Chloe chuckled. "I'm sure he would like a card from you." Amber was such a sweetheart. Chloe would also see about upgrading that allowance of hers. She would be willing to take it out of her own - it's not like she needed the extra cash at this point. Chloe saved most of the money her father gave her over the last few years anyway, and it would be one less thing for Pandora to worry about paying for.

"As for dinner, I think we'll go out somewhere tonight. To celebrate you moving in." Chloe would consider texting a few people she knew who ate human, to see if they knew any good restaurants for that. The only place that came immediately to mind was the grill section of Temptations, and there was no way in hell she was taking Amber there.

"Also. While we're down here. It's too cold to swim right now, but we do have a pool." She gestured to the windows that gave them a view of the backyard. "It's under a tarp for now."

Amber smiled happily when her mother reassured her that her grandfather would like her card. Perhaps she should start on it once her mother finished showing her around the house? For now, the idea of spending time with her mother and going to a restaurant sounded really appealing to her right now!

"Oh! Sure thing! That sounds fun!" exclaimed Amber, going out to eat was rare treat for her as most of the time they just ate whatever it was her mom Pandora brought from home. When her mother mentioned the pool however, Amber would a appear somewhat uncertain.

"Oh? A pool? Thats... cool... how deep is it? It isn't too deep isn't it? Because... I can't really swim and I will kind of sink like a rock." explained a concerned Amber. The sinking like a rock comment may have been a bit of an exaggeration it got the message across.

"Oh, also... I would need a bathing suit... and maybe some floaties." added Amber as she smiled sheepishly.

Oh, right. Spider girls probably couldn't swim.

"It has a shallow end and a deep end. We can get a swimsuit and floaties for you if you want to try it." But how would a swimsuit work for a girl with a spider-butt? Top half of a two-piece suit? Amber didn't seem very excited about the idea, so it was probably a moot point.

"Anyway. Lots of other stuff to show you. Like... some of your grandpa's people are probably around. He has a lot of people who work for him. And he'll let me show you some of his magic stuff. I think I mentioned that already." Chloe was almost certain she had mentioned that to Amber already.

And so the tour continued. There was a strange satisfaction Chloe felt, seeing Amber so amazed and wondrous at things that Chloe herself had grown used to. Through Amber, she saw the world fresh and new. The magical world felt magical again. In Amber, she saw something fragile and precious, something that made foreign feelings stir inside of her. Was this what it was to have a child?
