Mother’s Day was always an odd on for Stefan. When he was younger he used to send things back to his real mother and never got a reply so he slowly stopped doing so. In more recent years he instead sent his letters to Haru someone who surprisingly meant more to him then his actual mother, she helped guide him through certain times and he was greatful for that.

Still his mind seemed to wander back to his real parents, he always wondered why they were so cold towards him not even giving a reason, they just seemed to disappear. He did what he usually did everyday after school. Hit his dorm before wandering off deep into the woods trying to get away from it all. There he sat poking a few embers he had made with a stick thinking about various things.

"You all got the briefing correct?"

Haru was leaned back in her office chair, scanning over a card that had come to the front desk that morning. It was surprisingly from a young friend of hers named Stefan. The boy had has been absent of late but that still didn't seem to stop him from writing her on mothers day. It was cute, at first at least. However, Haru had come to take a liking to the young man and his situation and had been trying to help him whenever she came in contact. For all her help she got the title "mother" which made her feel old but then again she wasn't that young anymore either.

The light from outside lit her room as four people stood in front of her desk. Each one had a patch on their black jackets signifying they were from BlackThorn, and their hard face made conveyed the seriousness of the situation they had been called in for. In retrospect, it wasn't a dangerous job but Haru didn't like lackluster performance, especially from those she knew.

Two of them were former soldiers from Mes who moved here with their families, and the last two were a native werewolf couple who needed work after getting to the island a few months back. All of them had proven they were competent and trustworthy to pawn this task off on.

"Yes, madam.Operation: Mothers Day?....Seems kind of cheesy." One guard said.

"Well I like the title and I needed to record it so it can be added to your pay. It's a simple pickup...only he doesn't know you're coming. So be sure to be courtious please." Haru placed the card on the table, staring at the large cry for help at the bottom a little longer before staring at the guards again.

"Cant you just call ahead...." Another guard asked.

"The school knows you're coming so don't worry...and obviously no weapons."

The four bowed in acknowledgment and prepared to depart the room, but Haru had one more thing to say freezing the room of movement.

"I'll be there once the meeting is over. I just wasn't to make sure he is okay."

They all nodded and before Haru could pick the letter back up the room was empty and the guards had departed to the school.

OOC: You can assume this happened before Stefan got to his dorm and that the Dorm keeper will notify him that people are coming to see him

Earlier his dorm keeper had told him he had people coming. He dismissed this as someone from the school coming to talk about something boring. Since when his friends came to visit they would pop out of no where. He didn’t care though whatever it was it’d have to wait, time in this places gave him a little time to relax outside, that was only if he was truly alone as people dwelling in the forest wasn’t too uncommon.

The embers soon died out and a thin line of smoke poured out. The smell comforted him, the act and smell of burning something made him feel safe as it was something he always did. Something familiar and sadly was the only thing he could remember from his old life that brought in good memories. He sighed looking around to see if anyone was there before setting his whole head a blaze looking down at the ground with a weak smile the heat slowly making him dizzy.

The small band of the guard had parked themselves in the lot and were already making their way across the campus and to the dorms. The campus ground wasn't too interested in four guards walking through the place as they all had their own lives and classes to attend to. The most attention they got or reciprocated was a hello to a rather elderly teacher who had dropped their bag. The four made a clear-cut path to the dorm and through the entrance and before they knew it they were showing off the guest badges they had received at the front gate.

"We are here to see a Stefan Srambad." One of the wolves spoke up.

The keeper gave them the directions necessary and all four moved in unison up the staircase and through the hall. The dorm got them a few more looks then the grounds did but they paid it little mind. With two taking either side of the door the third and fourth stayed in view of the peephole.

Three hard knocks would ring out followed by "Stefan Strambad we are here to pick you up."

The four guards would look at each other with a small smirk as they all realized how official and dumb this mission was.

From her comfy office, Haru silently watched through the body cams woven into the uniform of the agents. Sipping her fresh tea she sighed calmly.

There was no response as nobody was home. If they were to look through the hole they’d see a fairly well kept room his school bag on his bed but no shoes and no Stefan.

Back in the forest the fire surrounding his head grew and grew not big enough to panic about but still at this point his face was but a shadow with his eyes and silhouette of his sharp teeth. He made sure to pick a rather dead part of the forest without grass below him. The last thing he wanted was to start something, sure in his head lashing out would feel so much better but he stopped him self. He didn’t want to make things even more hard of him self.

