Mistakes of the Past

There was some definite commotion coming from down the hall, and it only got louder as a door opened. Down the hall there was a light, and a somewhat small creature emerged from the room. Standing about three feet tall, with slender arms and legs, she had large eyes and a narrow, bullet-like head, reminiscent of a jaguar's skull. Her long, ivy-green hair was a bit of a mess, with her bangs partially covering her face, and a mottled brown pattern on her dark, earthen-toned skin. Her smile revealed small, sharp, needle-like teeth, and she gave a small wave to the people in the room she had left, saying something before closing the door and stumbling slightly.

She seemed to have trouble keeping her balance, staggering and swaying slightly, losing and catching her balance in a strange dance that risked turning into a tumble. She wore a black halter top and a long skirt, as well as a green blouse, all clearly resembling human clothes on a creature who seemed quite inhuman. She was singing to herself, and it sounded like she was doing so off key and louder than she meant to as she repeatedly missed bumping into a wall or an object.

"I'mmm..." She seemed like she was pausing to think, and on closer inspection it was clear this little thing's face was somewhat flushed, she swayed slightly now that she was no longer moving. "Yep. I'm a student, take the college courses here." She slurred her words a little bit, whoever she was, maybe she had been drinking?


"How about you? You come here often?" She gave a small chuckle at her words, leaning forward and backwards slowly. She seemed to regain her balance after a while, soon standing still and upright as she looked at her benefactor, even on one knee he had height on her. "Care to escort me back to my dorm?"

Cheeto seemed quite capable of holding herself up at this point, but suddenly started to sway again. "Ooh, whoa, I might need you to carry me!" She leaned forward, slumping against him almost playfully as a result of her swaying and unable to contain some more giggling. "I'll guide you along here. You gotta know your way around if you wanna go to the academy."

Her voice was still a bit slurred as she spoke, and that scent might become a bit more familiar now that her breath was more readily available, her face a bit closer to his. "First time for everything, after all." She almost sounded playful, though her voice had a soft rasp to it.

The little creature squeaked and laughed as she was picked up, taken a bit by surprise despite asking for the assistance. She guided him as best she could, down one hall, a turn to the left and down another. "We gotta go all the way down" She said, her voice suddenly sounding a bit seductive. "It's at the end of the hall here, last door on the right." The seductive tone vanished instantly, sounding more cheerful this time around.

The room was large, spacious, with two single beds and a curtain meant to separate them. It had an on suite kitchen and bathroom, and was littered with small articles of laundry, school books, and one side of the room was littered with an abundance of nerdy paraphernalia. "Here it is, home sweet home. Care to come in for a bit?"

The girl closed the door behind the two of them after letting him in, looking around her room as though she was somehow disappointed, maybe the mess was her roommate's? As he spoke she turned back to him. "Oh, this is what the standard room looks like, though it is... quite private." There was that hint of something in her voice again. "Great soundproofing on the walls, bathrooms and kitchens, at least for the college students, I think some of the high school students too?" And it was gone again, just like that.

She thought about it for a while, then shrugged, looking to her benefactor once more. "My name's Cheeto by the way." She offered him her hand, smiling at him. "While you're here, want the tour?"
