Keira giggled at Pario. Gosh, he was a real cutie, wasn't he? "Of course, it would be all right. I wouldn't have offered had the idea made me uncomfortable, and I'm fine with paying half the tab if you like. I know the salary of most students leaves something to be desired. And I know what you mean; sometimes things can be quite lonely around the island. I've spent so much of my worrying about my future that I forgot to think about the present."
It was at that time that their paths would divert. Keira paused to talk with him before they separated. "So," she said, voice upbeat again, "what place did you have in mind?"
"Oh good." He wanted to seem at least a bit cool, but at the same time; he was talking and walking with a girl! That was something he had never done considering Acellyn always being around him. 'Stop asking to cheeky you noob.' She echoed in his head as she swirled around him and then hovered over his head. "I heard that there was a few restaurants downtown. Maybe we could just, look around until we find something we like?" He asked her with a bright smile on his face. "Unless you are in some rush, then really the first thing we see is good with me."
"No rush," Keira told Pario with a slight smile. "I mean, I'd rather go home and get changed, look a little more presentable. No one wants to go on a date in their work clothes." Her smile grew. She had to make sure he realized this was a date because Keira would have rather not embarrassed herself.
"Kuro isn't going to like this," Nero mused in her head. He stood not far off, licking his paw and using it to clean his ears.
"So? He isn't my keeper. Keira responded as she waited for Pario to answer.
"Just making sure you know it's coming.
Wait, what? He had heard that right, hadn't he? For a good minute, Pario just stared at her, confused but amused by the idea. It took his sister to shake him out of his trance. 'Say something dude, you look like a wax statue.' She echoed with a harsh tone. 'Not that I like her at all, but you shouldn't leave her hanging like that.' Once again, she swirled around him. "A-A date?" Pario's face was rather bright now, as he tried to process what he was hearing. "A date..." He echoed to himself with a ponderous tone. Keira wanted to go on a date with him? He chuckled nervously once it hit him. "I would love to go on a date with you, though I may be a bad partner." He had no experience, as well as having Acellyn nagging in his ear the entire time may get distracting. "But I'll try my best." With a short nod, he stuck out his hand for Keira. He doubted that the girl would grab it, considering they had just met, but the boldness of what she had said made him feel a bit more confident. "H-How far's your house?"
"Oh, it's pretty far. How about I meet you at.. that Sushi place by the beach at six tonight? That way we can both get dressed and freshen up." Keira grinned and took his hand, shaking it. That was what she assumed he wanted. She leaned forward and gave his cheek a soft kiss. "I can't wait. And I think you'll be just fine. Don't put yourself down so much."
Keira turned, waving to Pario as she walked off with Nero in toe.