A long sip noise filled Haru's office as no response came from the room. She had hoped this would be easy and that a drawn-out job was avoidable. Instead, she got pure silence from an empty room. Leaning up in her chair and setting the cup down she pressed a button on her desk which translated clearly into a ding on the earpieces the guards were wearing. They knocked a few more times listening closely for ant movement.

"He must not be home."
Her voice spoke into all of their ears neatly.

"I don't smell or hear anything boss. Plan B?"

"Plan B it is. I'll be making my way there."

The guards shared some looks before making sighs of annoyance and heading back down the hall. They scanned the floor before leaving and made their way outside the building. Nobody matching the photo popped up on their sites, but this was a huge campus to scour.

"You two stay here and case the building while we head toward the woods. Keep us informed." One of the wolves spoke up as his wife stood by patiently, watching everyone who got in eye view.

"If he returns we'll call the boss and send it over the radio." The prax man replied.

With no more words to be shared the two groups split apart and the two wolves started their journey to the woods. The trees in the photo had been scanned by the intel department so they had a rough idea of where those trees grew, but they couldn't be sure he would return to the same spot.

Meanwhile, Haru was entering the limo she was forced to be driven in alongside her security detail making their way to the exact same location. Her powers would make it easier to find him as long as she picked a good general area to scan first.

He sat down and like a little child starting to char things into dirt with his finger, he wished that things would change but he also saw him self from a certain point. He needed to make the change, he needed to do those things that he needed to do. But he just couldn't, he wondered if he was truly weak in general. What did he have to show for anything, he sat in his room and played games all day hiding from the world, hiding from others, and most importantly hiding from him self. He wanted to break free, he wanted show people what he was capable of, he truly wanted to be happy, but he couldn't and it was all his own fault.

He didn't realize it but he soon slowly enveloped him self in a blanket of flames in that same sitting position. He looked down at him self but only saw flames, was this who he was? Was he destined to burn things down and cause chaos, messing things up for him self and those around him. He slowly laid down on the dirt floor staring out into the flame. Was it better to just burn out or embrace something that he didn't want to be. He didn't know, so there he laid.

The drive was quick. Midday traffic from the office actually wasn't horrible and Haru was able to make it to the parking lot of the woods entrance without much hindrance. Standing there was the two werewolves she had pawned this job off on. They seemed disappointed and somewhat defeated that they were having such problems over one kid. She didn't waste any time with pleasantries and quickly gave orders to everyone there to start scouring the woods in teams.

Two new agents handed the wolves pistols as a safety precautions before heading off in one path. The second set of four agents took another path, and to Haru constant pleading she was allowed to travel alone down a third path. Her power scanning the area for any anomaly. There were people, animals, and monsters roaming all around but nothing that clearly gave away Stefan.

It wasn't until after a half hour of walking she got reports of the werewolf couple smelling something burning that she was put on the right path toward Stefan. A few minutes later she could see the hot-headed boy laying on the ground. She approached casually not worrying too much about the fire and made it within hearing distance of the boy.

"Having fun there?" she would say with a smirk and small chuckle.

Stefan jumped up the moment he heard her voice then proceeded to fall right back over freaking out for a moment not sure who it was, he didn't want to be in trouble to sitting like this so deep in the woods. He got up this time not falling and looked back at the figure, he was covered by flame at this point like a small bonfire all of his details were distinguishable, he looked like a shadow person with two black holes for eyes and the shape of his sharp toothed mouth. He did not look anything like himself.

It took him a few moments to register who it was and as quickly as he was to freak out the flames were gone only him standing there with a hand on his mouth. "O-oh H-Haru..... umm mom... i mean" he quickly shook his head and gave him self a small smack. "Good to see you and yes better then everything else right now eheh.." he said semi happily with an genuine chuckle with a broken smile. "So how are things!" he said stuttering clearly still a bit in shock.

Haru smiled her usual closemouthed smile and walked a bit closer to him waving away whatever smoke hit her face as she did. She hadn't been to this part of the woods. It was rather dead in comparison to the lush parts she usually found herself wandering through. A great place to escape the usual if anything.

"I am fine. However for someone asking for help you made it rather tedious to find you."

She moved to sit next to where Stefan was standing and just looked out at the wooded area, pondering how long it would take for her men to get here.

"I don't expect you sent that letter not expecting me to check on you so I must ask why exactly did you write it?"
