entered throught the front door, Amber's six eyes could hardly keep up with all of the fanciful decor the inside of the mansion. The interior, the golden skull throne, the sculptures and the paintings... all delighting her senses. She felt almost like royalty as she walked by her mother's side.

Once Chloe opened the door to her room, her reaction was bit of a mixed response. There was some things that she liked such as the cute spiderweb patterns along the room and the furniture. But... the room was so... grey... depressingly grey. Amber did her best to hide her disappointment with forced smile.

"Oh... I... like it." she stated, not wanting to upset her mother who went through so much work. The last thing Amber wanted to do was to make her mother feel bad for not sharing her excitement but based on the tone of Amber's voice, it was clear that her first impressions where all that enthusiastic.

Before her mother could make a comment, Amber was gravitated to the the central bed in the middle and hugs the plush spider waiting for her. After a moment of hugging, Amber strolls on over to the bookcase and looks upon her budding collection of books as she continues to coddle the plush spider in her arms.

"I have bookcase WITH books too? Cool!" spoke up Amber who sounded a little more happy with her room's accommodations.

((Apologies for the late response, I know your excited to RP with Amber but the past couple of days have been really busy for me given that its finals week here >.< ))

Chloe was unperturbed by Amber's apparent lack of enthusiasm for the room. She might have even been expecting it. Chloe was a fan of that gray, herself, but she had a feeling it wouldn't be Amber's thing. And she knew Amber's tastes would change over time. While Amber moved to look at the bookshelf, Chloe turned to a panel on the wall.

"I was thinking we could hit up a bookstore this weekend, too. So I can help you round out your collection with some more stuff you'd like."

The parts of the room that were gray turned black. Then they turned green. Then yellow. If Amber turned to look at Chloe, she would see her playing with three different sliders on the wall which at first glance resembled light dimmers. They actually controlled the color of the room!

"By the way, I forgot to ask. What's your favorite color?" That's what the room would be, when Chloe was done. "You can change it here whenever you want."

Color-changing paint was shockingly cheap, Chloe found, if you did it as a DIY project. Only about 3 times as expensive as just getting a room painted normally, since she actually had to paint the whole room three times in yellow, then magenta, then cyan.

"OH! Yeah, I'd like that! You can help me pick out some good books to read!" answered Amber while she turned her head to look to her mother.

Amber just caught sight of her mother laying her hand on a panel and the colors of the room changes before her very eyes. The spider girl lets in a tiny gasp followed by high-pitched laughter as she looked at the colors transitioned from grey to black to green to yellow! While it may have been novel feature, Amber was nevertheless quite ecstatic for how awesome her color changing room was now!

"Sqqeeee hahahahahaahAHAHAHA! This is AWESOME! PINK! Make it pink! Oh wait... rainbow... can you make it rainbow from there? CAN I TRY CAN I TRY!?" screeched Amber as she scurried over to the panel her mother is at, staring at her with all 6 of her yellow eyes. She continued to hug her plush spider, now even more tightly as she pranced her 8 legs in place.

"Well," Chloe said, "You can do any single color." She moved out of the way so Amber could reach the sliders. "So, here's how it works. There are three primary colors for painting, red blue and yellow. You can mix them together to get any other color. Each slider adds more of a color to the room. This one is for blue, this one is for red, this one is for yellow."

She was grinning ear to ear as Amber played with the color settings. Chloe was proud of herself. It didn't have saturation settings like a professional job would have, and she didn't choose exactly the right primary hues to get the full range of colors, but it was still pretty cool.

"So, do you want to see the rest of the house, now?"

Amber nodded her head to her mother's explanation as to how the system worked. Once Amber was allowed to play with the slider, she stood on the very tips of her clawed feet and adjusted the sliders one by one. Every time she made a change, she looked behind herself, giggling with glee each time the room changed colors. The room transitioned from blue to red, green and orange, and salmon to periwinkle... just about any color that was imaginable that was allowed. Once Amber had her fun, she settled on a flamingo pink. She took a moment to look at new which looked almost like a completely new space! The pink and the white web designs really contrasted quite nicely too. She may not have been too excited before but now she was completely in love with her new bedroom!

When her mother inquired if she would like to see the rest of the house, Amber jerked her head and gave her mother the widest, happiest grin on her face.

"Yes please!~" sang Amber as she scuttes over to the door and opens it for the both of them.

"Where to next? Your room? Dining room? Kitchen? Playroom? Tea room? Grandpa's room?"

"Well... my room's right down the hallway. We also have a home theater setup, right here," Chloe opened a door on the way for Amber to look in. It had a huge TV screen, a surround sound system, and a shelf full of game systems, games, controllers, and DVDs. "There's also games. Just, uh, stay away from the VHS tapes if I'm not around. Some of them are haunted." This room had dimmer switches, similar to the ones in Amber's room. These actually controlled the lights.

Chloe realized, at this point, that she probably should have locked those up before Amber got here. Maybe she would do it later in the evening, before Amber had the chance to get into them.

When they moved further down the hallway, Chloe showed her through another door. "Oh, and here's the bathroom. The bath has water jets with a massage function. It's pretty cool if you want to try that out. I also keep a lot of fancy bath bombs and stuff in the drawers, and that cylinder-looking thing is there to keep towels warm, so you can have a nice, warm towel when you're done."

The walls were covered primarily with a gray-brown sort of tiling, which contrasted sharply with the white tile floor and the black marble countertop. The bathtub had a strange sort of pentagon shape to it, and it seemed to sink into the floor a little. There was also a walk-in shower, with clear glass surrounding it.

Amber peeked inside the theater real quick and was easily impressed by its grandeur of the set up. Amber wasn't too interested in video games but she never had to much of play them. Movies on the other hand she was very much interested in! Now she can watch those Disney movies she has in all of their glory! Also... VHS? Amber had no idea what those were. Her mom said that they were haunted so she better take her word for it and leave them be... whatever a VHS is.

The next room was the the bathroom with had to the the fanciest bathroom in all of the demon realm! Messaging water jets, heated towels and bathbombs!? She was going to have to try that all. The tub was even big enough for her normal demonic spider form to fit comfortably too!

"Whoa! This almost makes me want to take a bath right now! But... we still have much more of the house to see right mom?"
