"...Follow the path to your right and you will be lead to the student's lounge." Devias' automated guide had been, well, guiding him through the school. From the lobby, to the cafeteria, and now towards the dorms where most of the students were staying. Entering the lounge, he pushed play on the device given to him by a representative. It continued...
"One of the biggest social hubs on the grounds, the Student Lounge is full of sofas, chairs, soda and snack machines and relaxing music. After school hours students will congregate here to study, converse, and swap stories before they head back to their dorms."
So far the guide was giving him ample information about the layout and atmosphere of the different parts of the school. He did indeed see a number of students in the lounge, some idly chatting, working on a group project, or simply flirting. He moved on towards a wing of the dorm, where the guide said was a popular choice for college students.
He pressed play again. "The dorms are quite spacious and homey, as some students will find themselves living here for long periods of time. The architecture is fairly modern in comparison to the rest of the school, as the dorms were recently rebuilt. Each room comes with a personal bathroom, as well as a desk, bed, and other furniture. For students in high school and up, rooms also come with an included kitchen and full sized fridge. Shared rooms also come with a small living area that connects the bedrooms, where the kitchen area is located. The standard for a shared room is two bedrooms, but configurations exist with four, five, or six bedrooms. Dorms are gender neutral, so beings of all genders can share a dorm room."
The last but of information was a relief to hear. Knowing his cousin, she would have gone through a number of lengths to making sure they stuck together. It was endearing in a way, but it would no doubt have caused some trouble. He walked down the hall, mindfully listening to what the guide was saying.
